Feb 2, 2012I was recently on a call when I noticed that I'd lost audio. I'd had the same problem before, but a reboot always fixed it before. This time, a reboot didn't help.After rebooting a second time, I connected my phone to my PC using a USB cable and loaded Samsung PC Studio. (As silly as it may sound, this step fixed my wife's phone several months back when it started to severely lag between keypresses.) No help there, either.I then turned the volume all the way up, started playing a song on my phone, and held my ear up close to the receiver. I could hear a very, very faint sound.
As soon as I slid the phone shut, the speaker went back to full volume.If that were the end of it, I could live with a silly workaround (make call, put call on speakerphone, slide phone shut, take call off speakerphone). But on a recent call, after using the usual workaround, I lost audio even with the phone slid shut.
Samsung tech support walked me through resetting my phone settings to factory defaults (Menu > Settings > (9) Reset Settings > Select "Phone Settings" > OK > Confirm). Still no go. I stopped short of wiping the phone completely because I didn't want to lose my Address Book and because I strongly believe the internal speaker is dying.Whenever the audio has cut in and out, it sounds exactly like a speaker shorting out.
I don't want to get a new phone and extend my contract with AT&T. I don't want to move to another cell phone provider yet (I'm hoping to hold out for when the Galaxy Nexus comes to Sprint then wait for the first price drop), either. I don't want to have to use a Bluetooth headset every time I make or receive a call. (Bluetooth audio works just fine.) And there's no way I can justify paying Samsung $70 to fix a phone I got in 2008.
BB Torch :: 9800 Screen Pixelates When Slid Open?
Aug 5, 2012My blackberry torch 9800 was working perfectly fine untill for some unknown reason the screen went completely pixelated, from then on it appears to be normal until you slide open the phone to use the qwerty keypad, therefore i can only use the phone when it is slided shut and have to rely on the touch screen. the only way to get the screen back to normal is to slide it shut and repeatedly press the lock button until it restores itsself and on multiple occassions i have had to remove the battery for the phone to go back to normal.
does anyone know if this is a software problem? or a maufacture problem? or has it been damaged? and is there anyway to fix it..

Jan 8, 2013I can't open messages on my xperia mini. Its showing me I have 9 unread messages all received over the last few days but when I go into messages it shows nothing. This happened after the battery got low so it turned it self off and then when its recharged it seems to revert back to a date in the past. I have turned on and off, deleted some messages, reset date and time - all make no difference.

May 3, 2011I use text alot to keep in contact with my boyfriend who lives 250 miles away and our conversation had got quite lengthy which has been causing it to freeze lately and sometimes the text app crashes altogether when I open our conversation thread. I really should have deleted the whole conversation once this started to happen but there were a fair few photos and also some audio clips that he had sent me which I wanted to save and hadn't got around to doing yet (I usually just forward any photos etc to my email that I want to save due to the annoying issue of not being able to save MMS content on the Xperia X10 mini) and some lovely texts which I was reluctant to delete.
However, a couple of hours ago when I tried to open our conversation it just wouldn't open, all I am getting is a blank page. There are 5 texts unopened from him tonight and I cannot read them at all, just a blank blue page and I can't see our previous texts back and forth at all. All I want to do is open the conversation so that I can forward the photos I want to keep to my email and then I can go ahead and delete everything so that I don't have the problem of freezing and crashing anymore and so that we are able to text one another again. Does anybody know of any way I may be able to get this conversation open in order to salvage my precious photos before deleting everything? I really am reluctant to just go ahead and delete the entire conversation before I can work out a way to save these pictures but obviously I realise that if this turns out to be impossible then I will have no choice but to lose the photos. I'm kicking myself now for not saving the photos as soon as I received them and the originals have been deleted from my boyfriends phone as soon as he sent them. I've tried shutting down the phone and turning it on again, I've tried deleting other conversations to see if that helped, I've even tried plugging the phone into my laptop via USB to see if I can access the texts that way but I'm not even sure if that is possible. Has anyone ever had just a blank blue page come up when trying to open a conversation or knows how to get it open without deleting the entire thing?

And i have to take out the battery and insert again for it to function properly. I am in Pakistan so i cant take it to any Sony franchise.. Jul 11, 2011I've just purchase the X10 mini pro. Really impressed with it so far. However, when i try and open 'Office Suite' which was pre-installed on the phone it tells me there is an update availalbe and to continue i need to download this. When i select the 'update' button, the process begins but after a few seconds i get an error message saying 'installation failed'. I've had no problems opening any of the other pre-installed apps, and have downloaded some from Android Market with no problems.

My old phone,an HTC DNA, had to be precisely placed in the same counterintuitive position (up and to the left) for the Nokia DT-900 white charging light to blink and DNA green fully charged light to go off at 100%. The phone would no longer charge and therefore cool down.
Unfortunately, I now wake up with my S6 charging light on as well as the constant white charging light on the DT-900. Need exact alignment that allows for the charger and phone to stop charging at 100% and have the indicator lights work properly?
The S6 doesn't get nearly as hot as the DNA on constant charge. However, I figure it would be a little better if the charger just shut off when done.

Apr 2, 2010I have a Sprint Mogul. It's running on Boost CDMA so I have no support. The touch screen has been working fine, but suddenly got way out of alignment. The alignment is totally random. On the touchscreen keyboard some keys are right on. and some off to the left and just a few off to the right. Screen alignment just keeps trying and I have to reboot. Is this a bad touchscreen, or is it possibly software?

Dec 3, 2010a few days ago I bought my SE X10 mini pro.I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%
A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication.Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again.I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart.I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help.I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible.I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery.So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full...
