i am having problems refreshing podcasts on my x6. last night i tried to add 3 podcasts ( they are bbc ones which i have subscribed to weekly for years). even though they all show up when the phone is connected to the computer . the library doesnt seem to recognise them !!. I have tried to delete the old folder on my phone as wondered if that might help. but have an error message 'general system error.

They all failed to refresh. I found out when I went to go download something to no avail.
I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player.
To resolve this I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked. As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song. Outrageous!
Has anyone else experienced this?

1) loaded current PC Suite.
2) It successfully found my phone and my bluetooth connection.
3) It asked me to download and install OVI. I did so, but it failed.
4) The program read my address book successfully.
5) It tried to refresh the contents and failed.
6) It failed backup suggesting I reconnec the phone and try again. This doesn't work.
7) It doesn't find pictures on my camera to upload.
8) The program locks if I try to go to Settings.
9) The program is also extremely slow opening up any application.
10) It won't let me edit contacts.
This thing just isn't working. I'm running Windows XP home on a Dell Dimension E520
I use swype 2.1 on my 808.with fp2 there came a problem, when i answer an sms the answer is behind the keyboard so I cant see.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSince the Belle Refresh update on N8 I've been having a bug concerning text fields in the browser. When a text field is active and the keyboard is visible, clicking buttons on the screen will make you click other nearby links or buttons instead. For example, if you click Search in my attached image, the "Sign in" link will get clicked instead. That happens on other sites aswell. It also happens if you click on empty space with a link underneath it. As if the touch-screen area moves up a bit when the keyboard appears. Right now I'm using the enter key, but I'm still used to just clicking buttons on the screen.

facing this problem since pretty long...(could be since past 2 months...) its bugging me and i desperately need to download apps from these catalogs like boot menu and many more... asking the N900 gurus for the solution..
The option to refresh the Music Library seems to be missing.
Is anyone else experiencing this or have I gone completely madder?

Before I upgrade S60, "refresh" option could be found at
Go to Music ( from main menu ) then go to Music Library( not Music Store ) so the screen displays Artists, Albums etc. Press Options and Refresh Library is second option.
After upgrading, "refresh" disappeared.
I have those old items too, but "Refresh library" is slotted between "Show open apps." and "Go to Music store". Strange how yours isn't showing...
I guess this issue caused by the new SW update(v 11.0.045).
At first my music player only showed 1200 songs/1600ish
this is what i did
1) Refresh(didn't work)
2)Delete Private data under E:/private
3)Removed ALL songs and put them back in(didn't work)
4)Removed ALL songs again and put 10 songs in (to test if its just taking time to reload) and that didn't work
3) Soft restart(didn't work)
4)Hard restart(didn't work)
I'm out of idea's and how i have 0 songs in my music library and its making me mad.

i jus want to know if other people are also experiencing my problems. i'm not going to touch every no97 music player issues. i'll tell you one at a time. well here it goes, when i've about 400 songs in the music player and i decide to delete one in the list, the list(playlist) takes 3 mins to refresh.

When I tried to open the Music Player, it showed only some 70 songs, instead of 172 which the Memory card had originally in it.I tried to Refresh the Music Player, initially it showed that files are been loaded.But after about 50 songs the device hanged up there.I tried to cancel the process, but it didn't respond anything. The Screen got struck and I have to switch-off mobile and start it again to resume it into operation. View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using Nokia 5800 Xpress Music which is updated to v5. My problem is the music player refreshes too long and doesn't detect tthe songs I have saved in my memory card. I have deleted some files in the 3 folders contained in the private folder to reset the library. After I have disconnected it from the computer I start the music player again. Then it refreshes to long again and did not detect any songs. What can I do? Is there any other way?

I have tried deleting files in the Private folder, the playlists and tracks dissappear but then when I refresh it just finds the same 232 that were there before and not new one I've added. I had to do a hard reset when the phone wouldn't switch on and that fixed the problem, however once I connect the phone to my computer in Mass Storage mode and the problem occured again. I have done a soft and hard reset and the problem persists.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI was having trouble connecting my nokia 5800 as MTP device to my windows 7 machine. After reading some suggestions on the forum I removed my memory card and vola it recognized the nokia 5800 as MTP device installed all its drivers. I then used Latest OVI to sync music to my 5800.
After the sync when I try to refresh the music library, it just opens and the scanning window and closes it without adding any thing. Similarly if I try to set an image as the wallpaper when I click on image earlier it used to bring up the list of images on the memory card but now it is coming up blank. The firmware is V 4.0.
I cant refresh music library in my 5233, refreshing just don't stop in music player and so no new tracks are added to it however all previous songs of music player are available in music player, new added tracks play well in file manager but they don't appear in music player as refreshing music player dont stop But when I refresh music player by removing MMC then it quickly refresh music library I don't want to do hard reset on my phone however I have done soft reset.

View 19 Replies View Relateda few months ago, as I put a newly bought 8gb micro sd in my n97 mini, on which I had copied all the folders from my previous micro sd, the audio player bugged: I couldn't refresh the music list anymore, and couldn't see the musics of the micro sd. The memory card was fine since there was no problem for pictures etc.Since then I tried everything... soft reset, hard reset, other memory cards, musics on the internal memory of the phone... my firmware's updated (v30.0.004), never used a hack or anything like that, all updates made from nokia suite.By the way, the message displayed when I refresh the musics from the audio player, it says (in French) Operation cancelled: file corrupt.

Batterytime is beyond miserable now Removing the weather widget from the start screen did NOT solve the problem. 100 % certain it's the weather widget's fault. Nokia either needs to provide an update solution quickly or provide a way to completely remove the widget and NOT have it installed again upon connection to Nokia Suite
after updated to my nokia n8 anna version to belle i got succesfull. But i try to clear my ram it ask securuty code. I tried with default security code 12345 but no use. I never change my security code also from the date of purchase of my nokia n8.
