Suddenly, the SpeedDial numbers, although appear correctly when edited, are prefixed with a "+1" which prevents the calls from being completed.How can I fix it and remove this unwanted prefix, that suddenly appeared there?
View 2 RepliesNew torch bought in Australia adds the No. 86 to the start of each of my contacts numbers when I call/message them. So the contact number 04xx yyy zzz becomes 864xx yyy zzz. Being Chinas' country code I am guessing my phone originated in China???? How do I stop the phone from adding the prefix??

We'd like to define a standard prefix (say 1111) which would be added to the beginning of each number dialed (be it from Contacts or a manually entered number). E.g. I choose to call "Mark" from my Contacts on the C3 whose stored cell number is 6944333333; the actual number that will be called will be 11116944333333.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I imported Address Book to my iPhone, it also imported my prefix field. When I receive a known phone call or I am searching for a contact, all I can see is "Mr. and Mrs...." in the screen. Certainly I need the prefix for my Macbook when writing letters, address labels, etc., but not in my iPhone. I cannot seem to find a satisfactory way to delete the prefix on my iPhone.
I did think about making a copy of AB and then deleting the prefixes, but even that seems difficult as (so far) the only way I can make that work is my deleting each prefix, individually. I have a thousand contacts and that seems awfully laborious. Finally, I'm not even sure how I could merge that into iPhone without screwing up my original Address Book.

All my contacts are saved with the country code prefix so that when I travel internationally I can dial my contacts directly. However, when I receive a call from one of my contacts calling without the country code prefix, the iPhone doesn't recognise the contact as the number calling. The only way it works is when I save the contact twice - once with and then without the country code prefix. Is there a fix for this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening to me yesterday afternoon. All the sudden none of my messages would go out. I called Verizon in a panic. They opened a ticket. A while later I received a message from my sister and was able to respond back fine. Turns out the Motorola messaging app does not like international prefix in front of the number. Now i get to go through all my contacts and manually take out the +1. I tested this on my Bionic, Droid X2, and Droid 2 R2D2, all with the most current software release. OG droid still works fine, I'm guessing since it doesn't use the Motorola app. Also tested and am able to send messages fine with the +1 prefix on an iPhone and windows mobile confirming Verizon answer that it was a device issue when they called me back in regards to my ticket moments ago?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am an Executive Assistant and use Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis. I have up to 3 or more different calendars created for various things. This is the same case as with my Contacts. I have a separate contact list for my boss as I do for myself. And with regard to the calendars, I do this so I can print him off a calendar at any time without it being affected by anyone else's or my own appointments showing up.
I am very familiar with Blackberry's and my work has awesomely provided me with a new BB Bold 9650.THE ISSUE: My BB is syncing all calendars and contact lists. I DO NOT want to sync all these calendars and contact lists.I just want to sync certain calendars and only certain contact lists. My BB is a crazy ol' mess with contacts showing up 2 and sometimes 3 times and the one calendar I can view on my BB has my boss' appointments with my appointments and other crazy appointments.I swear I think my appointments even have appointments. LOL! (cheesy joke).WHAT I DO KNOW: My company is using a "BES" (?) server for wireless syncing. I have already tried going into options>advanced options>default services to change the calendar I am picking up. It's stuck and I do not have the ability to change it. I am guessing it's b/c my job has the phone "locked" with an IT policy.
I have searched and searched online to try and figure out how to get around this to no avail. I spoke with Verizon and they said to contact my IT Department. I contacted my IT Department and they said to contact Verizon. BTW, the pi$$-ant in I have to work with in IT is in a wrank mood today as most days. Always testy and I would just love if I could call him up and tell his know-it-all punk a$$ what he needs to do to fix the problem. If it's something I can do on my own, that would be even better.
This may sound silly, but there are certain times when I text a particular number that I should not be utilizing. Aside from the obvious "self control" answer, is there a way to "block" a number so my device will not let me call or text it?

Ever since we had the phone we have been recieving the message "n:m=1=1" from 10476000000 every 15 minutes and it is real annoying. I took over the phone and did a clean reboot, and changing to my telephone number thinking this message was connected to her email accounts but I am also recieving the same message every 15 min. T-Mobile doesn't have a clue either. Anyone else have this problem and offer a solution.

* WiFi: What settings do I have to change so that my blackberry does transmit all data via WiFi and not GPRS or 3G? I do not have a data plan and don't want one

I have a bold 9700 runing v5.0.0351 and a mac book pro running OSX 10.6, blackberry desktop manager is v1.0.3.
I use address book to sync my contacts, but i cant sync mobile 2 or PIN. what can i do to fix this properly and not just label the other mobile as "other".
I wasn't able to find anything on transferring numbers from a standard phone to a VZW Bold. Am i missing a post somewhere or is it even possible without adding them in manually?

I read that I needed to download the desktop manager, which I did, and it seems to recognize the phone as that's what shows up on the software but, on the bottom right corner it just keeps saying "Connecting...".
