I want to know if there is a flashlight app that can use the LED light of the rear camera of the Fire XT. I've tried almost all the apps that show up at the Market but no one seems to work with it.I also need to know if there is possible to make videocalls using the Fire XT front camera. I've tried Skype and others but they can't handle/find the camera.

First refused camera, and two days later stopped working flashlight; now its icon in the control pale.

I took one picture with the phone and a day later the phones front and rear facing camera are not working. i called motorola and did a battery pull as well as factory reset and still not working.my next step is to go back to verizon wireless and see what they can do. did anyone have this problem?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a motorola fire xt 311 which after purchased developed touch problem and the service center got the touch changed. after it for few months the same was working fine, when i had to do a factory reset as the dialer app was not working and i could not see any contacts in the dialer.now as i was trying to set one of the pics i had taken as wall paper, did all that is needed, and was in the home screen waiting for the old one to change - nothin happened for about 20 sec and suddenl;y i got a call. answered it and after a while the phones get restarted automatically.after that when the same got restarted the patter lock screen came up and the touch was not working and i could not go in. how ever when a call come, u get a warnmning that the process "moto switch home" is not working, whether u need to force close oe wait. i gave force close and then the incoming call appears on screen and u can take the call(touch works for this alone). while in the call no other button responds.the sadest part is i got my colleague also to buy this phone and once he got his main borad as well as touch replaced, but this did not solve the issue, they are getting his phone replaced.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI love my new M8. I previously had the HTC One S, and when in camera mode, you had a camera OR video button at the same time.
On the M8, I see this setup for my front facing camera, but on the rear facing, I have to keep going into the menu and selecting one or another. I frequently flip back and forth, and it's soooo annoying. I'll be ready to snap a pic and oops I left it on video mode. Then I have to stop the video and go back and change. And when you're taking pics of a 9 month old baby, they don't understand to stop and wait a few seconds.
Anyways... is there some kind of setting to display both the camera and video button on the same screen at the same time? I looked around but couldn't find anything.
I have a xperia z2 and my problem is that it does not work the rear camera is in black and I get that the camera is not available, but I put the front camera and works without any problem.

View 7 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason when I load up my camera app, only the front facing camera will work. i have gone through all the settings in the camera but nothing will let me select the main camera. i've had it for 3 days and it's worked fine till about an hour ago. the only thing I did was install angry birds and hanging with friends. everything else seems to work fine on the phone. here is what i've tried to correct the problem so far:
-removed angry birds and hanging with friends
-removed all apps i've downloaded since i got the phone
-did a factory reset
All it does is turn off my phone or it will automatically go back to my home screen. My front camera works only on snapchat. I reset my phone twice and turned it off multiple times, I also took it to the AT&T store and they said theres nothing wrong with it but to just reset my phone. after i reset my phone twice it still doesnt work.

When I first got it from the carrier it was okay and focus was working perfectly, now whenever I try to zoom or focus it just gives a blur vision, it takes a normal pictures of far views tho' ... Â
I didn't try anything else than tapping on my rear camera and it did nothing useful as it still not focusing on stuff ...

Everytime I open an application that uses the rear camera I get a force close and application ends. Everything to do with the front camera works fine.
My z2 cameras rear and front have stopped working for no reason, when I try to open the camera I get ' unfortunately, camera has stopped'. I've done a factory reset and I've also done the software update and nothing!

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone camera stared acting wonky a few weeks back, as in lower resolution and faint lines showing up with an occasional half screen glitch (I'll attach a picture I took of one of these) but it would go away after I focused. Yesterday it stopped working completely though. I open the camera an its just black (no shutter). Front camera still works. On apps like snapchat it opens directly to the front camera and doesn't even give me the option to switch to the rear camera. I've tried everything, I opened the back and the lens isn't cracked from what I could see with a flashlight, it's not dirty, I've turned it on and off several times and force quit the camera app but nothing seems to work! After powering up the rear camera is no longer working. The front camera does however it saves the pictures upside down. In snapchat the pic saves correct but in the camera app it saves them upside down. Why is this? Could this be a screen issue?
It may be possible the rear camera was damaged but unlikely. this phone was very easy to work on. Is there anything I can do?
I was taking some picture and suddenly I got a black screen. Then whenever I use the rear camera it gives me only black screen if I tried to take photo it took a while then give me a defect photo that i can't open. It doesn't work for both photos and videos. The front camera works fine. I noticed also that I have an issue with the flash too that when I open it I can't close it except with a restart.

2-) force shutdown with the off key.
3-) factory reset
4-) repair through pc companion.

but unfortunately all doesn't work.
For about a month now I have been unable to take photos with my rear facing camera. When I take a photo using the default camera app it looks like it saved the photo and when I go to look it is a black and white image of a human. It does however save a thumbnail of the picture sometimes. I am able to take pictures (like a selfie) with the front facing camera though successfully.

Currently, I have to take pictures with Snap Chat since its the are the only other camera apps that I have on my phone and of course, the quality of those photos are terrible. I can also take a screen shot of the photo as well, but obviously that's not good either. All of these methods save to the SD card.
I have a friend that had the same issue a while back but his works now.

I'm having a problem with my Xperia mini pro front facing camera, I can't switch between the front and the rear camera, the only camera that's working is the rear one, and there's no option for switching it, I just realized this problem today.

I've tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, restoring it, I've tried everything and nothing works. I did drop my phone about a month ago and cracked the screen but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Everything else works but my camera. I'm not entirely sure what the issue is and there are no genius bars nearby to take it to. Later I noticed this tiny black spot in my pictures. I just bought a SAmsung galaxy S 6 smartphone. This time it is the flash, the light comes on randomly.and cannot be.turned off without a restart. Once happens can not use camera or flashlight both say it is already in use or error and to close before trying but there is no app open. As far as I know only have the two that use it, it is a pain as runs battery down fast, gets hot and if is in jacket not going to know for long time.

I'm having problem with my Curve 8900, I bought my phone maybe 3 months ago and it works great with no problems!
yeterday, I had to change my SIM card, after I replaced it and put the battary back again, the FlashLight goes on! and I can't turn it off! I tried to go to camera settings and change flash to OFF and the same in Video Camera with no luck..!
also, I tried to wipe the handheld from (Security Options) with no luck.when I turn the phone off the flash is ON, and when I take off the battary and plug the phone to the AC, it boots normally WITHOUT flash, as soon as I put the battary the flash works..!
I just updated to lollipop on my european moto x 2014 and then I tried the flashlight toggle, and it was working just fine. However after using the flashlight the camera doesnt work anymore. I just get a error message. Camera has unfortunately stopped. I have even flashed the stock kitkat firmware and it still wasnt working..
