View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is pretty dead - screen is white and no buttons respond. A new phone is on its way from orange and I'm trying to get videos off the bb onto my desktop. I've managed with the photos but can't get more than a couple of videos from the bb onto the desktop (using desktop software). Not sure if they are on the phone or media card. (On software, none show up in 'my videos' file. How do I do this only using desktop/ usb and not accessing phone?

Nothing else. It is fully recharged ( or so it indicates) every night. I still have 1 year on the contract with my provider.

I have checked out the charge on the battery i.e. is it below 5-10% charge, when i believe everything gets disabled to save the battery.Policies have been applied to the curve, one of which is to disable connection to pc's, could this be having an affect does anyone know?

I have read the helpful advice posted on this subject. But it does not help. I have a Bold 9000 and accidently I let it run completely and utterly dead. Now whatever I do, I cannot start it. I have plugged it into a charger, I bought a car lead because I have found that this gives a boost, and I have bought a new battery.
Whatever I do, it does not work. Unlike previous writers, when I plug it into any of the charging sources I do not even get a red light, absolutely nothing. When I attach it to the computer nothing is recognised. I am sure that it has not been physically damaged, it has merely run absolutely flat.I am stuck in a holiday destination. Can anyone advise me?
When I went to sleep last night, my phone was working fine. It was on my bed and charging. When I woke up this morning, it was still plugged in but completely dead.
It won't turn on, it doesn't have the red light when charging, nothing. I tried a different charger, tried the force restart, even tried the little yellow button and still nothing.
The only thing I can imagine is that it severely overheated and blew the engine. Nothing else makes sense. Is there anything else I can do beyond replacing it?
My phone has been off for the past 5 days and wen i switched it on this morning it would not switch on. I've removed the battery, put it back in and it still wont switch on. All it show is a dead battery sign. I've been charging it for the past 4 hours and it still shows the same sign. A red flashing light keeps goin on and off and i dont know what that indicates. Do i need a new battery or the phone has a fault?

Currently when i use the HDMI cable the screen turns such that the cable goes in from the bottom which if the XOOM is on my lap is awkward. It would bebetter if the HDMI port was at the top.

I've upgraded to v5.0.1 blackberry desktop manager and now I cannot sync my calendar (outlook 2003) via USB cable. There is no error message - I can sync Address, Tasks, and Memos just fine, but completely ignores my calendar settings. Sync settings are correct to sync everything. I am using a BB 9700, most updated firmware.
I have done numerous google searches and found if I delete the fb service book then it should work - this has worked in the past but for some reason is not working now.I downgraded back to v5.0 blackberry desktop manager but now back to square one - can sync everything just fine, completely ignores my calendar - no error messages.
We have a problem where a Blackberry Bold is not synchronising the calendar with Outlook. All other parts seem to synchronise OK.I have done quite a bit of trouble shooting but have so far been unable to resolve and therefore need some help.Note during the synchronisation process, it never gives a dialogue box to say synchronisation complete and I am not sure if that is because something is going wrong or it always done that. The version of Blackberry desktop manager is the latest 5.0.1 and the.Anyway, I have for example tried creating a new profile in Outlook and set the synchronisation to sync with that.
I get the same results. None of the calendar entries appear in the Outlook calendar. Also note I did try and check the logs as explained at the following link but did not really get the same results. I did delete a calendar entry that I found but it did not seem to resolve the problem. Please advise me on the best steps to trouble shoot this problem.Obvious things such as restarting the PC and restarting the blackberry have been tried.
I recently installed/ updated the BB Desktop Software and when I plug in my BB Curve 8520, my comp doesn't recognize the device.
Note 1: I've installed all updates on my computer AND the new OS on my phone already. Note 2: My phone recognizes that it's plugged into the computer because begins to charge.
I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:

I came home, put the phone on the charger for a bit, and then tried to restart it.
When it restarted, I had the safe mode thing in the bottom left corner, and most of my folders are now gone. The apps are still in my app listing, but are gone from my main screens...
I plugged in my ip4 last night a couple hours before going to bed, and noticed that it was up to 100% when I went to bed. I woke up and, still plugged in, was at 97%...?Is this normal by any means? I mean, I know my MBP which I always have plugged in will drop charge while plugged in to such %'s (97,98,99).however my ip4 has never done this before.

I plugged my Torch in overnight to charge. When I woke up in the morning, the phone would not turn on so I took the battery out a few times and tried to reset it. When I plugged it into the charger and tried to turn it on, I got the battery symbol with a red X through it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've experienced my TN765 shutting itself down because of lower battery power, even when it's plugged in via USB to a car charger.I realise that the battery will only charge if the device is turned off, that is fine, but it seems that it loses battery power even if it's powered. It's a very slow loss of charge, but on a long trip it can lose it all and shut down unexpectedly. And it isn't the charger working loose because the 'external power' icon is always displayed. It's a Motorola cigarette lighter plug charger. Is that normal and does it do this with the official mount or just on the USB?
View 8 Replies View RelatedOk, so just checking if there is any explanation other than a hardware problem here. I received my second refurb today after my first one arrived with obvious hardware problems and I had to send it back. Twice so far, while plugged in to the AC wall charger, my battery has started discharging. This is with the Motorola wall charger and Motorola extended battery. One time I was using the phone when this happened and the other I was not - it was just sitting there with nothing happening on it but with the screen on and plugged in.
This has never happened before, so if it is a hardware problem, it would be much more likely the "new" phone rather than the battery. I don't want to go through the replacement process a third time and lose even more time without a functioning phone if this could potentially be caused by something else. They said they will not send me a new (non-refurb) phone, no matter how many problems I have and no matter how many broken "certified like new" phones they send me. Doing a search on this, all I found were posts about car chargers not providing enough power with Navigator in use, which does not apply to my case. I really want this not to be a hardware problem with the phone since they will just send me yet another untested, broken refurb, so I'm just grasping for straws I guess despite the obvious.
Since a couple of months I have a Nokia E75.The battery performance was never very good, but the last 2 months it has fallen to less than half a day. I already bought a new battery but that doesn't seems to be the problem.I have Handy Taskman to see which apps are running and I leave only email running with syncing to exchange every hour.Any ideas?
View 7 Replies View Relatedhave a storm 9550 and the battery is not charging anymore. I have used it for 6 months. Whne i plug into the power source if shows a battery with a red cross in the screen and just stays like that forever.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor starters, my battery indicator does not seem to work. Even taking that into account, I manually check it constantly and it's at 100%. It never goes below that because the phone just suddenly goes black (and dead) every single day. There is no warning, nothing. So, I will recharge it and it shows that it IS charging though it will again be fully charged in about two hours. It is on the charger overnight, but will suddenly go totally black/dead every late afternoon without fail. Today, it happened even while I was typing. No, I haven't bought a new battery - I have taken it out and put it back in. I'm not convinced the battery is the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy battery goes completely dead but ONLY after i switch it off for the night. It seems to drain away but is perfectly OK during the day. I bought a new (Blackberry) battery and it does the same thing. Is there ac software fix for this or is my phone (bought from a reputable used hone store) just useless?I was also told that the little dot just inside the phone by the charger is supposed o be gold in colour and of it has turned blue then it means that the phone has water damage?
