IPhone 5 :: Randomly Deleted All Apps After It Ran Out Of Battery
Jun 5, 2014
My iPhone 5 randomly deleted every app after it ran out of battery - but when I check the storage it only has 212mb available... What's going on?! Where did my apps go? I can't even redownload as the phone flags up there's no available storage space!
I bought an iPhone 4s in November 2013. The phone is through Sprint. (didn't know if that made a difference or not.) In the past 7 months the phones apps have been opening & shutting right down, the app might stay on for 2 minutes if you're lucky. It started out with my Facebook app shutting down, then it progressed to other apps & the repeated random shutdowns have been getting worse. The phone itself overheats without even being plugged into the charger. The Safari is now beginning to close randomly. I called my carrier & they said that they could run a diagnostics test on my phone to see what's making it do what it's doing. Since the phone has been shutting down & randomly shutting apps off for over 7 months, they've ruled out the option of it being a bad software through Apple.
For the past 2 days ive gone crazy over this! When i click the home button twice, i can see a few old messages but when i click on it, it wont lead me to them. So im guessing its in my phone still just not in messages.I need those texts back!
Every few nights or so I will get text messages from random numbers but then i realize it is actually someone in my contacts. I will go into my contacts and there will be absolutely nothing there. They randomly come back a few hours or days later but I am trying to figure out how to get this to stop in general.
I have an iphone 4 which is completely updated but daily i have an issue of it deleting some of my contacts from the contacts list. Why is this happening with some of the contacts?
My iPhone apps randomly closing by themselves, even when i am typing an SMS or using games or skype what ever it is closing automatically. Just 1 month before i bought my i phone 4s.
So all my pictures randomly deleted from my phone. I went to check my gallery and realized all my pics were deleted. All I did was take one picture, and went to check my gallery, and all my pics were gone. Not too happy, but good thing I save my pics on Google Drive.
I am using iPhone 4s and 5.1.1, I dont run "jailbreaks" or ever jailbreaked my phone, its 2 days old. I did resolve some apps when all of downloaded apps can't be open like facebook when tapping miliseconds then closes, I resolved by reinstalling, but I face odd automatically closing itself the app angrybirds, while playing it just closes itself, any ideas? I havent reinstall it or anything yet, I have a clean account with precise detail as an apple id, cant think of any cause. does anyone have the same exact problem?
This started about a week ago and has gotten so bad that it takes 6-7 hours to recharge from 30% battery life with minimal use while plugged in. There are no apps running from what I can see.Â
I let a friends little brother play with my phone on a spongebob app and when i came to check up on him, he deleted a bunch of my apps. I know that i can redownload them for free. The thing is that I don't remember the names of these apps that he deleted. Is there anyway I can see what apps he deleted.
I have formatted my pc, downloaded itunes and when I want to sync to itunes, I get a message that my current apps on the iphone 4 will be deleted as it is not in the library, how do I sync without losing my apps?
I haven't noticed this before when I upgraded an OS or changed iPhones - but perhaps someone else can confirm..I haven't emptied my trash (on a mac) since I upgraded to the iPhone 4. I just went to empty it and saw a bunch of apps (.ipa) in there. Now I checked and they all still seem to also be in the correct iTunes directory as well - so ultimately not worries. But just wondered how/why some (not all) apps wound up in the trash.
I have the Iphone 4 (not the 4s) and never had any problems. I share an ICloud account with my parents and sister, and now my iphone is saying I have no storage. I deleted all my pictures and a majority of my apps and it still won't let me take any pictures, purchase any apps, or update my phone because I have no storage.
I accidentallly deleted a couple of Apps (e.g. Delta, Redbox) from my Desktop on Iphone. How do I recover them. Whenever I tried to re-install, the app said Installed.
I accidentally erased and deleted all data from my iphone. In the process all the built in apps dissapeard so I now have a blank homescreen. Is there a way I can restore/download the built in apps via itunes?
I got my iPhone 4s last September and since then I've updated the firmware twice hoping that would solve the problem but it didn't. When I hold an app to delete it, it does start to wriggle immediately but when I press the delete button it takes more than 15 seconds for the are you sure message to pop up. I don't normally delete apps so I keep forgetting that that bug is there but when I do delete apps its when I urgently need space to take a video or something so when it takes me over ten minutes to just delete a couple of apps and yes it doesn't happen for just one delete it happens for each delete. Ever since I upgraded to 5.1.1 the freeze time decreased a bit to 15-30 seconds it used to be longer but I could really use a permenant fix for this.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Been happening since first use
My M9 was locked and charging while I was in the shower. When I got out I noticed my phone was unlocked and awake. When I checked it Google Maps was open. I didn't touch it at all. I've noticed a couple of times when I've taken it out of my pocket that random apps would be open. I just assumed that I didn't lock it when I pocketed it.
I'll be using my phone, when suddenly a pop up will say "unfortunately [random app] has stopped" Most of these are default apps that I've almost never used before.
I have an issue with my S5. I updated from KitKat to Lollipop 5 days ago. After reading some of the horror stories associated with Lollipop and battery life, lag, phone performance, etc., I didn't waste any time before doing a full factory data reset. I am pretty sure the FDR worked, since I have had absolutely no problems with battery life, lag, or my phone running hot.
However, I have this weird issue where apps will randomly start on their own. Two examples, the first is that I opened my recent apps and noticed a whole bunch of apps in there that I had 100% most certainly not opened at any time since clearing my recent apps. The second example occurred this morning. I did a 10 minute walk to work and when I got to my office, I noticed that Rocket Music Player had opened and was playing my music. I highly doubt this happened due to any physical touch because not only would the power or home button have had to be pushed, but then the screen would have had to be swiped, the Rocket Player opened, and a song clicked on to start playing. I highly doubt this all occurred in my pocket.
iPhone 5 not giving back my storage space even when I have deleted music and apps still says 0 bytes available also the phone will not connect to iTunes. What it could be also some of my apps are not loading...
i have been using Nokia 5230 for about a month and noticed something weird.sometime the battery is hot sometime is not.every night i put my 5230 on "offline", set alarm then put it under Pillow on my head. sometime in the morning the cellphone back will be verry hot. remove case, touch battery, and it is hot.
but sometime its just warm.also when using constant internet connection for my IMAP email, the battery also got hot. not that burning hot but it is a lot hotter than my previous phone ( Symbian 9 UIQ3, SonyEricsson M600i)also if i use 3G/3,5G instead of the normal GSM/EDGE, the phone become very hot if used for call. or for internet.
is this normal for nokia phones? i really dont want to leave my phone to nokia customer care. it will be took very long time and i need my phone with me everyday. and my old SonyEricsson M600i also already broken.
Over the last couple days, my phone will randomly pretend it has ran out of battery at about 55% on the battery indicator.  It seems to be getting stuck in some boot problem after it shuts down where,  after turning it on, it decides to immediatly shut down. To get out of this annoying problem, I have to connect my phone to the charger where it says it has 0%.  The battery life seems to last about 2 hours to 3 hours. And I have tried removing SIM and SD card, but it doesn't seem to matter.
