IPhone 5s :: Messaging Needs To Be Enabled To Send MMS
Aug 27, 2014
i have a problem with mms in my iPhone 5s when m trying to send MMS then a message appears on the screen 'cannot send messageMMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message' but in settings there is no setting available to inable MMS in message settings
every time i try to send a contact card through text messaging the message never goes through. i have all of the message setting set properly, sms, mms, imessage, etc are all on. it there another setting that i am missing?
Just got the new Bold 9650. Should I have the firewall enabled, and the encryption enabled? What else should I do to make sure that my phone is secure?
I am trying to send a picture through text messaging to a Microsoft Windows cell phone, however, the Windows cell phone does not receive the picture. They are able to receive text messages but not any pictures.Â
When I use a prepaid phone card and try to send a message when I have insufficient credit the messaging service keeps trying to resend the message and ten or twenty pop-ups with "Insufficient credit" keeps coming, and I have to close them one by one.
The Messaging service should stop trying if it there is no credit.
I have had the device for about 3 months and I have never had problems sending emails before, however over the last 3 days when I try and send an email it just sits in my outbox and then after a while it says failed. I receive emails fine so this is baffling me. I've noticed a similar problem was addressed however that is specific to getting an error 500 message and I don't get that. I tried the work through anyway but it still didn't solve the issue.
On my L930 (10586), I was able to go to the Messaging app and send a text to someone via Skype. That is, at the top right, there was a drop-down to select "SIM" or "Skype".
Now, it just says "SIM Text" and "No SIM", which I'm guessing means the missing SIM 2.
Is this another Dual-SIM thing (like VMM appears to not work with Dual-SIM phones) or am I doing sing wrong?
Both my 1020 and my gf's 1520 won't send pictures through messaging sharing, on our new att service. Idk if this is phone related or service related, It just says can't send message, try again.
When I take pictures on my Lumia 1520 they come out crystal clear and with great quality. But as soon as I try to send the picture via text messaging to friends or family the pictures are distorted and/ or very small. I've looked through my settings to see if I could simply change the picture settings,
Now that I have the Atrix, my little backflip just sits at home with no sim card, but I can still access anything market, web, apps because it still connects to my wifi. The question is: what app can I get on my backflip (that has no phone number attached to it) so my daughter can text message anyone. is there an app that will send a message from the backflip to my carrier's messaging.I know I can get any of the outside messaging services, just not sure if any will work with regular SMS messages.
I am trying to use Nokia Messaging (v10.2.0.4) on a 5800 (v50.0.005). I set up an IMAP mailbox to sync. My subscription with the GSM operator includes the Nokia Messaging service.I can download messages if I tap send/receive, but automatic sync does not work.If I set the sync time to Push Mail, I can see a green ring on the screen. I assume it means there is a live connection. But messages do not arrive. If I set the sync time to 15 minutes, the ring becomes grey and crossed. Every 15 minutes it changes to green and rotates. I assume it means new messages are downloaded. But they are not.
Again, if I tap Send/receive, new messages arrive.I also tried to configure a Gmail mailbox. The situation is the same. Manual send/receive works, automatic sync does not.How could I get automatic sync to work?
I just bought a lumia 950XL dual-sim from Microsoft, and it is a great phone. However, I am having a lot of issues with the messaging app right now. It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.
When replying to a text message that has multiple recipients, how do you select to reply to only the person who sent it or just one other person? The only option I see is to "Reply To All"?
My Device Carrier: AT&T Model and OS: Blackberry Bold OS v 4.6
The Problem: Sometime in the past couple of days I stopped receiving SMS text messages properly. Though I was able to send and receive text messages as recently as Monday (the 1st, and this writing is on the 3rd of February) I find I am unable to receive them at present. This problem is complicated by a few tests I have done. With my phone right in front of me and another phone in my hand, I have sent a text message to my phone (from the other phone) and witnessed my phone make the loading sign in the upper right-hand corner (the little double-arrow that pops up when one is receiving data). No new message appears in my joint inbox and no "new message" icon pops up on my home screen. When I try to select the SMS inbox folder in the 'Select Folder' option in the menu in my messaging application, absolutely nothing happens.
I am also encountering oddities when I send SMS messages - though I am able to send them. When I complete an SMS text message and select 'Send', the message, though it is sending, may sometimes stay up on the screen as though I did not send it. When I select 'Send' again, it does disappear from the screen but does not display it sending in my inbox (it normally shows the message as sending, it receives a checkmark when sent, and then it disappears; as I set it up to). I can, however, access the SMS Outbox folder.
Finally, though I think this is unrelated, when my phone starts up from having the battery removed - which I did try - I receive a message stating "Uncaught exception:java.lang.NullPointerException". The first time I received this message was upon waking up one morning, as though it had occurred sometime during the night, and I dismissed it as unimportant as it did not seem to mess with the functioning of my Blackberry.
I do not have any backups to restore my phone to, as I just updated my computer to Windows 7 and cleared the majority of the hard drive in doing so. Also, I just, today, updated my phone to the latest version of all my applications.
I have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.
Voice has enabled itself on iphone 4s and also locking up the screen so can not get into settings to take off voice and unlock screen but unable to do so, anyone able to
I purchased an iPhone 3GS with an Optus Pre-Paid deal (with 3G included) many years ago. My Optus contract finished and terminated. I started a new business contract with my fathers company Telstra Plan with a new non-3G enabled plan. I recieved a new simcard and everything worked (other than 3G ofcoarce).
The Telstra Business Plan has been completed and I have re-entered a new contract period with Telstra again. But this time I have organised 3G to be enabled. The plan has commenced but 3G doesn't actually work. I have unlocked my IMEI number through Telstra and I was told to Sync my iPhone. I completed the sync and I still don't have any 3G capability! Can anyone recommend a way of getting the service enabled properly? I have tried the Telstra website to send me the settings (it also didn't work).
Sorry if this has been posted. I understand that in order to tether, you are supposed to get a tethering plan-as it is with other phones. However, will the tethering option on the phone not be enabled unless I pay for a plan? ie: will I see the option to tether in settings or will I have to enroll in a plan to have AT&T push a new carrier file to me?
The 3G network function on my iPhone 4S enabled itself AUTOMATICALLY after I had disabled it through "Settings", "General" and "Network". How may I set NOT TO USE 3G network permanently?
I have enabled Speak to Text, however I cannot switch it off? How can I turn off Speak to Text when I cant scroll through the general settings, to access other options?
Our wireless at work has a mac table setup with unique keys so anytime someone forgets/otherwise screws up their wifi connection they come to have it reset... Everytime I make a comment about how they are really only draining their battery by leaving wifi enabled 24/7 yet they continue to do it..
SO - what do you use WiFi for?
I know there are some (very, very few) apps that require a wifi connection.. Facetime requires WiFi but at this point it's more of a novelty than anything else.. Throughput is a little better but not enough to justify the additional battery drain.. The hotspot app (as soon as the IP4 jailbreak is released..) Checking mail/browsing the net in an area with no at&t service..
That is all that comes to mind.. I think they just like to enable it because they can, but let me know if I'm missing anything?
