Jul 4, 2012Widgets all suddenly disappeared when unlocking the phone randomly? This has happened twice to me know on my Z5.

Nokia :: Widgets Keep Disappearing
Jan 20, 2010I've had some fun with the phone lately, in that I've re-flashed it a few times. The SW Version was unknown after updating to 51 OTA, then flashed with Global, then back to UK and then updated to 51 OTA again (as can't download 51 UK yet).
Now noticing that the Widgets have a habit of randomly disappearing off my desktop, so I have to re-add them. Not sure what causes it or why,

Dec 11, 2015I'm stock unrooted and still waiting for the 6.0.1 update.
Starting yesterday, all of my widgets began just disappearing. I put them back, and and later in the day they're gone again. Three of them on two different home screens.

Jun 15, 2011I've noticed that since the Gingerbread update, occasionally (perhaps three or four times over the past week or two) a stock widget or two disappears from my home (or other) screen. This never happened with Froyo. This morning my stock Bluetooth widget was gone and I had to reinstall it. I am almost religious about pressing the Power button while on my home page to blank the screen before placing my phone in its holster. That has always prevented inadvertent button presses on the screen.

This happens a billion times a day and its annoying because then it calls people or it opens apps and I just want to know how to fix that I've already tried looking for something in settings but I've found nothing.

Sep 13, 2015I have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.
I am on a Nexus 6 on the T-Mo network. Currently running OS 5.1.1, build LYZ28J.

Dec 4, 2015I'm using a LG G3 (LG D858HK) running Android 5.0.1. I'm saving my contacts to Google. Every now and then, some newly created contact info goes missing but I could find the telephone no in phone's call log as a unsaved number. If you check the Google Contacts, this particular contact is not there.

Apr 17, 2015My Galaxy S6 has been great except for one huge problem I've noticed. Random text messages disappear. And they don't just disappear inconspicuously.. they disappear AS I'M READING THEM.
I will get a message, open up the messaging app, start reading it, get halfway through it, and BAM, the message vanishes and it never comes back.
Restarting the phone doesn't bring it back, it's just gone. I know that some messages disappear because I SEE them disappear, but what gets me is how many messages have a missed that have been sent, and my phone just makes them vanish before I read or even notice them?

HTC One M8 :: Email Randomly Disappearing From Stock Mail Client?
Oct 15, 2014I have recently purchased myself and another of my colleagues an HTC One M8. We also have another colleague who has had an M8 for some time.
The two new devices I setup as ExchangeActiveSync accounts on the stock mail client. The other user has set his up as IMAP/SMTP. As a company we use office365 for our email solution.
Here is an example of the issues I am having:
This morning I received 11 emails, they all came into the inbox fine, I then received a 12th email. At this point the previous 11 emails were removed from the inbox. However all these email still remained on the server. It doesn't seem to have any pattern, it could be the first or the 20th email I receive and it doesn't always remove all the previous emails. It could just be the last 4 or 5. The Sync period was set to 30 days.
The other user who has the IMAP setting says he experiences the same issue and always has done.
I have tried other mail clients on the phone and they seemed to work, I also have the same account on a Google Nexus which works without issue.

Aug 18, 2011I've got an E7 phone which is synchronized to my Exchange 2003/Outlook 2010 email account. Since I got this phone, I've had problems on multiple occasions with contacts simply disappearing - they are suddenly gone from both my phone and my Outlook account. I have a lot of contacts in my address book that I don't use regularly, so it's hard to know just how widespread the problem is. But three or four times over the last few months, a very important contact has disappeared, along with all the notes and information that I'd added.

Jun 1, 2012I found another error in ICS update.Sometimes, when I start my phone, some widgets won't load. May be, it's because of SDCARD storage was used. All of them are stored on SDCARD, but in Android 2.3.4 (GB) there was no error, no problem.

Jun 13, 2012I've have some unresolvable issue with two Sony widgets: "picture frame" and "photos and videos". First one lost 2x2 size and can be applied 3x3 only. Still there are "picture frame" two widgets are running since 2.3.4 android in 2x2 size. I can remove them but won't add anymore in needed size. Same with "photos and videos". I've got 2x2 one after upgrading to ICS. Wasn't up to rearange my desktops and faced that removing 2x2 was a big mistake. There is 3x3 only can be placed. "Clear date" didn't help. I'm pretty sure that both widgets can be placed in smaller 2x2 size. But OS doesn't offer that chois anymore.

Aug 29, 2014Did my software update the other day and apart from noticing the battery tends to run out quicker than previously, I have a new issue.
Put my phone onto charge last night with phone turned off. Don't normally do that but kept getting FB notifications. Turned phone on this morning and noticed several widgets missing from my home screen. There are gaps where widgets were but now they are missing. They are still on the phone as they're visible on the other screen where all my apps are.

Nov 5, 2015I had to do some bug hunting, and found out that after reboot from safe mode pinned widgets (here: Sony calendar, Sony Gallery, WeatherPro) were gone, and dropbox account was deleted. I've read in this forum, the phone (Z5P, btw.) will return into normal operation mode after reboot, but this is not the case.

But one thing that is really annoying is that it is all too easy to accidently go into the arrange icons mode by mistake without even realising it. Jun 18, 2010I have had a problem for last couple of weeks - When I got the phone (around 2mths ago), I created all my main contacts, added their names, numbers and email addresses. So, at least a month goes by, but then one or two contacts start losing their phone numbers (the name and email address remains). I have tried everything from simply entering and saving the number again via the phonebook and even adding the number from text messages sent by the person in question - each time I have ensured that I have clicked 'done' and/or the save symbol. I exit the phonebook, but if I check back later it's been lost again.
This seems to happen with only one or two particular contacts - I am not sure what is unique about them.
I have read the manual re: phonebook, so I am following all of the steps so I am not sure whether or not the phone has a fault.
