I got my iphone 5s for 7months already but i am having low volume issue which I didn't have when I first got this phone. I tried all I can. it is working well though when I plug my headset but my speaker doesn't work as fine.
View 1 RepliesMy external speaker doesn't work for notifications or ipod audio. It only vibrates no matter what type of notification sound is selected. Incoming calls come through the speaker ok. I cannot control the volume with the side volume buttons unless I am in the Settings>Sounds screen and if I move the volume on the touch screen first. Of course the mute button on the side upper left above the voume controls is not on. Also, the setting under Settings>Sounds>"Change with Buttons" is "ON". I have reset the iPhone and the nothing has changed. I know the volume buttons work because when I plug the earphones in, it will control the volume up or down.it is a software issue or setting.

For some reason my speakers volume are extremely low where the lower speaker doesn't function at all. Headphone jack not plugged in, did not go into or even near water either. Tried shaking and blowing the jack, still max volume is extremely low.

I was verry happy with it for a few hours , until i realised that i don`t hear my phone when it rings even if it was on maximum sound lvl. After a while , i realised that the sound is ok for like a split secound , after that it just randomly lowers with about 2-3 levels for everything , ringtones , music , videos etc. I tried all settings setups nothing is improving.

One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

All media on the phone won't play sounds through the built in speakers but when I plug in the earphones I can hear it. When I connect the phone to the pc and it sync to iTunes and disconnect the sound comes back but after a while it just goes again. The Os is up to date.

Now, when I try to play music out of the regular speakers, no sound comes out and it says that I have 2 options: iPhone, or iPhone speaker. I then tried both settings, none of which that worked. I tried it again on my ihome, with both settings and it still didn't work. I unplugged it and tried it again, and 1 second of my song played and then stopped.
