Just got a 5c, want to transfer my contacts from Android phone (HTC One V). Lots of info online, nothing works or explains how to get to stage 1. In my "People" icon on the HTC, the Export/Import option does not include the computer the phone is attached to - so how do I create a file that be transfer (.vcf I believe). I suspect if I could do this, I could send to iCloud and I'd be fine, but the instructions online - nowhere can I find any info on how to create the .vcf fileĀ
How to put my contacts from my Contacts book on Mac into the Htc One? I dont really need to sync anything because i rather drag an drop like i do with photos etc using AFT. Is there a way to do the same but with the vcards?
I recently got an LG V10 (I know, I know, I hated giving up Windows Phone but I had to), and the ATT store was unable to transfer my SIM contacts to my new phone. The SIM from my 1020 was larger than the SIM for the V10, and apparently it's not possible for them to use their software to transfer SIM contacts off of Windows phone because of software restrictions.
I'd really like to get my contacts from my old SIM card transferred to my new phone but I can't figure out how to do it. I connected my 1020 to my computer but I can't find the SIM contacts anywhere in the file directory.
My work have decided to renew our mobile contracts and rather than a 1020 I have to use a Galaxy S5. Ordinarily it wouldn't bother me but I have a lot of SMS on the phone since the 1020 first released.
So onto my question is there anyway I can transfer all of my SMS messages from the 1020 over to Android. My 1020 is staying with me as it's surplus to requirements and with it being a 64gb edition I'd like to use it as my personal phone.
So today i went back to stock htc sense software after running a test with different custom roms. Well now when i plug up to the usb android file transfer no longer opens. Im not sure why this is happening. Now i cant transfer photos an videos like i was once doing. Before kitkat 4.4.2 (at&t) it was working perfectly but now nothing opens up.
I just got my GS6, and I'm really sad because I'm reading that it's very hard to transfer SMS from windows to android (or any other) devices. There has to be a way though! I have a lumia 1020 and I am wondering if any ways to transfer SMS at all, even if it'll take a bit of extra work I don't mind.
I am switching from Blackberry to Android.how to transfer my Password Keeper to my new android phone? I have all of my data backed up on Blackberry Desktop manager, but I don't know if the .ipd file will transfer to Droid.
My nexus 5 worked perfectly with Android File Transfer, and suddenly, about a week ago it stopped working, nothing has changed in that week, except that AFT was behaving in an unexpected manner and I force quit it several times. The device shows charging but no connection. When I open AFT, it says plug in the Android device.
I did usual troubleshooting:
1) checked on the mac attached devices, my phone wasn't one of them 2) re-installed Android File Transfer, same issue 3) trying changing the settings on the device - turning off and on the USB debugging, changing type of connection with the computer from Media device to camera and back. 4) Restarted both devices and tried various cables, still nothing.
I have just bought an S5 and I am trying to transfer music over from my iMac. I've downloaded Android File Transfer, and deleted Kies (as I had read that I should do), but each time I try to connect the phone to the computer, I keep getting a message on the computer saying that the phone won't connect and I should try reconnecting or restarting. I've done both of these things, but I still haven't been able to connect successfully once.
My nexus 5 is caught in the bootloop on marshmallow and I dont know how to even begin to address the problem. Power button isn't stuck as far as I can tell and I can't get android file transfer to even detect it for obvious reasons. I presume I need to flash a new version of the OS to my phone but that has never been my area of expertise.
When I plug in my Droid Razr Maxx HD to my MacBook Pro, the Android File Transfer program doesn't detect the internal storage. If I switch to mass storage, the MicroSD is detected and mounted.
I use a Mac (OSX 10.5.8) at work and would like to be able to tranfer some files to my Xoom. I didn't try it until after the ICS update, but whenever I plug in my Xoom, the Android File Transfer program pops up, then crashes. I've tried restarting both the Xoom and my Mac multiple times. Does anybody have any ideas to make it work?
Never had KIES installed, my usb ports work fine, I tested them, my cable works fine. checked the Media Device (MTP) still doesn't work... deleted and re-installed AFT multiple times, i still get the "Could not connect to device. Try reconnecting or restarting your device"
I recently made the switch from iPhone to a galaxy S5. I have a macbook pro that of course has my music in iTunes. I recently tried downloading the android file transfer but whenever it would try to open on the mac it told me it could not connect to my device and to try to restart it or reconnect it. Nothing I did has made a difference. The computer just won't connect to the phone it seems. Both my S5 and mac have the latest versions possible updated so that's not an issue. I'd really like to get more of my music on my S5 other than what I put on there right when I got the phone using SmartSwitch.
I have a Droid Razr MAXX. USB Debugging is off; MTP is the USB setting. I've turned my phone off then on again. However, my Macbook Pro (currently running Lion) does not register the phone as a USB device, and AFT asks me to connect my phone with a USB cable to get started.
