Regarding the gallery for every time we need to go to application manager in settings, clear cache. is there any permanent solution to see the files in gallery directly and how can i upgrade my android 2.3 to 3.2 or 4 version.

My OS is windows XP and I have tried both PC companion and SE Update service for the upgrade. When it comes to the part where I have to "turn off the phone...wait for 5 or 30 secs, connect the cables etc then press the back button while inserting the microUSB into the phone"....then nothing happens. My computer just freezes after a few minutes with nothing indicating on the screen that something...anything is going on. I have tried this several times and for several days already.

Any idea what could have caused this and how to fix it? I won't be able to share photos, videos since I can't view them whenever my WIFI is on.
Also, my Android Market App where you tick going to the Android Market site is not working. It just says loading. Of course this is with my WIFI on.
Im using an Xperia mini pro which I bought a month ago. It's been woking fine till yesterday. From today morning I cant see anything in the gallary. Its just blank with a blured background. It shows "loading files and albums" then nothing happens. It has an SD card (sandisk 4GB). I checked by connecting to laptop. The files are intact. The music player works fine and it plays music from the SD card. But nothing shows up in the gallery. Tried clearing gallery cache and data from application manager. Restarted the phone several times but no hope. All the files can be seen when the phone is connected to the laptop.
