Anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to access the calendar? If not, can I program one of the keyboard keys to access the calendar? I am already using both convenience keys.
View 13 RepliesIs the keyboard on the 9650 exactly the same as the 9630? Or is it the same as the keyboard on the 9700? The keyboard on the 9700 is much nicer in my opinion to that of the 9630 as its a little wider it seems and keys seem a touch bigger.
View 14 Replies View Relatedno matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've searched the net and other forums for support and cannot find a solution to this problem. Essentially, on my Blackberry Bold 9700 I lost the ability to hit the K button to lock the keyboard. I have a BB 9700 running v5.0.0.714. I had not installed any new software at all before getting this problem. I didn't do anything differently other than launch the Kayak app. I updated the app and also removed it but still the K button does not work to lock the keyboard.
After searching the forums, I found a couple suggestions (which didn't work):
- Reset the theme didn't work but it did make the 'keyboard lock' icon come back to the home screen. The issue is that there is no under the K to make it so when I hit K it locks the screen. I even tried the default theme (it's a T-Mobile US branded 9700) and didn't work either.
- Reinstall service books didn't work either didn't think there is a correlation here anyway.
- Full restart, batter pull did this multiple times didn't work.
- Update software all software apps and OS is up-to-date. I have fully uninstalled the kayak app just in case there was a correlation, still doesn't work.
I have had my Bold for almost 2 weeks but just noticed within the last day and half that something may be wrong with my keyboard backlight. I reviewed about 6 pages in this forum but didn't see this topic anywhere.
Does everyones keyboard light up with a touch of ANY key? Because mine isn't lighting up and might need to swap it out.
I would assume that hitting any key would make the lights come on but just wanted to get confirmation from someone.
Anyone having a problem with the phone locking when in holster? I have the setting right but it doesnt lock when I put it in the OEM holster. Even when I pass the flap magnet all over the phone nothing locks. Any ideas?
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently noticed that my keyboard backlight is out. I am driving myself crazy wondering if I ever had keyboard backlighting. Verizon Wireless support had no answers, but suggested that we hardset the Bold again. If that doesn't work, then they will replace with a "like new" phone. Is there keyboard backlighting on this model? If so, any suggestions to fix? Lastly, anyone had any luck with challenging the "like new" exchange policy for a phone just 4 months old.?

Hopefully I explain this well enough. I have the new 9650 from VZW. I have 3 email addresses, but I only wanted to see one calendar, so I went to options-advanced options-service book and deleted all of the CICALs so I only had one calendar. Which leads me to my question. I want to change the default email address that I am sending from. I have already gone to both options-advanced options-default services and messages-options-email settings- and changed them both to the email I want to use. When I go to send an email it still goes from the original default, the one I want to change.
Anyone have an idea how to remove a Group Calendar from my Bold 9650? I'm not sure how it got created but I have my Outlook (2007) calendar and a Group Calendar in spite of the fact the I have no BB Messenger Groups?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter one week, I think I got my Bold under control, but something still bothers me:I have my calendar set up to display my agenda when I open it. When I want to enter a new event, I open the menu, navigate to Go to date, click on it, the slider with day, month, date, year appears, I set to the date I want to go to and press the pad. It takes me NOT to the date I chose, but to the closest date with an event on it.
Is it because I have it set to display agenda? I"m I using a wong command sequence? Is this program dumb?
I had the 8530 curve2 and it wasnt a world phone. Now with the bold I thought I wouldnt have to pay the same 1.99 a minute. I would have to pay when outside the US as I would with the curve2. I am going to Israel. I want to text call email and use internet (bbm of course)so what plan to use.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from a 9630 to a 9650. I went into my BIS account and tried to update the pin but it refuses to recognize my new BB. I called my Cell provider and everything is working on their end, my new pin is registered and works fine.When I click on the Detect new device button i just get the following error
"Unable to detect new device. It may take a few minutes for a new device to be detected. Make sure your SIM card is in your new device and try again. If you do not have a SIM card, make sure your device is activated and try again."The device is activated and all data as well as phone works fine. I can manually setup my emails on the phone itself but in the email settings wizard i have no option to log into an existing account either.
My BB Bold 9650's flash and led stopped working and the mic's volume had weakened. Whats the prob here? Is it software specifically the OS? Device error 300 when I hard reset it.

