Galaxy S5 :: Call Screen Has Suddenly Lost Mute And Dial Pad
May 1, 2014See this call screen? This just started happening to me the other day and I don't know why. Something must have changed, but I don't know what it would have been. Instead of the normal 6 tiles at the bottom, I have only three now. I cannot mute the line or go to a dial pad. I am chatting with Samsung support about it but they are clueless so far. We have tried a soft reset, resetting the Cache and Data for the Phone App, resetting app preferences and Safe Mode and nothing has worked.

Feb 22, 2010When I make or receive a call, I don't hear the other party and the don't hear me. Before posting, I have searched and exhausted every potential fix for this problem I could find on this forum. Can anybody make any techincal suggestions?
all buttons work properly
screen functions normally
ringer/text message/email sounds still working properly
volume set to max
replaced ear speaker with one from a known working pearl 8130
profile set full loud
attempted battery pull
media player does not make any sound through phone anymore but does through headphones
cdma v4.5.0.77
i tried searching the forum and the closest similar issue I could find was one on a Storm that was stuck in headset mode. I also tried the cut off qtip cleaning method in the headset port with no luck.I haven't had the chance to try through the factory headphones (lost it) or a bluetooth setup but so far all seems that it would work. When using normal headphones (no mic) I can hear my side of a phone call just fine.
IPhone :: Lost All My Photos After Waiting To Restore?
Apr 24, 2012I lost my iphone 4s about 2 months ago. I went out and bought a new one but kept putting off syncing it with my computer. Today I finally connected it to my mac computer and it gave me the option to restore this new iphone to the one I had lost a few months ago. I didn't know much about the process so I restored it. But since I had waiting so long to sync this phone I had over 100 photos and many new contacts. The restore did gave my new iphone the same background and I've noticed some of the setting I used to have are back as well as all the old photos I had on my old phone. But it deleted all the photos I had taken on my phone over the two months between buying it and now finally syncing it and it also doesn't have any of the contacts I added between now and then. Is there any way to get those back?

Jan 11, 2016I'm a bit annoyed that every time I get a call while in a call an attempt to answer it now asks me if I want to hang up or place the current call on hold, this is a great feature it's just poorly implemented, instead of skidding right to hold and up to hang up or left to ignore it forces me to slide right to answer then press what I want to do in a popup.

1) when I receive a new call (waiting) while i am already in a call, the calling contact name is not appearing, its covered by the current call info !!!

Jul 14, 2010I have a friend that just bought this BlackBerry Bold 9700 and the call waiting beep volume is so low he is missing his calls.He called blackberry, his provider and is getting nowhere they keep telling him to return the device for a new one and he did once but of course didn't fix this problem.They came out with a new download that was suppose to fix this problem but guess what it didn't.Blackberry doesn't seem to care about this problem but you bet if it was their buisness calls they was missing they'd fix it faster.Anyone no of any new News on this? Feb 28, 2014Just switched to a HTC One dual sim 802d from iphone 5 a few weeks back. One issue I'm facing with the One is the call waiting notification beep volume level is too low. Most of the times, when I'm on a call and if someone else calls my no. I don't even come to know that call waiting was activated as the notification beep volume is just plain too low.
Its okay on speakerphone mode, but when I have the set next to my ear, I just can't hear that beep. Never had the issue with iphone 5 or my earlier Nokia's before the HTC one, on most of these the call waiting beep would be too darn loud and annoying, now its just way to low. Spoke to HTC Tech Support and the guy asked to me increase the Ring volume to max and see if that works, but that too made no difference.
Just updated to Android 4.4.2 a few days back and Sense 5.5

May 14, 2014I am using my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon) for my work and I recently noticed a flaw in the phone. Here is the scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) Disconnect or 'End' the call # 2.
5) This will also end the call # 1 and you have lost both calls.
Here is another scenario:
1) Dial a phone number and begin your call # 1.
2) While keeping the call # 1 active, ask someone to give you a call.
3) Accept the incoming call # 2, and speak for a few seconds.
4) SWAP the calls from #2 to #1
5) End the call #1.
6) This will also end the call # 2 and you have lost both calls.
BOTTOM LINE: Disconnecting any one call during call waiting will automatically disconnect the other call as well.

1. I cant pick up the new incoming call! After swiping it stays on call #1. And then
2. Whether I swipe for the new call or not, It will hang up both calls after 5 seconds!
I thought updating may work, but I continuously get a "check back later Update is unavailable"(my wording) message through my phone,or it wont allow me to update through the Verizon update fix while plugged into the pc.
