Theres a problem after some time after reboot, and the solution is to reboot your phone. The impacted area of the touchscreen is the back stage of the whatsapp app. And in camera the section of the reverse camera.
View 10 RepliesI was loving the phone tll the screen started to freeze black during call. I tried all the buttons with no joy and the screen remained black after call. I had to remove the battery to reboot, this reset my time and date to 1980!
I've got to try using my phone for work today, old spare being repaired. I can't even hang up a call.
I started the "critical update" that popped up on my phone earlier today at about 12pm via the Desktop Manager (up to date).. Now it's almost 4pm and I've spent 3 and a half hours waiting for progress, scared to "disconnect the device or interrupt the process" for fear of my phone becoming "unstable" as the update window stated.I have included an image to prove the time frame (backed up device at 11:50, still waiting at 3:40.)There has been no change since the reboot stage began, about 20 minutes into the update, which was surprisingly quick.My phone has restored to factory settings, and I'm scared to do anymore than look at it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was having issues with my trackpad -- and this thread said to do a clean reload. So I did, and left it going overnight. When I came back to it in the morning, it said it couldn't connect to the device, and that it might require a password.
I don't have a password set, so I clicked retry. I got the same message an hour later. The progress bar looks like it has about 80% left to go.
The phone has been reset to factory defalt, so I'm worried I've lost all my files. I did a few backups before staring, but I have no idea how to restore it myself, and if I should interupt the process.
I've got a curve 8520 and earlier today it was playing up and so I decided to re-boot it by taking the battery out. It seemed normal and I'd left it for a while but when I came back to it, the re-boot hadn't gone past about 2/3 of the way. I've tried several different things, plugging it into the computer, and the wall, and also taken the battery out several more times and each time it still doesn't go past 2/3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe following has been happening since before the latest update, and continued after.My phone will randomly reboot itself (there doesn't seem to be any correlation with what I'm doing) and then hang at the rotating red logo.If I push the power button the display will turn off, but after that no buttons have any effects.If I plug the phone in the display comes back on to the unlock screen, but the touch screen is also unresponsive.The phone is definitely still running though, as my bluetooth headset will reconnect and time-based notifications will still happen (I have the phone set to beep every half hour).If I leave the phone sitting for a significant length of time I will notice it getting warm, and it will eventually reboot again and behave normally.Battery pull does nothing.Wiping the cache partition does nothing.I've done a factory reset before, and this makes the problem go away for a while, but it comes back.

I love the phone i just want to forget this whole restore thing didn't happen

I am having an issue where the touch screen seems to be unresponsive for a short time after unlock. For instance, if I unlock the phone via fingerprint, pattern, or slide the first touch doesn't respond and I have to tap whatever app or item I am trying to use. I'm using Cataclysm ROM with the most recent ElementalX kernel. Maybe it's a ROM/Kernel thing and I should try stock but just wanted to ask here.

It gets to a point that I can use the phone, but within a few minutes, it crashes and boots up again. Usually pulling the battery fixes it, but not always. A similar issue is the screen going blank. Not sure it's crashed or just a video issue, but the only way to get it back on is to pull the batteryAlso, as the unit is stuck at 2.1 for ever, so can not use the memory card to install apps, and can't uninstall the old apps, is there a recommended minimum of available phone memory? Now, when i press the "Home" key of the phone, the screen comes alive with keypad for punching-in the password but the touchscreen is not responding so i am not able to punch-in the password. I am getting calls on my cell phone but i cannot receive the calls since I cannot slide the "green" button on screen to right (which is the usual way to receive the calls). However, on the bigger time and date that "floats" on the touch screen it is still reading 9:43am with yesterday's date which is the 29th of sept. Then when i want to change my phone setting to either vibrate or silent....again, the smaller notification is correct but the big setting that "floats" on screen keeps telling me its on vibrate when i try to change it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the past couple of days, I am having trouble with the touchscreen on my Neo V. It does not respond as well as it did before. For instance, the slide unlock takes 3 times to slide before actually unlocking. The upper notifications bar does not get pulled down easily. And while scrolling, I end up opening something appearing on the screen wherever the finger is touching while scrolling. All this did not happen before. I performed a system test as well, which does not really show any problem with the touchscreen. Restarting the phone did not help either. What could be the issue then?

Tried all of the usual things, recharging, leaving the battery out etc. In the end I used the repair tool which installed ICS, and that actually worked for about two days, but the same problem just came back.
