BB Bold :: Create Multiple Contacts For The Same Company?
May 4, 2012
I want to create multiple contacts for the same company where the main phone, fax, address are all the same. Need this as a productivity boost. This is also helpful when adding friends or family that are at the same address to.Searched the boards, support, kb but no luck yet.
Recently when I add a new contact the 9700 creates multiple entries. When I delete these multiple entries then it leaves approx 10 blank spaces. If I leave the multiple entries for the same person then the next person who I add will only show once. Why do they appear multiple times? How can I delete the multiple entries so they do not reappear when I create the next entry?
how do you create a pause while putting in a phone number into contacts = i am putting in a l. distance card and have to create a pause then add the pin number?
I can't be the first person with this problem but I don't see any posts for it. I keep getting duplicates of my contacts listed. When I remove them one by one they just come back later. What can I do to eliminate this problem?
I have a problem with deleted names and numbers in my address book coming back and also multiple contacts appearing in my contact list. I delete and sync with my online and desktop and it still happens.
I have created three filters in my contacts, lets say Family, Friends and Colleagues.I want to see Friends and Colleagues only and do not want to see family members listed in contacts. To achieve this I guess I need to select the filters Friends & Colleagues and leave the Family filter unchecked. But the problem is, if a filter is selected and I try to select a second filter, the previously selected filter gets un-selected. It lets me select only one filter at any point in time.Is there a way to select two or more filters? If so, please let me know how to do that.
I have contact list with records for a lot of people (300+), each with several phone numbers each, home, mobile & work, etc, .I can't seem to find a way to have the iPhone announce the name & number or name & type (home, mobile, work) of the caller from the contact list, my old cell phone could do that easily.
At the moment what I've been doing as a work around for a few (important) people is to create a custom ringtone for that caller & that phone number. Since it also seems there's no way to attach a different ringtones to each number in a single contact record I've had to create multiple contact records for each person, each with a different name/number combination such as "John Doe Work", "John Doe Home" or John Doe Mobile" then assign to it the custom ringtone I created for that name/number.
I need to this so that if I receive a call while I'm driving (or whatever) that I can't answer right then for some reason (often happens), the ringtone I created for that name & number helpfully lets me know who & where their calling from. It's very important to know where someone is calling from, if someone's calling from home then I know I've got some time, but if their calling from work then I need to get back to them quickly.
having to make multiple contacts & ringtones for a every person with multiple numbers is a extraordinary waste of time. My old cell phone could do this with no problem but there doesn't seem to be any way to do this with my new iphone.
Why can't I search my contacts by company, like BB? Is this in the next update? I have 4000 corporate sync contacts and I can't always remember who I need from a particular company. Improper handling of Outlook 2010 contacts is a deal killer. Some of the contacts in my phone are a complete mess. There is random historical addresses and numbers that don't appear in outlook anymore but are evidently stored somewhere for the phone to access. The DC contact duplicate entry is annoying but it works. I have been putting this phone through it's paces for about 2 weeks and I am satisfied otherwise.
when I search contacts on my Motorola admiral it only searches first and last names. So if I have a contact without a first or last name it doesn't show up in the results at all. How can this be? A business centric phone can't search contacts by organization/business name! I called sprint and Motorola support and their solution was for me to manually go through all my contacts and put something in the first/last name field
I recieved my 9650 this morning.I setup 2 email addresses (that actually were moved from my curve to my bold), and all of my emails are dumping into ONE folder i hate it. I liked on my curve how I had 2 distinct seperate email icons (boxes) that had work and personal. How do I setup my phone to have multiple icons for my multiple email accounts?

