IPhone 5 :: How To Restore Saved Photos After Reset
Dec 1, 2014
I used to back up my iPhone 5 regularly. I backed up manually with iTunes several times a week, and automatically to iCloud. For some time now, my iPhone will not back up to iTunes or iCloud. Backup to iTunes died first, then backup to Cloud. When I try to back up manually, I get an error message saying "iTunes could not back up the iPhone '[my phone]" because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone. Delete backup for this iPhone, then try again."Â
However, iTunes shows no backups for this phone. Under "Latest Backup" iTunes also says "Your iPhone has never been backed up to iCloud.Â
At the Apple Store they tried a few things and now say all I can do is a full system reset. Without a backup, I will not be able to restore anything.Â
All I need to restore are the photos. I can access them on my PC when I plug in the iPhone, and I have copied the photos to my PC.Â
If I do a full reset, how can I get the photos back onto the iPhone from the PC?
how do I remove my entire camera roll? I understand I can delete after sync, but how do I remove ALL photo's from previous snyc (when I had not deleted them)
I want to know if I can get back the photos I've just deleted. My iCloud sharing was active since the day I bought iPhone. It's been about 2 months. iCloud say that it keeps the saved 1000 photos for 30 days. So I guess I can reach them. I downloaded iCloud for PC but I can only see the photos already on my phone.
I recently had my phone repaired under warranty and since its been returned the newer versoin of Android has been installed and the process to save onto my SD card has changed and cant read the old messages saved form the earlier Android version.
Photos not getting saved when using the front camera... Once the capture button is pressed or the picture taken with the hand sensor, camera app exits without saving the picture...
my wife and i both have moto x 2014 with latest updates lollipop 5.1 , we can receive mms with photos and can save them but they don't show up either in photos or gallery , where are they saved ?
I used SmartCam, selected the best picture and saved it to the phone. Then I connected the phone to my Windows 7 PC via USB and, using Windows Explorer, tried copying the saved result from the phone and pasting it into a folder on my PC's hard drive; but when I tried pasting it, I got an "Access denied" message.
I also noticed that when -- again via Windows Explorer -- I tried to open this saved photo from my phone's photo folder, by double-clicking it to launch Window's photo viewer, I got a message saying I could not as I "don't have the necessary permissions to access the file location." Excuse me, it's my phone and my photo, whose permission do I need?
I can email myself the saved photo, but it is low resolution, with a file size of around 400kb, compared to original's apx. 5 mb. All the camera hardware and software wizardry in the world is useless if the photos are held captive on the phone!
After taking my son on his first cub scout camporee this weekend. I took tons of pictures and once we got home and started to show most of them are corrupt. I DID have the camera app set to save pics to the internal memory. Some how while playing with the settings it was changed to save to the micro SD card. All photos that are saved to the SD card seem to get corrupted. They have a normal file size but I noticed that all of the corrupt files have a resolution of -1 x -1. Pics that aren't corrupt have a resolution of 5312 x 2988.
I just reset my phone and noticed all my tagged pictures (which reside on my SD card) are no longer tagged. Was there a way to save those tags during a reset? Where is the tagging info saved?
My new Nokia N8 is working good, but I can´t enter the photos. Everytime I press the button "photos" my Nokia turns into black screen and nothing happens. The phone is not down, but it can´t display photos or videos. What should I do? Should I download some program to view pictures?
I thought it was saving pictures sent in text messages to the SD card. After all it says it is saving to SD card rather than phone internal storage. But it isn't. None of the photos are on the external SD card and they do not appear when I attempt to move the files under settings-storage-move to SD card. I noticed there is a slight difference in the path names of the camera and Handcent....the camera has the sdcard-ext in the path and Handcent does not have the ext portion in the path. However when I try to type the path into where to save them, it tells me invalid path. how to save texted photos to the external SD card?
How do I reset and restore from ITunes.I have a IPhone 4s,and I can't reset from the phone because evidentally my 4 yr. old son set a password for restrictions.
My 'facetime' stopped working for some reason. I did use facetime just a day ago and didn't do changes since then. For some reason it stopped working. So, as per my wife's advice, I did 'Reset all settings'. But, for some reason after doing its thing it is asking me to 'Set Up iPhone' with these options:Set Up as New iPhone, Restore from iCloud Backup, Restore from iTunes Backup. This scared me...did I lose my media. I have tons of videos and pictures of my son. I didn't want to lose them. So, I jsut stopped proceeding.
Earlier this evening I finally decided to update my iPhone to the 5.1.1 software. However after it freezing slightly it appeared to update normally and requested to plug into iTunes. On doing this the "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery" message appeared and asked me to restore. However I have recently been on holidays and hadn't had chance to back them up to my laptop yet and I understand that by restoring you lose all data that isn't backed up.
I have a 4S, IOS 7.1.1. I did a factory reset, after first backing it up, and now that I am trying to sync all apps from that last backup, it says it cannot sync because this computer is no longer authorized. So I authorize the computer as it prompts me too, then it says, this computer is already authorized. I try to sync again, it still says computer not authorized. It's been a continuous circle. I have done everything from de-authorizing and re-authorizing the computer, removing the SC Info folder and restarting the computer and authorizing the computer associated with all Apple IDs, basically everything I have found on this site and everything support was telling me to do.
I was taking extremely important photos throughout an event on my iPhone 4, however, my iPhone 4 ran out of battery once I was near a charger I plugged it in and for some reason my iPhone had reset itself. Is there any way possible I can recover the photos that were taken?
