IPhone 5s :: Front And Rear Camera Stopped Working
Dec 10, 2014I have an iPhone 5S and the camera completely stopped working completely.The front camera and rear camera are just black. I've tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, restoring it, I've tried everything and nothing works. I did drop my phone about a month ago and cracked the screen but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Everything else works but my camera. One day my camera worked fine and the next day it didn't and hasn't worked since.

Jun 4, 2014All it does is turn off my phone or it will automatically go back to my home screen. My front camera works only on snapchat. I reset my phone twice and turned it off multiple times, I also took it to the AT&T store and they said theres nothing wrong with it but to just reset my phone. after i reset my phone twice it still doesnt work.

Jun 21, 2014My iphone camera stared acting wonky a few weeks back, as in lower resolution and faint lines showing up with an occasional half screen glitch (I'll attach a picture I took of one of these) but it would go away after I focused. Yesterday it stopped working completely though. I open the camera an its just black (no shutter). Front camera still works. On apps like snapchat it opens directly to the front camera and doesn't even give me the option to switch to the rear camera. I've tried everything, I opened the back and the lens isn't cracked from what I could see with a flashlight, it's not dirty, I've turned it on and off several times and force quit the camera app but nothing seems to work! I dot have a warranty and I still have 10 months to go with this phone

Nov 12, 2015Recently I damaged the rear housing on my HTC One M9, the damage to my knowledge was only external as all features of the phone still worked perfectly (including NFC). I ordered a replacement rear housing online from etradesupply. I am not sure if the replacement was genuine but I can say it was high quality and seemed legit.
I fitted the rear housing only touching the two screws at the top of the phone making sure I did not move and flex cables or antenna's.
For some reason the NFC has never worked since, I have tested on various different tags / payment readers and still no success.

Sep 2, 2015I just replaced the screen on my g4 with a screen I got from futuresupplier.com in china.
After powering up the rear camera is no longer working. The front camera does however it saves the pictures upside down. In snapchat the pic saves correct but in the camera app it saves them upside down. Why is this? Could this be a screen issue?
It may be possible the rear camera was damaged but unlikely. this phone was very easy to work on. Is there anything I can do?

When I first got it from the carrier it was okay and focus was working perfectly, now whenever I try to zoom or focus it just gives a blur vision, it takes a normal pictures of far views tho' ... Â

Jun 23, 2012My camera on my Iphone 4s has stopped working. I recently installed 5.1.1 and today when I press the camera app teh following happens
1. The app opens and displays the shutter.
2. The camera icon then goes from black to grey
3. The screen then goes black with the 3 icons at the top (Off, Options, & the camera reverse button) All of this happens without me touching the screen.
Sometimes the screen goes black and sometimes it goes grey. I can look at existing hotos and play existing videos but cannot do anything at all with the camera

Jul 1, 2014I have an iPhone 5S and the camera stopped working. It was still under warranty so no problem. Apple arranged for a new one to be sent and for my old one to be sent back to them. Before I sent it back I backed up the phone on to my iTunes.Â
Got the new one today and I have tried restoring the back up onto the new phone and I am getting the following error message 'The back up cannot be restored to abc iPhone because the software on the iPhone is too old. Apple haven't sent me an older version?
HTC One M8 :: Can Display Both Camera And Video Button For Rear Camera
Jun 18, 2014I love my new M8. I previously had the HTC One S, and when in camera mode, you had a camera OR video button at the same time.
On the M8, I see this setup for my front facing camera, but on the rear facing, I have to keep going into the menu and selecting one or another. I frequently flip back and forth, and it's soooo annoying. I'll be ready to snap a pic and oops I left it on video mode. Then I have to stop the video and go back and change. And when you're taking pics of a 9 month old baby, they don't understand to stop and wait a few seconds.
Anyways... is there some kind of setting to display both the camera and video button on the same screen at the same time? I looked around but couldn't find anything.

Jun 20, 2014My iphone 5 rear camera won't focus on close objects. This happened a few months after I upgraded it to iOS 7. I'm not entirely sure what the issue is and there are no genius bars nearby to take it to. Later I noticed this tiny black spot in my pictures. Its unlike any 'speck of dust' pictures I'm encountering.Â
I would just like to know whether this is a scratch or a hardware problem or if its something on (not in) the lens that can be removed with cleaning. This is the camera at maximum zoom. The size of the spot increases when I zoom in.

Mar 12, 2012My best friend and I both have iPhone 4s' and have been using iMessage since we got the phones back in December with no problems. Last Wednesday, we updated our iPhones to the newest iOS 5.1 update. The following day, she had turned her phone off because her wifi was acting up and wouldn't send her iMessages. She fell asleep before turning her phone back on. When i sent her a text, it was saying "sent as text message" under the couple texts I had sent her. When she woke up and turned her phone back on, iMessage wouldn't work and continued to send as texts. The next day she found that if we turn our "send as SMS" off, iMessage started working again. The same thing happened again last night and we tried the "send as SMS" thing again and it's still not working. We have tried everything and can't figure out how to get iMessage working for us again. This problem didn't ever occur until iOS 5.1 update

Mar 18, 2012Ever since the leatest update (5.1) my Iphone's sound doesnt work? when i play music the volume button has disappeared and the keys on the side of the phone only turns the "ringer" up and down. Ive also tried double clicking the home button and swiping to that volume control but the nozzle disapeares when i touch it. The strangest thing is when i but headphones in my volume control all comes back ? Ive reset my phone, turned it off and on and restored it using itunes. What is wrong with it?
