demo games, who hates looking at those icons and hiding them or moving them every time you download a new theme? I know I was, but I am demo game free now. Now, it really is as simple as this to get rid of them,
Go to options>advanced options>service book Then delete the service books for those demo games and the icons disappear, I have done it with both my 8520 and my 9700.
since I've update my OS with the v5.5.5.593 official, my AppWorld icon has disappear ! I've downloaded it again from the blackberry website but it doesn't change anything ! can see it in my applications list but I didn't find the icon !

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have made my text message icon a favourite and created two separate email accounts, each with their own icons, and also made them my favourites and have reordered all three of these icons on the Favourites screen. Every so often (no logical reason) they completely disappear from the Favourites screen and I have to copy them all over again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had an iPhone 4 for about a year. For the past several months, I've been having a problem with all of my apps disappearing. Some are games but I've paid for and installed others. They download fine and work fine but about once a week, all of the icons just disappear! If I go to the app store, I can install them again and some have the content/information but others don't.

When I click on them, I have to individually download each (the phone just comes with the links/logos), but I only have use for one game and three downloads (starred). How do I get rid of the rest in my games and downloads folders? I've tried deleting them with BlackBerry Desktop Manager, but the links/logos still show up... View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had several occasions on turning on my AT&T Galaxy S2 phone where all 7 of my screens were blank except for the 4 icons at the bottom. In fact, every screen had a message in the middle saying to drag items to add them to the screen, like it was *supposed* to be blank. Before today, turning the phone off and on again resolved this.In fact, when I clicked on the Applications icon at the bottom, got nothing but a spinning circle. After a minute or two, I pulled the battery, returned it, and powered up again. This time, everything is again normal. But I am concerned. This phone is just 5 weeks old.

The "apps" icon stays, but the others that I place there because they're the ones I use frequently all disappear, and I have to put them back into the dock bar.

However when it was done, my email icons were gone. I can only read my emails with the "messages" icon, but not my different email adresses appart. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSomething real strange happens when I turn my phone off and on again or if it reboots for any reason.Three (all Android Market apps) of my shortcut icons on the home screen are replaced by a blue generic looking icon. They still work as shortcut though. The way to fix this is to delete them from the home screen and then set up a new shortcut: The app icon shows up as expected.......... until the next time I turn off my Razr. Annoying to say the least.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have not had this problem before Gingerbread and have just now noticed it after backing up some SD card data to my PC.Turns out that, when I connect the Droid X to the PC and the SD card is unmounted by that process, several icons disappear from my home screen. It appears to be apps that have partially installed themselves to the SD card (I have not manually moved anything to the SD card or installed apps there because I still have several gigabytes of space on the phone itself) and only those apps. Interestingly they appear to only be games (Angry Birds, Need For Speed Shift, The Sims 3...)I ran an experiment on the phone itself and simply unmounted the SD card and, sure enough, the same apps disappeared from the home screen after I replaced them. Then I did it again by connecting the phone to the PC and again they disappeared.
So this only happens when unmounting the SD card for me. I looked through as many postings on this as I could and I do not have any of the apps mentioned that may be causing this problem, I have gigabytes of free space on both the phone and the SD card, RAM is not filled, and nothing but the basic phone apps are running. Rebooting or battery pulling does not bring the icons back.And this only happened on Gingerbread. The same games did not disappear when I connected the phone to the PC on Froyo.
I have a Bold 9700 on the Bell Network and have lost all the BB functions. Phone was working fine and then I lost all ability to access email and BBM.
The email icons are there but the BBM icon vanished along with all my other app icons (NHL, Weather, ZoomPass etc.). I've also noticed that the blackberry logo that is usually beside the 3G icon in the top right is also gone. What is weird is that the phone can still make calls, text and browse. Bell data support says everything is fine on there end. I've wiped the unit via JL_Cmder and reinstalled the latest OS 5.0.0.545 and still not working.
Starting when I installed 5.0.0.545, and continuing on .593, and .593 pwncakes hybrid I have this minor problem I did not used to have. On my browser's go to page, the icons for the search options are cut off or missing. See the images below. This did not happen with my stock .293, .405, or any versions I used prior to .545
Is this "normal" or is something a little off with my 9700? I don't think I've wiped it since my .545 install, just upgraded.
Techno help needed again! Can some body please explain; why the small icons (pictures) for my email accounts keep disappearing and re-appearing whenever they choose? More importantly how do I stop them disappearing again?

One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.

Some icons are ALWAYS listed under this "quick menu" whether they are closed or not, such as BB messenger, Browser etc. Is there any way I can add or remove icons in this quick menu?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a strange issue on my BlackBerry 9700 Bold, which I got on Orange UK. For some reason my E-mail and SMS Notifications are stacking under the same icon. So for example if I have 3 e-mails and 1 text it shows 4 as the e-mail Notification icon. I have friends on Vodafone who get two separate icons. So far I've tried the following: I've tried updating the firmware to the latest sticky at the top of this forum. Making sure Display New message indicator under General Options is set to yes Battery pull. I still get a red star over the SMS icon in the menu, but just no notification. In my themes menu I have Precision Zen and Precision Orange. Both have the same issue.
