The speakers on my 4s suddenly stopped working. The phone no longer rings, speaker-phone won't work, it won't play music, etc. The headphones still work, but not the sound on the phone itself.

after running i disconnected my iphone headset. since then my iphone speakers have stopped working. i can still listen to music using headphones and the phone ringer still works but the speakers are silent. when i adjust the volume it indicates it is in "headphone" mode.

Ok do recently my iPhone speakers haven't been working. They work when you call but when you wanna listen to music it doesn't work. I went to apple and the guy told me the water sensor was activated something like that...he didn't tell me what exactly was wrong with my phone, he told me I could buy a new iPhone for $149. I want to know for anybody who has drop there phone in water what was broken was it the audio jack or the speaker system??? Don't tell my to get to the apple store and ask them for the a new phone ive done it twice and they won't give a new phone because I don't have the apple care warranty. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4S was dropped in some ranch dressing with the microphone & external speaker part getting the worst of it! I tried making a phone call to a friend of mine and she couldn't hear me. She said that all she heard was clicking noises. (I talked to her later in person!) I also tried playing music through the external speaker and with the volume on as high as it can go, you can hardly hear the music from the speaker. Weird thing is that I sent a friend of mine a Hey Tell message and he said that he heard me crystal clear!! I set my phone in rice overnight and nothing helped so far. Not sure what else to do!! I don't have a warranty on my phone!

I have the phone 3 weeks ago.
1... times when I call the sound of tone is sharp and gives a very annoying vibration , whether in normal speaker.
2... the lower speaker depends on the day it works or not even playing the same songs.
i bought a nokia lumia 920 yesterday evening and i am still in the process of discovering the phone. sometime this morning the speakers stopped working completly, there is a similar thread and it calls for a phone restart which i did but still i am not able to hear the audio thru speakers. i tried to stream music, play Internet vidoes, record a video and play it back, put an alarm etc but nothing works.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe speakers on my Blackberry 8330 appear not to be working. Even if I have the volume type set as loud it will just use vibrate when calls come in. I took out the battery and put it back in and it's still not working. If I try to play a song or ring tone, it will show it playing but I'll hear nothing, however I can still hear people talk during calls. I don't think this is caused by damage, my phone is about 8 months old and I've dropped it a few times (the worst probably from table height) but I wouldn't consider those serious falls.I need to know if this is something i can fix myself or if I have to mail in my phone to get it repaired.

My phone rings but when I answer the call the phone is silent. I cannot hear the person calling and they cannot hear me. The phone working properly and then suddenly stopped. The speaker works for music and the mic works to record. All the alerts for messages still work.

I recently purchased a used iPhone 5 for cheap. I replaced the battery and it worked right away. It took several hours for the phone to charge completely and after I unplugged it, it drained very fast. The phone was still tied to the previous owner's account, so I wondered if it was draining fast because it was searching for something via my wi-fi. I charged it again before I went to bed, but unplugged it so I could charge my iPad overnight. When I woke up the next morning, it was under 20%. I went to work and got a hold of the previous owner to get her to remove the phone from her iCloud account. I called my girlfriend and asked her to plug in the phone so that it was on when she removed it. When I got home from work, the phone wasn't working. The screen didn't light up and there was no sign that it worked at all. I left it plugged in for the next 24 hours and it still didn't work. Holding the home and sleep/wake buttons do nothing. My used iPhone is a metal and glass brick. Found out from the previous owner that these were the exact symptoms she had before it stopped working and the battery needed to be replaced.

3G has stopped working on my launch day iPhone 4. Edge works sometimes. The sim card works fine in my 3GS. Anyone heard of this problem before? Done a full restore with no joy(and another problem, iTunes wiped my iPhone 4 back up when I just choose to call my restore iPhone 'iPhone' to test it out - is my back up lost forever? I'm assuming if I take it back to the Apple store at the weekend, if they have stock, they'll have to give me a brand new replacement? It's just over a week old, so I'd want one in a sealed box!
