BB Bold 9650 :: Old And Duplicate Emails Being Pushed?
Aug 9, 2010
When I set up email on the device, I began receiving new email, but not old unopened stuff that was sitting in my inbox. I didn't worry about it because I really didn't want to have to sift through mail that I would have opened already if it were important. Then I went on the BB website and validated my accounts (That step isn't in the set-up instructions, and I didn't initially realize that it was necessary.), and now that old email is being pushed. Some of it has already been opened, so I'm not sure why it's being sent again, but my chief concern is the sheer volume of it. I have over 1500 unopened messages going back a few years, and I certainly don't want all of them dropping onto my BB. So far, I've had two dumps of about 75 messages each-- one yesterday after I visited the BB website, and another when I turned on my device this morning. Is there a way to limit the number that will be pushed, or set a time limit so that I don't get messages that have been sitting on the server for years? The other problem is, they aren't sorting by date of original delivery, so my BB inbox is currently a mess. When I set up my previous BB, I remember getting old, unopened mail, but I thought that it was sorted by date on the device, no?
I did a battery pull last night and monopoly didn't push through to my phone. Is this a bad thing? My kid likes the game so I wanted to check it out. Do you have to be subscribed to something to have it? I am on verizon. I did notice that social beat or something like that did apear recently. Just wondering.
On Friday the 23rd, Emails stopped getting pushed down to my device. In the Gmail account access logs, you can clearly see "68.171.236.171" checking in every so-often, and that IP resolves to bda-68-171-236-171.bise.eu.blackberry.com, so the Gmail-BIS link is (homefully) working. After two phone calls to O2, they have told me that there are "500 emails in the queue" to go down to my device. Well, where the hell have these come from, since I have around 180 emails (GitHub and Heroku post-push and post-deploy hooks) waiting in the inbox, and so I am left wondering where the 320-ish emails have arrived from in the BIS queue. Anyway, the person at O2 told me to delete all of the emails off of the device as it may be too big for emails to be pushed down. She also said that if it didn't work I would have to take it back into the shop I got it for repair. Big unhappy face since the shop we got it from is quite a long drive away and I will be without my phone on holiday next week.
if someone can help me on this one. This last week every once and a while when I send out an email from my bold 9900 it gets duplicated and is sent out twice. So for example if I send an email out to someone, that person would get that email twice.
suddenly all the emails I sent from my BB started to duplicate (I only have my business email account on my BB). This only happens with messages I sent from the BB, not from my PC or tablet, and I can see the duplicates only on my BB.What's wired is that one copy of the email is with my automatic signature and the other without it...I have Enterprise Activation software installed on my BB to synchronize my account, calendar and contacts, I don't if this problem is related with this app. I thought maybe I could delete my email account from the BB and then re-install it with Enterprise Activation but I don't know if it's a good idea.
I bit the bullet and got an S5 today! I set up my Exchange email account on it and emails are NOT pushing to my device. I have SYNC on and set to PUSH. I know the issue is not with my exchange service as the emails are pushed immediately to my other devices (an iPad and an iPhone) but not to my S5. I only see the email if I manually sync. How can I rectify this?
Whenever I receive an email on my BBerry and leave it in my inbox and then receive a new email the first email gets deleted (both on my BBerry and on my computer). How can I remedy this? I'm used to using a Pearl and didn't have these issues. This Bold is driving me crazy it's possessed or something!
Every since yesterday my emails are not deleting even though they have been deleted via gmail or yahoo on the computer. I have tried resetting my tour and also tried deleting and reinstalling the programs but hasn't worked. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this probelm?
I have a new Bold 9650 running OS5. I have only 1 email account setup on my phone, its my work email, and its through Blackberry Enterprise. Whenever I open my "Messages" folder, ALL messages are shown (Emails/SMS/BBM). The only way to JUST see emails is to go to the "Inbox" folder, which is really annoying every time I want to JUST see my emails. Is there any way that I can set up a folder SOLELY for my emails? Or, can I make it that when I open up the messages folder only my email inbox is shown? I know it has something to do with the fact that I am using Enterprise for email and did NOT set it up directly through the Blackberry Email Setup.
