I have an iPhone 4S and want to install the most recent software upgrade (7.1.2) but do not have enough space. I went to the music tab and unchecked sync music, I get a prompt asking if I want to remove all of my music. I clicked okay and the phone syncs, but the music is not removed from my phone.

Will deleting songs permanently remove music from the iTunes Match library being shared with our other devices?

I cant remove music from my iphone. I have tried de-selecting the sync all music from itunes and it removes all music except 27 songs that are not even songs I have put on my phone. They are from my wifes library. I assume they were added through the cloud. I have turned off all cloud options but still cant remove the 27 songs.

I'm syncing my iPhone to iTunes and I'm ending up having music on my phone that, according to iTunes isn't on my phone. Or do i just reset the phone to factory settings thereby deleting all music? And doing that, what's preventing me from having the same issue again?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have went into Itunes and clicked on music and unchecked a bunch of songs I don't want to sync, I also went to the device and music tab and checked selected playlists artists, albums, and genres and scrolled down to albums and unchecked the ones I don't want synced, then I clicked sync in Itunes, but after the songs are still on the device why is this? They don't seem to be removed from the Iphone.

I've installed the sync program and tried to connect the phone with the "sync" option when connected to the pc - "no device found". I tried connecting as memory card while hoping there were some folders with sensible names for putting music files into it, but no. So how do you do it my peeps?
2. When I first started up the phone I thought syncing it with facebook was a good idea... turned out not so good.. Now all my contacts are saved 2 or 3 times, and some of them with no phone number even, just their name. This is really shit. So, if I go from the main screen to "all apps" and "contacts" (not sure what it's called in english, but i guess it's kinda something like what i write) I managed to turn off the facebook thing there, and the contacts were removed from that list. BUT, when I click on the phone symbol in bottom center of the main screen they are still there, I also tried restarting the phone - no effect. Also, it seems like i can't delete them one by one either so..
And what does the expression mark with a circle around it mean? It appeared in the top left corner the other day.. something bad? Looks something like this ( ! )
Is it possible (and wise) to remove the pre-installed Music Player that came with the Samsung Galaxy S2? I ask because I prefer to use a superior music player and occasionally there are conflicts between the two so i thought it would be better to remove the pre-installed one.

I purchased music on itunes on my iphone and the songs won't show up in my music library on the phone. They are on my computer itunes library but it won't let me transfer the purchases back to my phone (which I have never had to do before). My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.
