Nokia Nseries :: Belle Refresh = Massive Power Drain On N8?
Oct 25, 2012
problem with the weather widget and Nokia Belle Refresh on N8.It drains the battery in a matter of a few hours Tried with a new battery - made no difference. When App Stop is used to kill the weater widget the problem goes away - TEMPORARY that is, because the &%¤#/& program starts automatically after some time and drains the battery completely!
Batterytime is beyond miserable now Removing the weather widget from the start screen did NOT solve the problem. 100 % certain it's the weather widget's fault. Nokia either needs to provide an update solution quickly or provide a way to completely remove the widget and NOT have it installed again upon connection to Nokia Suite
My N8's product code is 059d954. This pc is not belong to any brand or any operator. Why Belle Refresh Update is not published for this product code? Or when it will be?
Since the Belle Refresh update on N8 I've been having a bug concerning text fields in the browser. When a text field is active and the keyboard is visible, clicking buttons on the screen will make you click other nearby links or buttons instead. For example, if you click Search in my attached image, the "Sign in" link will get clicked instead. That happens on other sites aswell. It also happens if you click on empty space with a link underneath it. As if the touch-screen area moves up a bit when the keyboard appears. Right now I'm using the enter key, but I'm still used to just clicking buttons on the screen.
I'm soon going to update my N8 with Belle Refresh. However I'm very curious about people's experiences with the update so far. Have there been any problems with the phone afterwards? According to Nokia Suite some apps will have trouble after the update.Does anyone know which apps are being affected?
I remember for sure that I used refresh in the music player of Belle FP1 on my 701. It was in options>library>refresh. Now I just couldn't find the same. Where did it go lol.
I have just updated my N8 to belle refresh. Unfortunately, after updating it my N8 home screen is working as before; I can't add any shortcuts or widgets to the home screen BUT I can take out the existing shortcuts and widgets.
I can no longer find the prestigious N8 photo editor and video editor in the menu after Belle refresh. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this what should happen
after updated to my nokia n8 anna version to belle i got succesfull. But i try to clear my ram it ask securuty code. I tried with default security code 12345 but no use. I never change my security code also from the date of purchase of my nokia n8.
I recently upgraded my Nokia C7-00 to Belle Refresh thinking that the update will sort out all the little glitches found in Belle. Only to discover that my C7 slows down to a crawl when the phone check for email or is busy accessing the internet. Also I have noticed that the sleeping screen application seems to be completely out of sync. When I press the menu button it takes a minute or so for sleeping screen to respond and then I have to wait a minute or some until the unlock responds on the device.
Thought I's start ANOTHER thread on this topic as the other one a) had not official response, and b) slipped down the list.
Have now tried all different types of remedy for this fault Re-set at least a dozen times (pressing the power button for 15/20 secs) Factory re-set, then having to re-install all my apps
Still got a massive battery drain fault - Used to get 3 to 4 days out of it before Belle upgrade, now I'm lucky to get a day & a half and I switch the phone off at night when in bed.
What on earth is going on Nokia? Such as shame that a very good phone & platform is letting your long term customers down with such a severe battery drain.
Will be talking to vodafone later this week to get the phone looked at but I will expect the response that the phone will be sent away for testing and I will be without a phone for the duration.
Also, is it correct that by not updating to Belle can invalidate the warranty on the hand set?
Usually work time of my Nokia between charging was 4-5 days. For two days I am really happy if it can keep power 1 day. Is there any known bug in software (I did update of Ovi Store and Opera mini) causing high power consumption or is it common that the battery die after 7-8 moths.
Since updating to Belle on my N8 the battery power has significantly gone down. I use my phone the same way every day. I have turned off the clock screen saver too and still goes down quickly. Before it would last 4 or 5 days, with light use of the camera and internet, now it won't last past 3.
I still can not see the update "Nokia Belle Refresh". I have a Nokia N8-00 from Claro Argentina.According to the official Nokia Argentina now available that version: [URL]
I carged my motoactv to 100% yesterday, took it off charge, havent used it or had it connected to anything. thought id go for a long jog this morning and there is only 20% battery left, i guess you just cant use the device as a normal watch aswell. Keep it turned off untill you need to exorcise or have i just got a dud battery?
I usually watch Netflix in bed then go to sleep. In the last week, I occasionally wake up to find my batter drained (down 80+%) overnight. According to GSAM, the culprit is Android Core Apps. Not sure what that is. I thought maybe Netflix was still downloading, but that's not Android Core Apps.
This is Nexus 6 on 5.1.1 using mobile radio only (no wifi).
Seen massive battery drain with xposed framework or gravity box latest update? I always make a backup before updating so now i'm back at version 2.5.1 Xposed and 3.1.2 on gravity box. Not having battery problem now.
If i update to 2.6.1 xposed and to 3.1.4 GravityBox I have massive battery drain.
Maybe I'm updating in the wrong way. This is how I do:
1.Download and install latest xposed apk. 2.Framework--> Install/Update 3.Reboot.
The Nokia Lumia 900 got BRICKED within a week of getting it....Here is what happened, last night I could not get my phone recharged on time and as I was doing something the phone suddenly froze and died as it had ran out of juice. I left it there in that state for awhile and then plugged into wall...first the bottom three buttons lit up, a white screen, then a big battery showed up with with a bit of red charge, then a nokia page and then finally an att page with the words "rethink possible".....and it shuts off and starts this loop.
I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player. I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked. As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song.
