I used to use a PC to sync my iPhone but recently but a MacBook. Now when I try to sync my iPhone with the MacBook it says my iPhone is synced with another iTunes Library and if I continue everything on my phone will be erased and synced with the library that has nothing in it. I have over 400 songs and don't want to lose them

Have an iPhone 4 wich is synced to an iMac, sync includes, iCal, contacts, notes, music, photo's, movies, music, etc... The works.Problem is, I am currently travelling with my Macbook Air, with no library or syncs, and need to add an additonal Movie onto my iPhone, I realise if I connect it to my macbook, and check *Manually manage.. It will wipe the photos, music, movies etc, I am obivously avoiding this at all costs.My iCloud only holds my iCal, and contact info, so that is not an option either. Is there a way to add to a Pre-synced iPhone from another itunes library??

it is possible to transfer your music library from a 1st gen Ipod touch to your itunes library on a Mac book pro. I have alomost 3000 songs as well as playlists on my Ipod and cant find anyway to transfer theses to my itunes library, meaning i can't add them to my 4s.

I recently pruchased my first MAC, a Macbook pro. I hooked up my iphone to sync all the music i have on it and the only thing that will transfer is some of my "purchased" songs. Thats about 150 of 650 songs. I have tried selecting "sync all music automatically" but it tells me by doing this i will replace my iphone library with the computer library meaning i will lose on 500 songs. I had a Dell PC before this and never had trouble. It crashed so i am unable to access itunes from that computer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a new MacBook and I transferred all of my music, movies, pics, ect over from my Vista machine. I plugged my iPhone in to the MacBook to resync the libary to the MacBook but, the iPhone doesnt show up in iTunes.
But I plug into my Vista machine it still is recognized in itunes. So far everything I found in the iphone and itunes forums pertains to problems with the iphone not being recognized by a windows based computer, its almost as if no one has any problems getting their mac to "see" the iphone. Just for info I an running Snow Leapord on my macbook, Vista on my HP PC, and 3.1.2 JB iPhone 3Gs.

The artists are still listed under "artists", but their albums and songs are gone. All the music is listed under "songs". How do I fix it back to the way it should be? Ive had this problem on my ipod before and just downloaded an app and redownloaded but it didnt work for my iphone. I tried everything. i went to my local store and they didnt know what to do they tried hard and soft shutting it off. they told me to call apple so i did and they told me to restire my iphone on my itunes and tried resetting all my settings and nothing works. My apps that i purchased have still remained un open and im getting very frustrated. I just spent $400 on this phone and its not working!
