Apr 8, 2010I'm seeing a strange issue with all of our Verizon 9650's (Bold) that are members of our BES. A user receives an SMS message while the device is locked. The user then unlocks the device and <content protection is enabled> is displayed instead of the actual text of the SMS message. If the user closes the SMS and then relaunches it the message is displayed properly. Has anyone else seen this issue? Sounds almost like a software bug...

Jun 9, 2010I've had the phone for about a week and I absolutely love it except that at seemingly random moments my phone will block the viewing of any and all of my SMS messages saying "Content protection is enabled". It will show up at the beginning of newly received messages and even in the middle of real-time conversations between someone else and I and then I have to wait for the message to "go away" so I can read what the response was and continue the conversation. Is it something I'm doing? A default phone feature? Is anyone else experiencing this issue or at least know how to solve it?

Jun 3, 2012I purchased an iPhone 3GS with an Optus Pre-Paid deal (with 3G included) many years ago. My Optus contract finished and terminated. I started a new business contract with my fathers company Telstra Plan with a new non-3G enabled plan. I recieved a new simcard and everything worked (other than 3G ofcoarce).
The Telstra Business Plan has been completed and I have re-entered a new contract period with Telstra again. But this time I have organised 3G to be enabled. The plan has commenced but 3G doesn't actually work. I have unlocked my IMEI number through Telstra and I was told to Sync my iPhone. I completed the sync and I still don't have any 3G capability! Can anyone recommend a way of getting the service enabled properly? I have tried the Telstra website to send me the settings (it also didn't work).

Jul 29, 2010Our wireless at work has a mac table setup with unique keys so anytime someone forgets/otherwise screws up their wifi connection they come to have it reset... Everytime I make a comment about how they are really only draining their battery by leaving wifi enabled 24/7 yet they continue to do it..
SO - what do you use WiFi for?
I know there are some (very, very few) apps that require a wifi connection..
Facetime requires WiFi but at this point it's more of a novelty than anything else..
Throughput is a little better but not enough to justify the additional battery drain..
The hotspot app (as soon as the IP4 jailbreak is released..)
Checking mail/browsing the net in an area with no at&t service..
That is all that comes to mind.. I think they just like to enable it because they can, but let me know if I'm missing anything?

We have done everything in the post stating that you need to run the commands to set an accepted domain and make sure there are no spaces in the domain name. May 14, 2012I can't seem to send my own content mp3 files (home made) in a text message to people. Also, getting these mp3's into my phone seems to be more of a headache than it should be. I would like to be able to just have a "sync folder" I could synce my home made mp's to like you can for photos or voice notes or ringtones but for my mp3's.. But no, I have to go through iTunes and it just makes it a hassle and quite frankly puts my phone and apple in more control of MY OWN CONTENT than they need to be. Also, once my own content mp3's are in my phone, its like I have no control over them. They go to this place where my phone has all the control, I can't delete them directly from my phone, I can't email or text them to people...All the time from other people without iPhones I get mp3 files of funny skits, or jokes, etc.. Or more importantly our own content made songs. But I can't seem to do that with my iPhone. Can someone explain to me how I can ? Or explain to me why Apple has so much control over my own content if it is in a mp3 format on my iPhone ?
