Anyone have an idea how to remove a Group Calendar from my Bold 9650? I'm not sure how it got created but I have my Outlook (2007) calendar and a Group Calendar in spite of the fact the I have no BB Messenger Groups?

I am trying to figure out how to create a group so I can just select the group when I am sending certain e-mail.I have created a group in the address book but the only way to select that group is when I am going to send MMS.I have tried selecting it for e-mail and it doesn't work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've read with interest the threads about CDMA signal strength being affected by the position of the SIM card, etc. I'm in a rural area with no GSM coverage, and any international travel would be something I could prepare for by installing the card. Does it make sense to remove the SIM card completely, in the interest of signal strength, and store it in a safe place? I'm in an area where testing would be difficult (spotty signal to begin with).

But one time I got a listserv email from Dave Adams, whom I do not know nor care about.Dave Adams not a contact, but my friend Dave Smith is.Now every time I begin composing an email to "Dav" the BB suggests Dave Adams first.How do I make this guy go away?
MS Outlook has a featured called "suggest names while completing the to: cc: bcc: fields..." where it does a similar thing. It will suggest any random name you've ever emailed, whether or not it's a contact. HOWEVER...you can delete that name right then and there.To me it seems similar to the predictive text input issue.I.e. one time computer was misspelled "comptuer" and now every time you type comp comptuer is suggested.It's not in the custom dictionary, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it.
How do I restore factory default settings and remove ALL personal information (i.e.: calendar, contacts, etc.) from my BB Bold 9650?

Hopefully I explain this well enough. I have the new 9650 from VZW. I have 3 email addresses, but I only wanted to see one calendar, so I went to options-advanced options-service book and deleted all of the CICALs so I only had one calendar. Which leads me to my question. I want to change the default email address that I am sending from. I have already gone to both options-advanced options-default services and messages-options-email settings- and changed them both to the email I want to use. When I go to send an email it still goes from the original default, the one I want to change.
Anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to access the calendar? If not, can I program one of the keyboard keys to access the calendar? I am already using both convenience keys.
View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter one week, I think I got my Bold under control, but something still bothers me:I have my calendar set up to display my agenda when I open it. When I want to enter a new event, I open the menu, navigate to Go to date, click on it, the slider with day, month, date, year appears, I set to the date I want to go to and press the pad. It takes me NOT to the date I chose, but to the closest date with an event on it.
Is it because I have it set to display agenda? I"m I using a wong command sequence? Is this program dumb?
9650 is my first BB ever. I'm generally happy with it.A few questions. Does anyone know how to get contacts, calender entries, memo's, tasks, etc into the phone through the use of a laptop? The CD-ROM that came with it wasn't recognized by my laptop for some reason so I just downloaded Desktop Manager from the BB website. I thought the manager would have the fields for this and I could just syncronize it with the laptop. To my disappointment this was not the case, apparently D.Manager is just a backup tool.I called Sprint and I was told I could use Gmail to enter contacts which is what I have been slowly doing. Oh yal, I don't have Microsoft Outlook either.Does anyone know of some software or something that can help me get ALL of the above mentioned item information into the phone thru my computer?Also, can anyone tell me why my battery runs out of a full charge rather quickly?? I have to charge it everyday and that's because I hardly make or receive calls. I think I use the phone (browser, messaging, etc) less than the average person. By the way I set my brightness to 50 and the back lighting time to 10 seconds which I think are pretty generous settings to help save battery energy. Yet the phone still needs a charge everyday. Reviews say it will last 4 to 5 days on standby. Not the case for me at all.Lastly, do any 9650 Sprint owners out there notice the end key (red) to be kinda faded?? Wondering if Igot a lemon in that respect, my red keys look faded and the white of the buttons (majority of keypad) lean towards a whitish-orangeish hue instead of what looks like the brighter whitish-blueish hue. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

The cursor switches appropriately when just navigating vs. hovering over a link, but the track pad will not regist any "clicks".Has anyone encountered this or know of the fix?

I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI send a lot of group texts and the groups vary quite a bit. I have not set up the various combinations of recipients as actual "groups" in iMessage. Let's say I sent a text to Tom, Dick & Harry. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom & Dick. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom, Dick, Harry & Jane. If I now go to send a new message to just Tom, his contact now appears fourth on list of contacts when I type "Tom" in the "to" line, behind:

It's even worse because in some instances, I've included names like Tom in over a dozen random texts involving many people. It's like iMessage is claiming I want each of those group texts to be saved as an actual "group" or at least saved in the results when I'm typing in someone's name for a new text. I DON'T want that. I may have sent a text once to Tom, Dick, Jane, Mary, Ted, Bob & Homer to meet me by the third base line at Cellular Field but obviously I'll only actually need to use that group once because everyone knows with a group that large, there's only a slim chance everyone will get out of the Cell alive anyway. I just want to send Tom a text, after he lost a bet and had to go to a White Sox game, and I don't want to have to scroll past all the random "Groups" he's been in just to find his contact.

How do i get a BBM group calendar to update to my outlook calendar? I have tried everything I could think of but cannot seem to make this append. I have the blackberry desktop software release June 7, 2011 bundle 34.

I purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?

Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.

How exactly do I get this calendar from my BB and onto a Desktop or into a printer?I have four active calendars, two personal email accounts, a Enterprise account (work) and then the BBM Group account. The BBM Group calendar is the only one that I cannot document in some form other than viewing it on the phone.System is 9700, AT&T, all versions are current as of 8Jun10.