What exactly will my IT department have access to on my BB if I allow them to connect me to their BES server. I would love to get my email and calender items; however, I do not want them to have access to my personal mail and/or my texts and so on.The BES server feature is great; but RIM really needs to have a way to basically partition your device. To allow you to link with one phone to your work and have all of your personal items; yet keep them separate so if you leave the company and they wipe your device they only wipe the company side. Not all of your personal data.
att bold 9700.uber Noob with BB.Company email is Microsoft exchange "outlook" web based, so I can log into my email with username/password from any basic internet access port. company has BES for BB users and I've got BIS data plan. I'd rather not pay for the higher data plan as I pay my own expenses (including device and mth charges) and I don't have to have real time/instant email access to company mail. I WOULD like my phone to have it receive my comp mail by having my outlook email "forward" it (i've tried that with no success) or by programming my BB to "go check for mail" from that account every so often.
any ideas on how I can get my company "outlook" email to forward to my blackberry email? or even my YahooMail (it notifies me already)
I have recently purchased a blackberry bold 9000 secondhand. It is originally a telstra device (it's covered in Telstra logos and on start up it has the telstra splash screen). I purchased it from a man in New Zealand, who himself purchased it from the person who had it on your network, so finding any information about the original owner is nigh impossible. I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your company. I have the PIN and IMEI numbers registered to me with the my current carrier (telecom new zealand), also as a precaution I have upgraded the OS to my carrier branded version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004,platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier supports). Interesting things to note is that when connected to a wireless (wi-fi) connection with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. I am not connecting to any enterprise server, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are set to direct.telecom.co.nz with blanks for both the username and password. I have tried deleting and resending the service books many times (each time followed by a"hard-reset"). I have tried wiping the device several times. The dataservices option in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is reading as the correct carrier, and is tuned to the right network mode (3G & 2G). The browser option, under advanced options, which in turn is within the options menu, has only one setting, "Default browser configuration:" which is showing a blank space, and does not give the option to change it.The exact error says that "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device.
I apologize if this question has been asked but I just can't seem to get a clear cut answer so I thought I ask the BB experts!I have a personal BB Bold 9000 phone. I have setup a Gmail account on my phone using POP3 and I see that my personal emails from Gmail are delivered to my Gmail inbox.
My company offers a BES server and last week they set me up so all my work email which is setup on Exchange is pushed to my phone. At this point, I have 2 accounts setup on my phone: a personal gmail account and a work exchange account.
Can my personal emails be seen by my company knowing that one uses POP3 and is delivered to its own mailbox and the other is setup on a BES account?I have disabled my contacts from being uploaded/synced with my work but I need to know if our IT can see my personal email. If so, how can I disable it?I want to say no, they can't but I am not 100%.
I tried to create groups on the native phone app on my LG G4. Although it allows me to create a new group, it only shows a single contact as an option for any new group. I have 1000+ contacts on the device, and the native Contacts app has them (when I click the Contacts tab, there they all are).
I was on an hour-long chat with t-mobile who kept telling me the steps for creating a group, which I know. Their final advice: hard reset. I just got the damn phone, so I'd like to avoid the stress of configuring 100+ apps, folders, contacts, etc.
FYI, I have one Exchange email account and a few gmail accounts, if that has any relevance. I just migrated from the Samsung Galaxy S5 on Verizon and I relied on groups a good amount.
Have a Galaxy S5. I am trying to create groups in contacts but when I get to the step of adding contacts to the group no names/contacts appear. The only option to add is Voicemail. All contacts are stored on the SIM card. I can also create a new group but still don't get to select names from existing contacts.
I wish to create a 'simple' backup of my Contacts, stored on my iPhone4, on my PC via iTunes WITHOUT syncing it to ANY email software, like Yahoo, Outlook, Windows, etc.... Apps or music are straight forward, but phone contacts appears not.
xperia x10, how can I easily view all contacts to send the same sms to with out typing in the first 2 letters of there name, just want a drop down list because sometimes I can't remeber everybodys name that I want to send the message to because sometimes its 30 people and that would be a slow way of doing typing the first 2 letters, is this at all possible, last phone had drop down box and you just scrolled through and ticked which ones
I receive this message whenever I try to access the "New Contact" option on my blackberry curve 8520 "Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(255)". I can't add new contacts nor can I edit existing contacts! I've already tried removing the battery whilst the phone is on.
