I have a new Bold 9900 and my messages window is only showing shone numbers and appears to be frozen as well.
I have tried to reset the settings to messages only to no avail. There really seems to be something wrong because new calls are not even showing up Unopened messages continue to show up on the home screen at the top
When you goto phone and select a person, it opens a window to hit the call button for that person - below it shows text messages - even deleted ones. want to remove that feature...

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I checked my text message inbox this morning to find a random number sitting there in between messages I had gotten the day before. There wasn't any writing underneath the number and when I clicked on the number, there wasn't even a text message... as if it was blank. What's weirder is that my phone didn't even register that I'd gotten a new text.. the number just appeared.

I have many contacts that are couples and have a phone number for each individual. For example, if I had a contact for Jack & Jill, I would have a mobile number for Jill and a mobile number for Jack. In the Contacts I also custom label each mobile number as Jill's mobile and Jack's mobile.When I receive a text message from either of these phone numbers, in Messages I just see that the text is from Jack & Jill. I can't see if it is from Jack's mobile or Jill's mobile.Is there any way to see in Messages exactly which mobile is sending me the text? Or am I going to have to have a separate contact for each person, i.e. Jack & Jill will have to be split up as a contact for Jill and a contact for Jack?

I have a contact with two phones - for instance, John and Jane Doe. I want to text them each separately, and easily see who I'm texting. But in the Messages history, it displays "John and Jane Doe". And it's a hassle to click on the message, then "Contact", then "i" to see which is colored blue.Â
I've even added custom identifiers to each phone number in gmail contacts. Instead of "Mobile" or "Work" I used their names, "John" and "Jane". I'd like to see those custom identifiers in the Messages app.

Suddenly my Message and SMS window has stopped opening. TrackPad and buttons are working good with other options but problem persists only with Message and SMS window.

View 9 Replies View RelatedUsually when I write an sms it shows up green and imessages shows up blue, and they both show up chronologically in the same window. I.e. my iphone understands it is from the same person and therefor post both types of messages in the same window. However a month ago or so my boyfriends imessages started showing up in a seperate window from his regular green text messages... Why? We have changed no settings of any sort. Nothining has been altered, and on his iphone both types of texts show up in the same window. My other iphone contacts also show up in the same window with both green an blue texts. How come his dont? His email as such is not a part of his contact details, i did however try adding it to see if that would help make the messages go in the same window but it didnt He has a iphone 3s i have 4, (not s).All I want is for the blue and the green messages to live together in perfect harmony within one window...

I am wondering how do you make all the numbers associated with a contact copy over to the phone? For example, aunt c's numbers are 954... and 305... on the sim card but when I copy all contacts only the 954 number is copied.

The "selfie" window shows up small rather than full screen. The normal back-facing camera is fine.
I'm trying to modify my text message options. In the message list window I press the Blacberry key, scroll down and select 'options' - the options page pops up for about a second, and then I'm taken back to message list. I'm able to open email and other options windows without an issue - this only happens for text message options. Any ideas?

I read that I needed to download the desktop manager, which I did, and it seems to recognize the phone as that's what shows up on the software but, on the bottom right corner it just keeps saying "Connecting...". My daughter and I both have iPhone 4s's, but for some reason, when I tap the screen near the time while texting her, the option to call her does NOT appear. The only choices are "Email, Contact Info and Load Earlier Messages". I have deleted her contact info and recreated it, and it still is the same.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my first ever BB yesterday, the Bold 9700, but there's a problem with the address book which is driving me nuts! Despite setting the phone up for all available UK localisation options on the startup wizard I cannot enter the postcodes of my contacts in the address book. The field is labelled "zip/postcode" but will not accept letters, just numbers as would be the case for a zip code. I've tried to override the number lock which is the default for this field, but the phone will not allow it.
I've rechecked the "options" folder and the "advanced options" subfolder, but there is nothing which gives me an option to overcome my problem. For those unfamiliar with UK postcodes, they mostly follow the format AB1 3XY but some have a seven character format AB12 3XY. BB's have been in the UK for ages so surely someone knows how to fix this issue, unless it's specific to my model which I understand hasn't been out that long.
I have 3 mail accounts connected to my bb. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I like having my texts and emails coming through in my message box but when I have a load of IM messages coming through from yahoo and msn just because I've not got the app open at the time (but still signed in) is a little annoying
View 5 Replies View RelatedI"ve had my bold 9700 for one month. The first 3 weeks were fine, all of a sudden, I keep getting the message icons at the top of the screen, but there are NO messages. I've deleted all messages, texts, phone calls etc., icon is still there. AT&T, nor the blackberry store seems to have a solution. I don't want to have to pull my battery every time this happens (multiple times per day).
