Last night, suddenly my keyboard, trackpad and all my external buttons no longer work. Only my touch screen works, but no back button, a BlackBerry is not very useful. It may be software, but I updated yesterday the operating system. But I find it strange that all the external buttons do not work together. What could be the problem. If I have to go to the workshop, I want to know as much as possible.BlackBerry 9800
I read that the update would "improve the keyboard functionality". Well I updated this morning and my keyboard no longer vibrates when I touch a key, or if it does it is barely noticeable. Is this intentional? Was a setting changed/re-set due to the update? Is there a way to control the amount of vibration when you push a letter? I am missing the space bar constantly because it doesn't vibrate.
I am trying tp change my signal meter from bars to db and iv done this before. But now I can't seem to bring up the vkeyboard on the home screen to allow me to enter the code. All the instructions say to open the menu and select "show VK" but that's not showing in the menu. Also, I mapped it to a side key and it brings it up everywhere BUT the home screen. Did rim disable this ability?
It used to, but no longer can for whatever reason. I lost all my contact info, but have since synced and brought them all back in. I have 4s/5.1. The relationship field is no longer avail when editing contacts. If I ask siri, it will say sorry.
The ringtones I have assigned to several of my contacts no longer work when the people call me. The tones are in my itunes and stored on the iphone, but will the only tone working for the contacts is the default tone. They worked fine until a few weeks ago, and I have done all sorts of trouble shooting but nothing has worked. Apple said the files for my custom tones were corrupt and I had to fix that which I did. However, even if I assign a regular tone i.e. Marimba, it still will not ring if the default is another tone.
All my contacts disappeared, they arent in my contacts. The ones left in my favourites and in my messages only display the numbers. I have tried a lot of things and nothing has worked. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, almost at the point of ditching apple. (I have a 4s)
My iphone will no longer synch new contacts in my Address Book on my Mac. It was working fine and then I loaded too much audio content and ran out of memory so I think it could not synch properly without memory available. I've since deleted all my audio and have plenty of space yet new contacts in Address Book do not show up on my iPhone even though the synch process appears to complete.
I recently updated my 5800's firmware and I a now find that the FULL page qwerty keyboard is no longer an option for inputting text. Can anyone confirm this? Can I go back to the old firmware? I am visually impaired the full page keyboard was very useful.
After iOS 5 and this whole iCloud business, my contacts on my iPhone have become a mess... I can no longer add a contact on my phone and expect it to be added to my Address Book automatically after the next sync, and the whole 'Groups' thing confuses the crap out of me. I have my Yahoo account linked, but now I don't actually want anything to do with Yahoo (or Google) when it comes to my contacts: all I want is contacts on my phone and on my Mac, nothing else. I'll get iCloud up and running once I upgrade to Mountain Lion, but not bef?
I have had my iPhone 5C for a month now and when I first had it I was able to add phone contacts. Now when I try, the cursor flashes ready for the information but the onscreen keyboard won't come up to enable me to type any information. I have checked all the settings I can think of in case I have switched something off by mistake but have been unable to get any further. I only have 109 numbers in my phone so it should be able to take more, or is there a restriction?
This is a company iPhone. It stated passcode is expired; I changed it. Now new passcode comes up invalid and locks phone for longer and longer periods.
My very old apple id pops up for updates on apps that I originally downloaded long ago. That apple id is no longer valid, therefore I cant do the update.
Blackberry bold 9900. Using the desktop software. Just did some updates. Now synching my address book to Yahoo Contacts is no longer an option. The only option is Windows Contacts. Only option for Tasks is iCalendar.
My verizon iphone4 just starting acting up were the voice control command pops up for no reason. I've turn off and on my phone a few times and it has not solved the problem.
I'm done banging my head against a wall and have searched and searched on how to fix this, as although I'm a newbie to this site, I feel like I can generally navigate myself around my BB to fix issues here and there. This one, I cannot, for the life of me! Here's the situation: I had to wipe my entire BB Bold the other day. I did that successful, reloaded all my settings/applications and all was well and good, including syncing my Calendar and Contacts. I realized that my contacts were double, triple and sometimes quadropled during the syncing process, thus having the duplicates on both my device and Outlook. Not to mention, totally reconfigured my "File As" in my Outlook - but that's another topic. Issue at hand, after turning the Wireless Syncronization OFF, checking my Default services and following any advice here on the forums. I now can't get ANY of my contacts to sync from Outlook to my device. Except 2 random contacts. When I go to sync, it registers the address book and asks if I want to delete 8XX contacts from Outlook to Device, which I DON't!Anyway, long winded.
