I have a status indicator that looks like a cross in a circle followed by ))). I assume something is being sent but I can't find out what. In addition, my battery now drains in about 2 hours.

I seem to have this unusual status indicator on my home screen. It has seem to appear after I did an upgrade one of my application. It has the number 1 with a golden globe shaped to it. Can someone please inform me what that status indicator means.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've looked all over the web, my instruction manual, the index inside the phone, and in still cannot find the meaning of this symbol in the middle of my battery bar. From what I've seen on the internet, its as almost as if it does not exist. I would probably believe so if it was not for the fact that I am staring at it right now as I type this. I have had problems with the USB port on it before and I am pretty sure that has something to do with it. Also when Its plugged into the computer and the port and USB are finally working in unison, the computer says that it is malfunctioned.

I use Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro (Gingerbread and updated). Since I use Facebook App for Android on my Xperia Pro for posting status message, I never see that Xperia Brand appears on status message indicator on the bottom of the status, e.g. 1 minute ago via Xperia. Whereas, other Xperia smartphones such as Arc, Mini Pro, etc, no problem was found (the brand appears).

View 3 Replies View Relatedquick question regarding the LED coverage indicator.I currently have 2 bb's a curve 8310 and of course a bold 9700. i have set both bb's to have the LED coverage indicator on. the curve 8310 LED constantly blinks green while the 9700 only blinks while im on a call or if i am using my bbm. the BOLD always has full bars of coverage so im not sure if they changed the way the led indicator works or if there is just a problem with my 9700.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have an unread message indicator (little yellow envelope +3) on my screen, but I don't have any unread messages in my list.
So far, I've tried the following:
1. Typed "u" to search for unread messages and it tells me that I have no unread messages.
2. I went into my email and selected "mark prior unopened" and still nothing.
3. I've tried to restart the phone the phone. When I do, I end up with even more unread messages that I have to select -- over and over again! I can always get it back down to 3, but no fewer.
4. The date and time on my phone appears to be correct.
5. I have no "saved" messages on my phone.
6. I have no new or saved voicemail on my phone.
my new message indicator will not go away. i have no unopened items (even have used Search to try to find them). In the main menu, it always shows a (1) in front of my email address even if i delete all emails.

To my supprise the battery indicator stayed on 100% for 3-4 days until it suddenly closed down while using it, saying battery was low...(not exact message). I charged it to 50% but after a day it is reading 50% still.

Options--> Status.
In 3G, the highest value is -70dB regardless how good the signal is.
In 2G, the highest value seems to be -55dB.
How can you make the 3G status to be as accurate as the 2G status, as in, to display numbers above -70dB...
I recently got my Blackberry Bold 9700 and I used to use crunchsms on my Blackberry Curve 8520 so I didn't mind the message indicator whenever I got an email because crunchsms had it's own message indicator. I now realize that whenever I receive a text and email it results to the same message indicator. I have done: Messages > Options > Inbox Settings and have unclicked my email account so that the message inbox remain separate. I don't understand how I have the latest OS version yet have to deal with this. Is there someone who can help? Or is there a theme that I can download that separates the sms/mms and email complete so that I may get two entire different message notifications?

After I read the message and save or delete it the message light still flashes. Why is this and why won't the light stop flashing? The only way I can get it to stop flashing is take the battery out and put it back in. Verizon is my carrier and it is a Verizon 9650 phone.

Whenever I get a new email message (I've set up my Gmail account on the phone) the notification icon beside the envelope doesn't appear. I'm getting the mega-small icon in the top bar, but the red asterisk isn't appearing on my larger Gmail icon (the one that appears on the bottom dock thing.What's confusing me is that it IS appearing on the 'Messages' icon. Any clues as to why this is happening there but not on y Gmail mail icon? I've looked through the settings but can't seem to find anything.

I even let the battery drain completely, and it remained on. Also, the other indicator lights, do not seem to be working. My friend recently knocked my phone off of a table, and while I have a case for it, I'm wondering if the two might be related.
