Asha 30/40 Series :: 5233 Notification Bug Appear When Insert Sinpm Card
Oct 23, 2011
whenever I put my Robi SIM in the phone. flashing notification in screen top-right corner says "SIM memory full". I deleted all contacts from SIM, but notification doesn go away.i request assistance.
i have nokia Asha202. there is no option to insert contact no. in sms. there is an option to send business card but it changes text msg. into Mms which is costly and need GPRS/EDGE service..
How to add more languages in my nokia 5233? I want to add Hindi language so that I can read SMS in hindi properly...I can't read the SMS in hindi because the letters are congested... etting on top of each other...
I can't see who is sending my messages - i simply get the phone number. My user guide doesnt seem to mention this although it is probably me not being able to find it.
after updating to the latest firmware 5.92 the notification LED between the call key and end key doesn't work anymore! this update seems more like downgrade rather than upgrade...
i bought my asha 305 20 days back, company provided with a 2gb memory card, as 2gb is not sufficent for me i bought kingstone 8gb micro sd card class 4, here the problems started,
1.i could not name the memory card it is having the name as "no name"
2.games given by nokia are not opening it is showing that they are only shortcuts.
My daughter is a proud owner of Nokia Asha 203 since x-mas. She asked me do buy a memory card and I took a 16 GB class 6 one (from Samsung). When I put the card in the phone, it does not recognize it:
- I have copied some MP3s and they are not detected. When I choose "Memory library details" from the media player, it says Memory card: (unknown)
- When I plug in an USB cable and choose mass storage mode, the phone says "Insert memory card to continue"
I have tried with an older card - 4 GB class 4 - and it works like charm, the phone detects and plays MP3s from it. I have tried putting the 16 GB MircoSD in another player (in fact, one cheap chnese player) - works just fine.
I have updated to the latest firmware: 20.52 from 27-09-12. Did not help. It seems to me that Asha 203 cannot handle 16GB MicroSDHC.
Yesterday I downloaded Nokia Suite for Windows, and upgraded my phone to V 10.16. After that, i saw in my telephone, that I can't open my memory card which called Rokas, and memory`s card`s item is lock.. Then i press to open it, my telephone want me password, but i havent got it...
there is a problem with my memory card so i was told to copy everything on to a computer and format it , then restore it. when i select to copy everything and paste it in my documents i get an error "cannot copy file. cannot read from the source file or disk". when i untick the box "read only" in the "sys" folder i get a lot of files that wont change.
SIM card has limited space for saving contacts. Can anyone who has the knowledge or experience, please advice how to save contacts into SD Card. From past experience of nokia phone breakdowns, it is best not to save contacts in the phone memory. When it breaks down, contacts are normally not recoverable
I recently purchased a nokia 1616 and I cannot get it started due to an incorrect position of the sim card within the phone. As written in the user guide, I insert the sim card into the sim card holder with the contact area facing down and the bevelled corner facing the bottom of the phone. But positioning the sim card that way means that there is too much space for the sim card to be fixed properly and it can easily shift from one side to the other. I have tried all posible positions within the folder, but whenever I turn on the phone the message occurs "insert sim card", as though the card is not in the right place.
My phone has about 90mb of space by what I can see. I have installed a microSD card and that has 4gigs.
My problem is that I can't seem to install anything for want of space. My pictures are on the card, my music is on the card. Even so my card has about 1.65GB of free space yet I can figure out how to move applications to the card. I installed the Suite today for Windows and one of the things it does it bug me to update programs like Maps... sounds good in theory but my phone filled up half way thru the installation process. how I can offload everything to the memory card?
my nokia 6303c has been a bit of an annoyance, it crashed 2wice so I had to repair it and the last time it requested password for my micro SD card which I forgot, or it just wont accept it. Because I'm pretty sure I've entered every possible combination. I read that you could use fexplorer if you have a sybian nokia but I don't. Can I format my card through PC suite? It's be good if there's a way I could save all the files on my SD card but if formatting is the only way then how do I do it? I tried chucking my SD card into adapter and into built in card reader on my PC but my PC doesn't read it, I think its cause it's faulty (the card reader) I got vista also. Which sucks. It doesn't read mmc full size too so its not the micro SD adapters fault.
I have been using my phone okay until recently, when I try to access items on my memory card via gallery/extras I get an error message " file format not supported" what could be the problem I cant even access pictures that I have taken using the phone, and it is still taking photos.I 'v tried switching on and off removing and returning the card but nothing!
I just bought Nokia Asha 302. I want to make default storage to memory card, so that all SMS, pictures, songs, contacts, applications and games can be stored on memory card and phone memory will be free for use all the time.
my nokia 5130 express music just cant detect the memory card.i have tried formatting the memory card, restarting the phone but nothing is working.i have tested the memory card and it is working on other phones.
I cann't find the updated maximum microSD memory card size for the Nokia 6303 Classic phone. All the spec's sites and documentation list 4GB as the maximum, but I'm using an 8GB card without any problems. (After downloading fireware update)
I would like to upgrade to a higher size either 16GB or better still 32GB. But before heading out and buying a card I would like to know if anyone has tried using these cards with this handset before successfully.
im unable to save the number either in phone memory or sim card directly from call history list in Nokia Asha 305 handset.. Due to this, i have to save the contact by dialing number myself in screen and save it to the contact list.
know if the Asha 302 auto keylock feature have the option to ask for a security code to unlock?( I am considering the Asha 302 to replace the C3-00 which does not have this option. My old ( low cost) 1616 has this security feature.)
I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
i recently saw an upgrade for asha 200 when i try to up grade it , the suit stops working?Join my movement to bring a change in NOKIA for good by supporting my [URL]
it possible to get a Series 40 (S40) handset, such as 6100 or 6700, to automatically sync over the air to cloud services such as Google? I know there are many ways to do this with S60 Symbian handsets (Mail for Exchange, various 3rd party apps) but not sure on the S40?
On my Asha 302 the bottom half of the keyboard is hardly lit up and difficult to see. Only the top 2 rows are appropriately lit up, the bottom 2 rows are almost dark. Is this a general design flaw or an issue with my phone.
Is it possible to use the contact sync with the Asha phones (302, 303, 200, 201, 300, etc.)? I am unable to see the option and under synchronisation and backup I am being asked to enter server details etc. which I don't have. On my other Nokia phones (S60 or S^3) they all have a Contact Sync functionality.
The phone only shows both contacts that are in the phone and the ones in SIM. I can't remove the SIM ones one by one... Do I have to put SIM card in another phone and erase contacts in SIM or is there any other way. I couldn't find it anywhere in options.
My phone doesn't stay in G3 connection for the most part of the day. There's neither G nor H on the screeb or there's only G with no white box. The connection stays on for some minutes at highest. Right now there's no letter on the screen. This is extrmely rustrating! I can't access the net or send whatsapp messages
