Asha 30/40 Series :: Disable Incoming Call Answering Via Touchscreen?
Nov 10, 2012On asha 300, incoming calls can be answered via the touchscreen. How do I disable this behaviour? When I dig out the phone from my pocket, I frequently accidentally drop the call because the phone does not require the swipe gesture before accepting touchscreen input for incoming calls! Is it possible to set the phone to always require the swipe gesture? If not, then is it possible to set it up so that only the physical buttons can answer/drop calls?

Nov 12, 2011I have a 6700 slide, and I have problems with the memory. The phone says the memory is full, even though I removed all the files I can, and cleared the cache in the internet browser. When i remove things the amount of memory doesn't change at all. Now I can't take photos, and I can't put any music in my phone at all, it's very frustrating!
I read that it could be a good idea to hard reset the phone to free up memory. But then I'll need to do a backup on my data, but how do I do that? It's basically the contacts i need to backup, since I sort of removed all the other files.... I'm using a Mac, so I can't use the PC suite program.

Feb 20, 2012I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function.When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.
This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).

Feb 24, 2012Since 2 or 3 days, when an SMS is sent to me, my 6303 does not ring anymore, nor displays any message, nor displays the envelope as it should do. Therefore I am not aware when I get an SMS. However, when I check the Inbox, the SMS is there. Note that incoming calls DO ring as defined in the selected profile. I checked my Outdoor profile (which is the active one), and the tone is ON for incoming SMSes. So I do not know what's wrong, except a firmware issue. Or should I reboot? (I did not try that) Are there other options to check?

Sep 27, 2011When I am calling or getting called my phone automatically turns up/down the volume till maximum. Means, when I try to turn down the volume a little it automatically keeps on turning down till minimum (and the way arround). Even if I don't change the volume it automatically turns up.
When the phone reaches maximum volume it always 'beeps'.

The remote telephone number shown in the displayer begun with +4831 instead of +31 (48 is my country code, and 31 is Dutch country code), so whole was too long.Maybe it is only small bug, but it makes hard to distinguish international calls from local calls. I had to count amount of digits in telephone number. Also when I want to recall on this number I had to write it manually.
