iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.1 stopped recognising my sim card and when I removed the sim card, I noticed that there was a red light inside the sim card tray.
I've restored as new and still no change.
i just bought an iphone 3gs and the sim tray got stuck because i put it the wrong way and when i took it im scared i might broke something because now it doesnt read my sim card.. I dont know if the warranty covers my stupidy, should i try apple store?

View 7 Replies View Related2 days ago my phone randomly looses signal, (I'm in the middle of London in location at which I would normally get at least 4 bars 'H' signal), I wait for 10 minutes still nothing so I try and turn it off, the phone freezes/gets stuck with the 'phone shutting down' message on display.At this point I decide to just take the battery out and put it back in, after doing so the phone will not turn on what so ever. When I get home that evening I try to charge it, nothing, no lights and still won't turn on.
Taking the battery out again, followed by the sim card and memory card I notice that the memory card has a crack in it, all the way across and just under the gold contacts. I think nothing of it as surely this couldn't have happened while it was in the phone and must have been there the whole time, so put everything back in and try again. Nothing. Open it up again and take out the memory card, leaving it out this time I try again and the phone starts up.So Sony Ericsson,
I just sent my Xoom off on a repair ticket because when I went to put in the SD card, I goofed. I did not realize the clear plastic "fingernail" was holding the SD slot. I tried to put the card in and it slipped under the appointed slot and got stuck inside the Xoom.if you haven't inserted your SD card yet, don't do what I did. There is a clear plastic tab that must be removed from the slot for the SD card. get the card back with the Xoom. It worked fine even with the stuck card, but the dust cover wouldn't go back on.

I have an IPhone 4. I do not get signal at all when I'm inside some specific location. fx, inside a supermarket, even in my work-place but not in my apartment. I generally get no-signal in a location which has wall on 3 sides. I suspect that my iphone is not capturing signal well. I do get signal in other places but not inside those places. I'm having this problem since Apri. I bought my IPhone in June 2011. I get 'searching' or 'no service' message. I returned my phone to my carrier for the repair, however, they examined my phone and told me there is no problem. They possibly could not understand the actual problem of my phone.I suppose my phone has only 1 year of warranty and if so, then it expired on June 1. what should I do now?

Been trying lots of things out and came across an app that updated when shaking. When I shook the phone,I could clearly hear something rattle inside.I kept shaking it to see if I could figure out what was loose checked all the buttons and didn't seem to be them.Then I noticed after a little shaking it said "NO SIM" so I thought this must be it.I took the sim card out and shook again and it still rattled so it doesn't seem to be the sim. Everything seems to be working fine.Anyone else seen this?

There's something stuck inside the 'clicky bit' at the bottom of my headphone jack, stopping the 3.5mm plug from clicking fully down into the phone, making the connection to the earbuds very delicate and making it impossible for me to listen to music properly without holding the phone still in my hand, one of my friends (''phone repair expert'') says its stuck inside a mechanism, and that it would require replacing the whole unit, including the silent switch (My silent switch is also broken but not a major concern)The phone was purchased on contract december 2010 so is of warranty, and is also jailbroken on 5.0.1 (I LIKE it that way, @oldwomanwhingers) so I expect the hardware warranty doesn't apply here, so any chance I could be given a vague estimate on what Apple would charge me for this repair?

If I wanted to see all my icons I clicked the bear claw and they all showed up (so, one click). On my Bold, six icons appear along the bottom when I open it, as well, but in order to see all my icons, I now have to click the bear claw, then click "open tray," so twice the number of clicks - a small but really annoying difference. Can you tell me how I can avoid that first step and automatically open the "tray" when I click the bear claw when I am on on the homepage?
View 9 Replies View Relatedwhenever I send a text, a notification pops up for less than a second and then goes away so quickly that I was having trouble even seeing what it was. I finally got a good enough look at it to go through my app list and find what was causing it, which turned out to be the "Usage" app. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's supposed to happen, but I figured I would come here and see just to be sure and see if there is a way I can make it stop. The "allow notifications" check box is checked and grayed out, so I can't change it.
