View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Ray's screen can't be turned on after every screen lock event. Any solution for this? I have reinstall my entire phone through SEUS and the same error is still occuring. Is is firmware problem or hardware problem. I can't believe this is happening as i always keep my phone under good condition and its just 4 months old. Dissapointing purchase.
p.s. The screen can be turned on if u keep trying to press the home button. Usually 8-15 minutes after the phone screen is locked. Face palm much.Is there any temporary solution because i urgently need to use my phone!

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently a Few problems have started playing up on my phone:
Pictures have been going corrupt for an unknown reason, so I repaired using Companion, However, Now my Phone does not turn on, or charge nor pick up Companion- I have tried 5 different batteries and 2 different chargers
I have my Xperia Ray updated to 4.1.B.0.431 just after I bought it, it was working fine at first. However, not knowing when did the problem start, the screen occasionally turns on and off automatically as if I press the power button. The screen turns on and off for exactly 5 times every time and this repeats for like every 10mins. The problem will solve if I restart my phone but the problem comes again whenever it likes. Could this related to any apps (task killer, etc...) I have installed? Or some bugs or something in the system? This could seriously drain my battery flat if the problem left not noticed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy screen keeps turning off every 3 seconds even when using my phone. I tried extending the sleep time but regardless of the time chosen it turns off the screen within 3 seconds. I then turned off Stamina mode and it seems to be fine now. But now my battery will die faster without stamina mode. The long lasting battery is why I chose an Xperia Z3.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI turned off my phone then I put the SIM, after that I turned the phone as usual: Sony Ericsson -> Rogers -> then a blank screen with a white line on the above of the screen...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI connected my phone to my laptop using the usb cable, just wanted to copy pictures etc as per usual. PC companion said there was an update, followed the instructions including holding the back button down while reconnecting the cable. Halfway through updating there was an error, and laptop and phone both froze. Laptop is working now (after force shutting down by taking out the battery), but phone is neither on/off, instead there is just a flashing error signal of an exclamation mark ! inside a triangle, next to a graphic of the phone.I've tried restarting the phone, charging the phone, pressing both the on & home key, and taking out battery and sim card... nothing has worked!

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to disable all the telephony functions of the Xperia Ray and still be able to listen to FM radio ? (to improve battery life)
"Plane mode" is unfortunately not an option as it doesn't allow listening to the radio... (whereas it allows you to connect yourself to a Wi-fi network or to receive GPS signals, for instance) Would be great if there was a widget "Enable/Disable GSM networks" or something like that, as there is for other functions... but I couldn't find such a thing.
My iphone4 screen is all balck when its on and i couldnt see anything on the screen?

So I recently have been having problems with my phone and its screen not turning on. Its the original droid and I guess alot have people have had this problem. But I am at a fork in the road:(this is the thrid time the screen has done this)Last night I went to check my phone and it appeared to be off, my power button does not work so I have to plug it in to turn it on. But the charger light was on so that meant the phone was already on. the buttons lit up still as well. Being this is not the first time I took the battery out for about an hour and put it back in, plugged it in, and still nothing. The M sign that comes up when you first turn it on doesen't appear and neither does anything else on the screen. But when i recieved a call I could answer the call like the screen was working but still was not on. I left the battery out all night from 8pm-6am and still nothing but i can still answer the calls. Left it out until 2 this afternoon and still nothing. I have no idea what to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the update to Lollipop, I have not had much luck with the notifications. I used an app called Dynamic Notifications and it worked awesome. I really liked the feature of turning your screen on to notify you of a new notification. It will not work properly with Lollipop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried switching on the new nokia X6 that I received today. I get a vibration alert and the red-green button illuminates but the screen is blank! I do hear the Nokia booting sound coming through but the screen is blank. I have been charging for the last 1 hour but I still see no response? Why is this happening? Do I wait longer for it to charge? Pointers please.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis has just started happening the last two weeks or so. When I turn the screen off, or when the phone turns the screen off after one minute, it shortly turns back on again. The only thing that will fix this for about two days or so, is a battery pull. Anyone have this issue? I am using Build 862
View 8 Replies View RelatedI dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic piece holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on, the touch screen will not respond, and the sound isn't working. The backlight wont even turn on !
It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files.
And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.
Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !
tl;dr :Replaced iPhone LCD, glass and central plastic piece. iPhone screen worked for a few minutes, then stopped. Now, screen will not work but phone will respond to USB and when I flick the switch to put it in silent.
My screen doesn't turn off, so my face clicks mute and stuff when I put it against my face???