I have tried to send an email from my BB but it shows a little clock and then when I check the message status is said."message status pending". I can receive emails just fine. Are the BB servers down??? Any one else having this problem?I did resend my service books.
My BlackBerry Bold 9650 all of a sudden stopped showing emails in Messages. All it will show is Text Messages. How do I get it to show emails again? This happened last Thursday. Yesterday it stopped even receiving emails at all. It still receives text messages, but that's it.
Emails are no longer being pushed to my 8330 unless I power it off first. When I power it back up, I receive my emails as before. Not sure that anything has changed from previous versions other than downloading latest Desktop manager software.
My new emails are no longer being pushed to My iPhone and iPad. It worked until a few days ago and no settings have been changed on either device. New emails are still being delivered to my MacBook. Any reason for this or is there something I can do to fix it?
I have had my phone for a day now and I am falling in deep like with it. But the email doesn't seem to push like a text message. All I could find as far as options was a sync every 15 minutes. But even that's to long. I want my emails instantly. I am using yahoo email.
Ok, first of all this is my first post; however, I've solved many of my other issues by reading past post and using past advice, so thanks in advance.
Hopefully I explain this well enough. I have the new 9650 from VZW. I have 3 email addresses, but I only wanted to see one calendar, so I went to options-advanced options-service book and deleted all of the CICALs so I only had one calendar. Which leads me to my question. I want to change the default email address that I am sending from. I have already gone to both options-advanced options-default services and messages-options-email settings- and changed them both to the email I want to use. When I go to send an email it still goes from the original default, the one I want to change.
I just set up my new BB bold with both my work email (BES) and my personal hotmail email (BIS). For some reason, when I send emails through hotmail on my phone, they do not show up in the sent folder on my hotmail account, when I access it on my PC. This issue does not occur with the work email. I did not have this problem with my previous BB curve, and all the settings appear to be the same.

I did the switch device in DM and everything appeared to go smoothly. However, my email accounts are there but i havent been receiving any new emails.. what should i do? Also, do i need to send my bbm contacts my new pin?
After I've deleted emails from my accounts on the computer, BB still shows all those unread emails. How can I refresh the BB so it matches? I don't want to delete everything twice. My wireless synchronization is definitely on.
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.
I have my AOL email account set up on my iPhone 4, and I get duplicates of every email that I receive. So when I open my email there is 2 of every one listed, and when I delete them I have to delete both of them.
After the RIM server problems last week and several long technical help calls to and from Sprint, my 3 email addresses have been reactivated (several times). However, I continue to receive every email in duplicate, which is better than not receiving at all but would like to resolve this minor problem.
Im super siked the the 9650 has arrived and im ready to get rid of the 8330, but with every smartphone of mine i've always had a black silicone smooth skin and a screen protector so if i buy a tour 9630 skin and screen protector will they fit on the bold 9650 right?
I swap between 2 SIM cards, 1 for the US (T-Mobile) and 1 in Belgium (Mobistar). This time when I switched cards (devices) from the US to the Belgian one, it started to duplicate the incoming (and also sent) emails from my Gmail account to the device I switched back to the US SIM and it's still duplicating emails. I've tried to delete the account and put it in again to no avail.
I've got a client with a bunch of BBs, they use BIS and Exchange. Whenever they send from Outlook, they get dupe emails on their phones. I found a supposed solution, which was to go into BIS and recreate the accounts with OWA instead of IMAP, but no matter what URL I type in, it tells me it's invalid. I also saw a possible solution that involved getting Exchange no to assign a new UID to the emails, but I'm not finding anything in Exchange to change that.
I have recently had to reformat my 8900 and for some reason after setting up my gmail account i an receiving one copy of each email in my gmail folder and also recieving another copy of the same email in my messages folder. this means that i really am recieving 1 in the email folder and 2copies of the same email in the messages folder. i am using BIS and have tried deleting and re-adding the email account and also resending the service books. i tried looking around but couldn't see the same problem which makes me think it's something simple I'm missing. it's nothing to do with sent messages which i have no problems with.
Does anyone beside me get duplicate (sometimes over a hundred) emails on their Droid RAZR? I have two different gmail accounts syncing to my phone but only one of them has this issue.