Does anyone know how to get contacts, calender entries, memo's, tasks, etc into the phone through the use of a laptop? The CD-ROM that came with it wasn't recognized by my laptop for some reason so I just downloaded Desktop Manager from the BB website. I thought the manager would have the fields for this and I could just syncronize it with the laptop. To my disappointment this was not the case, apparently D.Manager is just a backup tool.I called Sprint and I was told I could use Gmail to enter contacts which is what I have been slowly doing. Oh yal, I don't have Microsoft Outlook either.Does anyone know of some software or something that can help me get ALL of the above mentioned item information into the phone thru my computer?Also, can anyone tell me why my battery runs out of a full charge rather quickly?? I have to charge it everyday and that's because I hardly make or receive calls. I think I use the phone (browser, messaging, etc) less than the average person. By the way I set my brightness to 50 and the back lighting time to 10 seconds which I think are pretty generous settings to help save battery energy. Yet the phone still needs a charge everyday. Reviews say it will last 4 to 5 days on standby. Not the case for me at all.Lastly, do any 9650 Sprint owners out there notice the end key (red) to be kinda faded?? Wondering if Igot a lemon in that respect, my red keys look faded and the white of the buttons (majority of keypad) lean towards a whitish-orangeish hue instead of what looks like the brighter whitish-blueish hue. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

ok, so i wanted to try to free up some memory space and delete some apps that i didn't need using desktop manager on my mac. i plug in the device, open desktop manager, click on the applications button, uncheck all the unnecessary apps (brickbreaker, asian languages, etc). when i go to proceed, i get a pop-up:
i can't seem to delete anything and i've checked online, but still no help. can someone help me out or guide me to where i may get some help?
I have a BlackBerry 9650 that's giving me the following error message when trying to update software or even delete/remove software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The exact error message appearing in Desktop Manager is:

I am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0.1. My phone actually has Application Memory Free Space 301.5 MB. My BlackBerry's version is 5.0.0.732. I cannot update or delete software using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Phone worked great for a week, then I installed the BBDM software and attempted to install a new app and It starts the process but at the end says it cannot connect to the device. Problem is, the BB is now completely reset and has none of my apps, contacts, pictures, videos, or anything else. Any ideas? I'm about to lose it here.

Now I am really, really starting to worry because it seems that in the next few months the TOUR 2 could be released. I am wondering if I will be able to return my Tour and get my money back, and my full upgrade and just wait for the Tour 2 to be released. If I have only had the phone for a few days, you think I will be able to switch to the Tour 2 no problem? I have sprint.
View 14 Replies View RelatedBold 9650 with Verizon will not allow me to reload BB Device Software. It displays the dreaded Error 513 -failed to install device driver, an Unspecified Error [hex code]. Popped battery, fully charged, retried 3+ times, upgraded BB Desktop software to Ver.7.1.0.32 (Bundle 33). Rebooted PC too, all to no avail.All started with trying to log into BB to get sync working again. Then hit max password attempts and some erroneous post on BB said you must allow Password File to reset and it won't delete all your files...WRONG. It sure does delete all and still no chance to reset the PW. So now I have a little brick.

If I click on show all pics I see them but I can't get them to the card no matter what I try. Move says "up" and that's it. I see memory card but can't reach it.
I am going to Europe for 2 weeks in about a week. I have no reason to need to call/text/use 3g on vacation at all. However, it would be nice to be able to use wifi at hotels, hotspots, etc. Is it possible to just flip my sim card so I couldn't receive any calls or anything but the phone be able to use wifi and not cost me any money?

When I get to the Device Selection Screen at the bottom it says "The device does not have enough space for your selections. Select fewer applications." The only things selected are default things. I've tried deselecting everything possible and I still get this message.

Everytime the device backs up it goes all they through and at the end it gives the error message: "There was an error backing up. There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the backup. Verify that the device is turned on and connected."
Wondering if any of u have gotten ur verizon 9650? If so have u noticed ur trackpad left side being higher than right? I ask becuz as we all may know the sprint 9650 has that. Doesn't bother me...nor do I think its defect.

I have a newly arisen problem where my BB Bold 9650 will synch addresses and other data but fails to complete the synch with calendar. The pop up message from Intellisync says "connector specific error" I have tried reloading the start up disc but no change.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just went from an old blackberry curve 8310 to the new 9900 and the calendar doesn't wake my phone anymore. In my old 8310 and in the new 9900 are set to sleep and wake a pre-definied times in my old phone if an event is scheduled in my calendar the phone will wake up and the calendar event will ring but on the new one the phone sleep untill the pre-defined time and ring for the calendar event that was scheduled earlier(ie my phone wake up at 7AM but one day i set something in my calendar at 6AM, the new phone doesnt wake untill 7 and ring for the missed appointment that was scheduled at 6AM. On my old 8310 it would wake at 6 and ring for that event) My question Is:Can I change an option somewhere that I can set so that the calendar behave like the same way as my old phone and wake my device and ring when an event is scheduled and the phone is in sleep (I set up the 9900 to close and wake at pre-determined time and I want the phone to wake early if there's something in my calendar).