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Iphone 4 keeps turning off /black screen. I plug it in and I get the rebooting screen most of the time. I have had to completely restore it two times in the last week. In between the 2 restores I got the latest hardware upgrade & the latest Itunes version on my computer. I have only had it since June of 2011 and have been told that can't be the battery (the battery is always full when this happens or at least half way full) It has been turning off for the last month off/on. I spoke to verizon and they said it could be an app causing it, although they don't know which one. They had me turn off wi-fi and turn on cellular roaming and I also went in on my own and turned off most of my location services (except find my Iphone)

I got home one afternoon put my phone down went back to it and pressed the home button and it seemed that it turned itself off so I tried turning back on, didn't work so I hooked it up to my laptop tried turning it on again it came on but I got a WHITE screen. So after that I decided to leave it for a bit I went to it after it started working fine...until 4 days later. I was on instagram and all of a sudden the screen starts flickering like crazy and then it turned itself off, I did what i did last time and just left it for a bit it came back on working fine. And then about 2 days ago I was listening to music and the screen froze then started flickering (getting quite annoyed at this stage) and then turned off, this time I tried turning it back on straight away only this time it worked. And that brings us to this morning, i was on facebook and about 5 minutes later it starts flickering and freezing once again and then turned itself off. So i hooked it up to my laptop I then got it to turn on for like 6 seconds then the screen started to dim and turned off. That brings us up to now about 10 minutes ago i tried turning it on, it turned on but I got a PURPLE screen and it just stayed like that until i turned it off.

I did not update to lollipop so that can't be the answer. My screen turns o.n itself when I don't have any notifications. Also, my sound changes itself from silent, to vibrate and ring all by itself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen it is sat in standby and i recieve a text, the screen lights up as usual for a few seconds then dims to turn off again but doesnt turn off, causing my screen to stay on and the phone to run flat in under 4 hours. If I try to use the lock button when this is happening the phone will freeze.
I have also updated to the latest version to try and stop this but it didnt help.
This just recently started happening. On and off over and over. I turn it off, it turns back on.

As of a few days ago, my screen keeps flashing on for maybe a 1/2 second every few minutes or so. I don't think it always happens 24/7, but I've caught it happening a lot. It does eems to happen shortly after a reboot as well. The screen goes off nearly immediately. It definitely doesn't time out and go off after 1 minute, like it would if I manually turned it on.
Perhaps it's an app update gone bad or something else, It doesn't appear to be drastically affecting battery life.
I have the betterbatterystats app and with 5 hours since counters were reset, awake time doesn't appear to be abnormal (it's at 30% right now with 16% screen on time). If I look at partial wakelocks, the largest one is AlarmManager at 13m and 55s. Nothing else is over 4 minutes.
I do have Yahoo Sportacular giving me sports score notifications and K-9 giving me email notifications, but I'm nearly certain that I've caught the screen coming on plenty of times when I didn't have any notification come in.
How can I figure out what's causing my screen to come on by itself rather frequently?
Like I said in the question it won't stop trying to turn off and this isn't the first time this has happen.

I have a 6+ and I wonder if its sheer size is causing the issue.Â
When on a phone call the phone frequently leaves the screen on, or the screen constantly flashes on or off. Consequently I am dialling numbers or trying to do a facetime call whilst on a call or turning it to speaker phone etc.Â
This is very annoying and when talking to clients a little embarrassing.Â
I am on the latest update, and someone mentioned calibrating the compass, this has no effect. Not sure if its related but safari and mail will frequently not turn when I turn the phone.Â
