I want to know if there is a flashlight app that can use the LED light of the rear camera of the Fire XT. I've tried almost all the apps that show up at the Market but no one seems to work with it.I also need to know if there is possible to make videocalls using the Fire XT front camera. I've tried Skype and others but they can't handle/find the camera.

I have been using the phone in India since the past couple of months and now my camera hardware doesn't work for no fault of my own (apparently it's due to humidity). Apple Support India will not repair a phone that's not bought in India, and I won't be returning to the US for another few months. What should I do?
P.S. Paid $650 instead of $200 so I could use this phone anywhere in the world but what they didn't tell me that I couldn't fix it anywhere in the world (were something to go wrong.)

1) above the screen, there are two things, one of them is the camera , what is the other thing and what does it do?
2) behind the slider, ( the on that goes to music player and radio ) , there is a light that keeps flashing, there is no missed call or anything that would cause it to flash. It doesn't flash all the time, from time to time it starts to work. why does it flash?
3) is there anyway that i can make the flash of the camera to work as a flash light?
All it does is turn off my phone or it will automatically go back to my home screen. My front camera works only on snapchat. I reset my phone twice and turned it off multiple times, I also took it to the AT&T store and they said theres nothing wrong with it but to just reset my phone. after i reset my phone twice it still doesnt work.

My iPhone 5s (16GB) running on iOS 7.1.1 having a problem with the camera ...
When I first got it from the carrier it was okay and focus was working perfectly, now whenever I try to zoom or focus it just gives a blur vision, it takes a normal pictures of far views tho' ... Â
I didn't try anything else than tapping on my rear camera and it did nothing useful as it still not focusing on stuff ...
My iphone camera stared acting wonky a few weeks back, as in lower resolution and faint lines showing up with an occasional half screen glitch (I'll attach a picture I took of one of these) but it would go away after I focused. Yesterday it stopped working completely though. I open the camera an its just black (no shutter). Front camera still works. On apps like snapchat it opens directly to the front camera and doesn't even give me the option to switch to the rear camera. I've tried everything, I opened the back and the lens isn't cracked from what I could see with a flashlight, it's not dirty, I've turned it on and off several times and force quit the camera app but nothing seems to work! I dot have a warranty and I still have 10 months to go with this phone

I love my new M8. I previously had the HTC One S, and when in camera mode, you had a camera OR video button at the same time.
On the M8, I see this setup for my front facing camera, but on the rear facing, I have to keep going into the menu and selecting one or another. I frequently flip back and forth, and it's soooo annoying. I'll be ready to snap a pic and oops I left it on video mode. Then I have to stop the video and go back and change. And when you're taking pics of a 9 month old baby, they don't understand to stop and wait a few seconds.
Anyways... is there some kind of setting to display both the camera and video button on the same screen at the same time? I looked around but couldn't find anything.
I have an iPhone 5S and the camera completely stopped working completely.The front camera and rear camera are just black. I've tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, restoring it, I've tried everything and nothing works. I did drop my phone about a month ago and cracked the screen but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Everything else works but my camera. I'm not entirely sure what the issue is and there are no genius bars nearby to take it to. Later I noticed this tiny black spot in my pictures. Its unlike any 'speck of dust' pictures I'm encountering.Â
I would just like to know whether this is a scratch or a hardware problem or if its something on (not in) the lens that can be removed with cleaning. This is the camera at maximum zoom. The size of the spot increases when I zoom in.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason when I load up my camera app, only the front facing camera will work. i have gone through all the settings in the camera but nothing will let me select the main camera. i've had it for 3 days and it's worked fine till about an hour ago. the only thing I did was install angry birds and hanging with friends. everything else seems to work fine on the phone. here is what i've tried to correct the problem so far:
-removed angry birds and hanging with friends
-removed all apps i've downloaded since i got the phone
-did a factory reset
I bought an Xperia Ray, which had some evidence of water damage. Everything works fine except the rear 8M camera.
Everytime I open an application that uses the rear camera I get a force close and application ends. Everything to do with the front camera works fine.

After powering up the rear camera is no longer working. The front camera does however it saves the pictures upside down. In snapchat the pic saves correct but in the camera app it saves them upside down. Why is this? Could this be a screen issue?
It may be possible the rear camera was damaged but unlikely. this phone was very easy to work on. Is there anything I can do?
I was taking some picture and suddenly I got a black screen. Then whenever I use the rear camera it gives me only black screen if I tried to take photo it took a while then give me a defect photo that i can't open. It doesn't work for both photos and videos. The front camera works fine. I noticed also that I have an issue with the flash too that when I open it I can't close it except with a restart.

For about a month now I have been unable to take photos with my rear facing camera. When I take a photo using the default camera app it looks like it saved the photo and when I go to look it is a black and white image of a human. It does however save a thumbnail of the picture sometimes. I am able to take pictures (like a selfie) with the front facing camera though successfully.

Currently, I have to take pictures with Snap Chat since its the are the only other camera apps that I have on my phone and of course, the quality of those photos are terrible. I can also take a screen shot of the photo as well, but obviously that's not good either. All of these methods save to the SD card.
I have a friend that had the same issue a while back but his works now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHad to update my Z5 yesterday, never like updates always seem to mess something up. This time it is the flash, the light comes on randomly.and cannot be.turned off without a restart. Once happens can not use camera or flashlight both say it is already in use or error and to close before trying but there is no app open. As far as I know only have the two that use it, it is a pain as runs battery down fast, gets hot and if is in jacket not going to know for long time.
