BB Curve 8500 :: Deleting Read-only Pictures
Mar 2, 2010I've already deleted pictures in my media card, but however in "all pictures" mode, I still see the old *and ugly* files there. Have tried to delete them, but my phone says it can't do that since it is read only. What should I do?

May 13, 2010has always worked fine, i view on the phone and they stay til i either delete or view on my computer. but today they have just started vanishing from my phone after i recheck my mails and when i go onto my laptop they are not there at all. I've checked and its still set to ask me before it deletes but it is and i cant find out whats happening . I've not changed any settings either . it just started of its own accord. help please as I've lost some important mails already.

Sep 24, 2015I bought this 128 GB SDHC card. When I try to load music onto it, it recognizes about 10 GB and then everything after that it says "player does not support this kind of file," though it's all just mp3s or m4as, both of which the card is recognizing. The files get loaded onto the card but can't be played, or even organized by artist or title. I've tried formatting, no good. I even contacted the seller and had him send me a new one, but the same problem occurred, so it's not a defect in one single card. I've tried loading the files through a card reader and directly through the phone, no luck. If it's a 128 GB card, how come it won't recognize any files past 10 GB?
Update: I just ran SD Insight on my phone. It tells me the model is APPSD and the size of the card is 134 GB. However, under manufacturer, it says, "SD card is invalid." Some more info from the scan: Serial #0x687, manufactured June 2015, SD card specification: physical layer version 2.00, CPRM security support: SDHC card (security version 2.00).

Oct 14, 2014I have a decent quality (Samsung) 64gb Micro SD Card for my G3. Every time I put all of my music onto it then put it in my phone, it wipes all my music files off straight away. I checked if they were hidden by putting my SD Card back into the computer but they are actually getting deleted. I have tried some basic things (formatting the card, power on and off, etc) but I'm not having much luck.

I can delete these photos one by one following directions in the Guide but it does not make sense to repeat this step 150 times and there must be a quicker way to go about it.
What I want to do is to delete the entire contents of that Pictures Folder in one step. I have looked into the BB Torch User Guide Ver 6.0 and in Help for the BB Desktop Software and have not found any directions on deleting entire folders or multiple files in a folder in one step.

Mar 8, 2014I've recently (like earlier today) gotten ahold of MPAtool so I can get all my album art back into place.
First off, the app is awesome and if you don't currently use it, I'd highly recommend it.
ONLY problem is those "dummy files".
Every Youtube video I see on it instructs you to go to the "Music + Videos" icon, select "music", then while under "artists" you hit the # so you can bring up the alphabet of artists, from here you select the globe on the bottom right of the screen. Doing this then bring up the MPA tool dummy "artist" and you are under the "albums". Swipe left to go to songs. Hit the select icon on the bottom row so now you can easily "select all" and then delete them all at once.
