IPhone 5 :: IOS 7.1.2 / Switching To SMS For A Single Message

Is there a way to just send an SMS, instead of an iMessage for a particular text? My friend uses iMessage on his Mac for most of our conversations, but has an android phone so every time he is away from his computer I have to disable iMessgae on my phone for a moment so I can respond to him. Every time he uses his computer, my phone defaults his contact back to iMessage. I'm not even sort of quick enough to press and hold the bubble and choose to send as SMS before the message is delivered because it's SUPER fast. Is there any way to just choose how to send each message? I've read that you can hold down the send button for 5 seconds and it will ask you how you want to send it, but that doesn't work on my 5.
My girlfriend sent me heaps of my cousins wedding photos a while ago maybe 500 texts ago now i cant be bothered to go through and find them is there an easier way ?
I Am unable to delete single text messages on my iPhone 5. The trash can does not appear at the bottom of the screen like it should. I can restart my iPhone and it will work, but just that one time. Also having an issue with sticky keyboard it isn't typing as I hit the keys there is a major delay, but this doesn't happen all the time it's hit or miss
I had a SE P990 and with it I was able to send a single message to an unlimited number of contacts by just adding contacts. Most phones are limited to 20 contacts per sent message. I am planning to buy a SE AINO but first want to be sure that it has the same feature. Does it have the same feature?
I am trying to restore a single app and its data from the backup. Is there a way to do this? I know I can restore my iPhone completely, but not interested, but do not want to do that. I know I can reinstall the app, but the data will not come from backup.I would like to get app data also. I searched the forum, I do not see too many threads on this. I am using iPhone 4s-iOS:5.1.1.
I have 2 year old 3GS, and for the past few days I've had a constant problem of the phone having a signal, then losing it and searching, then saying No Service, then searching, finding the signal and then repeating the whole thing over and over. Sometimes when it says no service, I manually have to go into settings, turn on airplane mode, and turn it off again to force it to search again. What typically happens is I will send a text, get a reply, go to reply and my signal will have gone. My 3G will come and go also however this doesn't happen with WIFI. The biggest problem I am having however is that yesterday my phone locked up, went to the apple logo and stayed there for over 10 minutes, I forced a restart but it said "Activation needed" when I swiped this it said "Connect to iTunes", iTunes says it can't read the data on the phone. I then put the phone into recovery mode and did a restore to 5.1.1, obviously losing all the photos I'd taken since my last back up and wiping my entire phone. As I felt the phone was being dodgy I didn't do a restore from my backup and just put a few contacts in. Today during a constant back and forth texting session my phone was repeatedly losing connection and coming back. It has just locked, gone to the apple logo and it says "Activation needed".
My wife and I have both our iPhones linked together through 1 iTunes account. How do I remove her iPhone from my iTunes account and set hers up with her own account. Will this remove all apps I have downloaded to her phone through my iTunes account.
Photos I take with my iPhone 4S appear in iPhoto on my iMac; however there are two of each photo. In other words, iPhoto on the computer is duplicating every single photo shot on the iPhone.
I think it is a syncing issue with iCloud and iTunes also syncing at the same time?
I have some pictures from the "camera roll" album that i copied to another album i created, but when i tried deleting them from te Camera Roll i says that i have to delete from ALL albums, i cant keep them only in the new album.
Cant i keep them only in an album or do i allwys have to keep a copy in Camera Roll???
I've updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 7.1.2 more than one month ago. Since then not a single WiFi network could be detected.My own WiFi network (via Apple Time Capsule) is working fine with my iPad2 (with iOS 7.1.2) and MacBook Pro.Â
Meanwhile I've tried all "solutions" recommended on the Apple support sites without any success.Â
Does anyone know of an app that would enable me to password protect a single application of my choice. I keep all of my passwords, PIN #'s and account information in my contacts program. Rather than transfer the sensitive information from those entries to a program like Ewallet, I'd like to just keep storing the info in the Contacts app, but secure the app with a password. Anyone know of anything that works that way?
I have 2 iPhone 4's, 1 is my personal phone, the other is my business phone, I want 2 different iCloud accounts, but both syncing to 1 computer, just so I can keep my personal and business life separate.
I cannot scroll (horizontally) in a single line text box on a web page in Safari on my iPhone when the text is longer than the text box. I am pretty sure that I used to be able to do this (before iOS 8). I don't remember the last time I tried to do this. I used to touch and hold to bring up the magnifying glass and then when I would move the cursor to the beginning/end of the text box the text would scroll. Now when I try to move the cursor to the end of the text box nothing happens. If I try to move the cursor past the end of the text box the cursor actually moves outside of the text box where the text would be. If I then start typing the text jumps so the cursor is at the end of the text box. This doesn't seem to work to get back to the beginning of the text. Â
I need to back up and sync multiple iPhones to a single iMac. Each iPhone has a separate Apple ID and the data from each iPhone needs to be backed up separately from the others. How can I do this without getting all of the contacts, etc. mixed?
I've had my Tmobile G4 for almost 2 weeks now and the screen pixelates every single day. The weird thing is it only happens on the bottom left corner of the screen and the size of the pixelation varies. It happens more often when I'm watching videos or playing games. I'd take a screenshot but it's almost impossible to capture because it happens randomly and so fast that I'd have to hold the power and volume down button before it happens in order to capture it. I prefer trying to fix it than bringing it to the Tmobile store where I'd stand for 10-20 minutes waiting for it to happen so they'll believe me.
This started happening pretty much immediately since I installed the 4.4.3 update late July, and has just gotten worse.
For a single one of my contacts, the SMS app lags HORRIBLY whenever I am doing anything with said person. It takes about half a minute just to load when I click his name, and the phone keeps completely freezing for up to 10-15 seconds EACH letter I type! It's not just the SMS app itself, but even the keyboard freezes up and is unresponsive. I can keep typing and it will apparently actually record the next 30 or so taps and just blaze through them ... then lag for another half minute or so again. None of the settings (how little there are) have had any effect. Once I click send the message also takes a bit before it appears and starts to send. Any action with this contact open in the SMS app seems to lag my phone like a unusable nightmare.
Since this is the person I tend to text the most, I have been tempted to crush the phone in my hand at this point. It is ONLY happening with them, and ONLY after the 4.4.3 update. It's not consistent either; I was still having this issue earlier today, but right now as I wanted to text him again it was working perfectly lag-free.
How many photos can you take on a single charge (say from 100% to 15%) Living images and rich capture off, most or all services off like cellular, wifi, bluetooth..There is a new blog on the devices blog which says Mr. Stephen was taking about 1000 photos a day using the lumia 950 and 950Xl. I find that hard to believe. URL...
For example, using my lumia 1020, the most I have been able was 280 photos of 5+38/34 JPEG with flight mode on and GPS on - battery down from 100 to 15%