When syncing my google contacts they suddenly do not appear. If i run diagnostic software it shows me 374 contacts have been found but no problems. At times when i select contacts it shows me the names but when i select the contact there is no information that comes up, it is just white. I go back and the contact names appear. I have tried removing my google account and readding, restarting and nothing seems to work. I can't really pinpoint to when it begun, it was intermittent then today I came home, looked at my phone and had a sync error message. The errors message seemed to indicate it was a result of google services update that must have run... Â In additio to this If i go to messages the contact names appears aligned to a message, but if i dial a number manually it doesn't show me the contact name. If i recieve a call it also doesn't show me the name, only the number. I know 200% the contact is stored in google though. Â When looking at the google sync options it all looks normal. Last synced is consistent with the rest. Doesn't matter if the contact is drawn from google, facebook, linked in or any other app it does not appear in the contacts list and if it does intermittently accessing the contact contains no information. It doesn't seem to be a google problem but rather a phone problem considering it is happening with all the contacts syned with out discriminating on application.
I guess I am talking about gingerbread, though I don't know, but I had a major software update for my Droid 2 Global last week and am still figuring out the differences. Although initially I thought it was good, here are some annoying ones: While entering info in different apps (texting, email, color notes) after typing only a bit, it stops accepting anymore keystrokes and says has separated from the app.No longer able to link or unlink contacts.Unfortunately, I am still discovering contacts that are linked. In case it matters, Verizon is my carrier.I wasted much time trying to send an email to Verizon support and to post on Verizon forum.
My iPhone 4 pops up a message this device not supported by iPhone other iPhones have been hooked up to the same devices and work but mine will not I have the latest iOS 5.1 update I have cleaned the docking port I have reset my setings turned off the Devices and phone then turned back on and I still get the same pop up
Trying to update iTunes on iPhone 4s. Went to site, selected download, says thank you. Plug phone into computer and pops up cannot be used phone requires 10.5 blah blah blah. What m I doing wrong?
I'm running 6.0.1, rooted, xposed. When trying to change my profile picture or add a picture to any contacts, there is no longer an "apply" button. I can crop and everything like normal but once I'm finished I cannot select apply. I've tried uninstalling xposed with no luck.
I have a Verizon Samsung S5 running Android 5.0, and use Microsoft Exchange Active Sync to synchronize my global address book, calendar, and email at my work.
Previously, I was able to find contacts in my global address book who were not contacts in my phone by just searching their name. If a contact was not a contact on my phone, the app would briefly say "searching on <domain>", before pulling up all contacts in my corporate address book that matched the search criteria
Now, I can only see contacts for whom I have a contact in Outlook, gmail etc versus everyone in my corporate library.
I AM able to see all contacts in my corporate library using an app called "Corporate Address Book", but this lacks many of the slick features (pictures, swipe to text) that "Contacts" has. This tells me that the problem isn't with the global address list itself, but rather with the app.
So far I have tried: *Double-checking all of my sync settings in the account *Double-checking that I am showing all contacts (for testing, I tried just showing contacts from my exchange account, that didn't work) *Removing the exchange account, re-adding it *Factory re-setting the phone *Clearing all certificates, reloading them
Note that immediately after I factory reset my phone, the contact app briefly behaved as expected. However, while my phone was auto-downloading my apps, it quickly stopped again.
This leads me to believe that it may be caused by a particular combination of apps/settings on my phone versus a problem with Android 5/S5s in particular.
my bb 8520 no longer allows me to add a new contact or edit existing contacts. It doesn't even open when I click on the contact shortcut. Even did a virus scan but no viruses were detected.
I am having trouble getting apps on my phone. Everytime I click install app the screen to sign up for iTunes pops up. So I go throught the steps to set it up and it says the information entered does not match my bank records, but it does.
