IPhone 5c :: Cannot Clear Location History In Reminders App
Dec 8, 2014
After setting location based reminders the locations that I used for the reminders stay in the drop down box on the map/location page. I have 10 locations stored there and I only used the app twice. Some of the location data I didn't even enter. At some point I will have hundreds of these past reminder locations stored up which will make the app difficult to use. I would like to know how to delete the location history to prevent a useless list from forming.Â
How do I get reminder locations to work? I have two location reminders one for leaving and one for arriving, none of them have worked yet. Background app refresh in settings has no reminder icon to toggle on or off but my Location triangle is on. What can I do?
i've never got to make location based reminders to work on my iPhone 5s on iOS 8. It did not work either on iOS 7 and ir surely didn't on my old iOS6 iPhone 4. i have everything turned on under location services ..
Basically chrome as you all know came uninstalled on my device, meaning that without root, I cant uninstall it. In chrome, If I navigate to the chrome history page, there is a button at the bottom which says "Clear Browsing Data...". If I click on that and tick all the checkboxes, upon clicking clean, it appears to work. chrome://cache is empty.
However, if I then navigate back to history, all my websites are still listed, the history hasn't been removed. I have tried uninstalling the updates and it happens both in V35 &V36 of the chrome browser. The only way I have found to remove the history is to go to the app info in the settings app and click clear cache.
I recently updated my phone and now I cannot clear my browser history! I have tried going to my settings/clear cache/history/cookies/and form data and nothing!
Can anyone tell me if you can clear Google's search history, when I type into the search bar, a drop down appears with previous search queries. I have set my phone history so as not to save visited web pages. I'm due an upgrade and plan to pass on my phone so would like to clear all Google search data.
When I tap the google search bar on my nexus 5 homescreen I get a large white drop down with all my recent searches. Is there a way to clear this history? I have already logged into google.com/history and cleared all history on that site, but it still shows on that drop down.
The ONLY way I am able to get rid of them is by manually holding down EACH result and tapping "remove from search history". Is there a clear all option somewhere?
I have problems clearing Windows Live Messenger (WLM) login history on Blackberry Bold. It seem to be "logged" down and remembers all the hotmail/live live messengers logins. Wonder if there is a way or a new update function on "Clear History" or "Forget Me" for Blackberry WLM?
When I try to clear the browser history the program crashes. I have tried a couple of apps from the Market but neither of them have worked.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to locate the history cache in the filing system.
P.S. I can delete history links one at a time. Is it just that I have allowed the cache to get too large before trying to delete it - I'm not sure I have ever cleared it before!
First of all, I know a lot of people who only has Location on all the time just for their Weather widgets and apps to refresh your weather information, you don't need your Actual Location to have that, you can simply turn that off on the weather app or widget and enter your city or cities manually, it will give you the same information the only difference is that it will not ping your location all the time to do it.
I have tested all settings and I have found that the one that does the job while preserve the battery life the most is the Wifi and Cell signal only option, in other phones it's called Power Saving Mode. I've been using this option all the time for the past couple of months and it really uses very low battery, barely noticeable, this way I keep my location on to be able to use the locate device and other location services. I only change to high accuracy (GPS, WIFi and Cell) for my daily 5k runs or if I need to use Google maps or any other Maps apps. There are people who use GPS only but I've noticed that it increases (obviously) the gpsd service in my battery stats and it drains battery a lot more than Power saving Mode.
Location History is not needed for the Location Services to work, this is just a Google Service to enable other features. Take a look at this information. Google’s Location History is Still Recording Your Every Move.
Until mid April, when we had 2 separate options, Location reporting and Location History, I had location history on but Reporting off as it was besides the Screen, the number 1 battery drainer on Android, and I frankly didn't want to be "reporting" Google all my moves, but now that they incorporated both into just one setting, I just prefer to turn it off. Since updated to Google Play Services 7.xxx I just realized this. As screenshot attached, my device shows up as 2 devices. How to remove device at the bottom?
Had already dig in on Google Dashboard, delete here and there, no luck.
I've been tempted to turn off location history on my phone for various reasons (privacy, battery, etc.), but it says that it will affect Google Now. I'm not willing to lose Google Now, so I'm wondering: What effect on Google Now will I see if I turn off Location History?
I have noticed that the searching location comes on and stays on even when location is turned off the only way I can stop is by turning location on then back of again. How do I fix that?
I just converted to iCloud and am using the Reminders feature on my iCal. I'm trying to find them - the remiders - on my iPhone, but can't. I have Lion on my Mac and iOS 5 on my iPhone.
I've read many, many references about how to USE the Reminders app, but I can't even find it. Where is it? Is it an iOS-included app or do I have to download it?
