I purchased a Xperia Z5 this week, but whenever I start it up, the Retail Demo is on. I can remove it from the Device Manager function. But it constantly turns back on, I've tried turning it off through various external apps. The last move I can think of is rooting it, but I don't want to lose all the proprietary stuff that allows me to connect to the PlayStation and the improvements on the Camera.I tried using the IMSI-code I've found but it says "Phone is for store use ONLY, Demo mode can't be turned off."
So I have the following problem. I am using Lumia 1020 for the past 6 months (give or take) and unfortunately my job ended today, so I had to return the SIM card I got from them, but was able to keep the phone.
I already have a new postpaid SIM, but this time from a different carrier. The SIM is not yet active (it usually take around 1-2 days). I put the card in the phone and start it up. A demo mode is enabled and it seems I can't get rid of it, there is also no "Reset phone" under "About" in Settings.
After Lollipop goes we have UltraStamina mode. So I have a problem with this mode.In normal mode I turn off some applications (like Google+, Social etc). I don't need them. After I use Ultra Stamina mode, then to come back in Normal mode I need to reboot my phone. But after rebooting that list of turned-off apps is wiped. So it's unnormal I must again turn-off manually every unused app.
Is there any way to get rid of those friggin demo games and apps? I don't want any of those games, and I even don't want RoadSync and a lot of other preinstalled apps. I have to say that the X10 mini pro is just as cluttered with pre-installed crapware like any Vaio computer; only there, I can just install my own Linux desktop and get rid of that stuff easily.
I am unable to use a particular Airtel 128k Demo Sim Card in Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V phone. However, a different number Airtel 128k Demo Sim Card is working. Airtel says that the phone supports only particular frequencies of 128k Sim Card. Is this a bug in the phone?
I just did a hard reset (battery removal) on my Storm2 9550. When it finished booting, I started up the Desktop Software and connected the phone via USB. I got the following message:
This Blackberry device is using an MTP connection. Some media features require mass storage mode for your device, which will interrupt any active media transfer protocol (MTP) connections. Do you want to switch to mass storage mode?
I'm not sure exactly what this means or if I should answer 'Yes' or 'No'. (I didn't have any luck searching for that particular message online).
"keep wifi on during sleep" is set to "only when plugged in" - it worked like a charm in lollipop (it switched off wifi after some seconds of disactivity), it doesn't now.
In lollipop after some seconds of inactivity wifi was turned off, that was proper behavior I guess... It is not working in Marshmallow.
I charge the blackberrry battery up to 50%, then I unplug the charger then I turn it off. When I sleep, the battery drains so fast, I don't know what's happening, then my battery completely low, so I can't turn on the device.
I turned my phone off and now it wont turn on. I tried to reset and nothing happened. I have also tried to force it into recovery mode and the screen is still just blank.
I used Ultra Power Saving Mode last night for about an hour. When I reverted back from that about half of my icons were missing including my stock Voicemail, YouTube, Yahoo Mail, all my games...etc.
Looked a little further into it this morning on Application Manager and the apps are still present on the phone and installed, but "Turned Off". If I tap on them, some have a button that says "Enable" (which appears to be all the pre-loaded apps that came with the phone) but most of them don't.
I've used Ultra Power Saving Mode as recent as two weeks ago with no problem.
I'm spending the day with a deaf friend of mine, and she really wants to try a sign language conversation over Face Time. She reached out on her facebook, but none of her signing friends seem to have the iPhone 4 yet. Is there anybody here she can try it out with?
2k Video Demo. Why does display dim when playing the demo 2k video? Also awesome screen but i noticed on some apps like instagram or fb depending on some peopes picture quality this screen is not forgiving as it enhances the bad qualit of other users pictures . instagram and fb would look better on my note 3 ..
i have a s6 demo unit G920x.i want to install custom recovery twrp but when i do (twrp-2.8.7.1-zeroflte.img.tar) via odin the phone doesnt go any futher than the samsung boot screen (even when i hold the volume up, power and home button)
i managed to go back to the original recover with CF auto root (CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltedv-smg920i.tar.md5), but when i boot the recovery up, i cant wipe the phone because it is a demo unit (mdm does not allow factory reset).on the end of the recovery there are also two yellow lines saying '''dm-verity verification failed...'' and ''Need to check DRK first...)
So, how to get the custom recovery working so i can install a new rom through the recovery, or official firmware for the demo unit.
my iphone 3g died yesterday(bacame greyer and greyer untill it turned off) and since then i can't get it to turn on or connect to iTunes.#my iphone's power button is broken.

how to delete some demo games as well as bundle games in asha 311? I tried deleting it in the files folder but it says can't delete due to system files. No provision for deletion for the built in games. Somefree trial games have already expired and want to delete it to free some memory space.
Anyone else notice that the iPhone Steve was using for the demo has the leopard style dock? I really hope that it doesn't make it into the final build. I think the current dock looks 10x better!
I traded in my droid maxx and tonight while disabling some apps I noticed under apps, all. That there is a demo app. I never saw it on my maxx. The disabled was grayed out so I forced stopped it. When the rep brought it out at the store it was a new unit sealed.
If I connect the phone to my computer in the MSC mode, I have access to it via Windows Explorer etc., so e.g. I can load music onto my phone, but I cannot install Apps. If I try to do so in the MSC mode, Google Play tells me that the download of the app will start soon, but then nothing happens. If I connect the XPeria in the MTP mode, nothing happens except that my computer utters the first tone of the "USB connected"-signal three times. In the MTP mode the Sony PC companion also tells me that itīs not possible to connect the phone.I reinstalled the PC Companion, restarted my computer and my phone but nothing changed. Is there any possibility to install Apps in the MSC mode? If not, how can I make the MTP mode work again?
Like the thread title suggests, I'm wondering if you go into an Apple store next week to preorder, if they'll have demonstrator units available so customers can check them out before plunking down their orders. Specifically for myself, and I know many other MR-ites are interested to know how they look in person, in part to determine what color to select.
Anybody know what they've done in the past, like for the 3G launch, for example?
How can i flash a stock rom on a Live Demo Unit S6 Edge. Is there any way to get rid of that Retail Mode ?
I like to use this Phone like a Tablet so wifi is okay i just need to get rid of this retail mode. I now there are many Threads here but i just want a yes or a no.
Is it possible to flash a stock rom ? Is there any way to delete the Retail Mode ? Are there allready custom roms ?
I sometimes experience heavy echo.Often, it's when I call my mom's verizon land-line; her cordless phone is connected to a medical alert "fallen-can't-get-up" device so I kind assumed it was related to that.Recently, however, I've had sporadic echo talking to other users.
Just now I turned off noise suppression and turned on call clarity enhancement. However, it occurs to me that since I have another LG G4 on my account and also a samsung, I should do some comparisons between the phones to make sure it's not my phone.
I am the owner of a Sony EricksonE w580i which I am very happy with. However 2 days ago, out of the blue after sending a text I was faced with the message which I had never seen before. " REPLACE SIM OR WATCH DEMO" Despite playing the demo several times and taking out and replacing the sim several times, I was faced with the fact that my phone was locked. On replacing the sim I noticed that it was pushed into position by the battery itself, thats the way it had been set up by the Orange Shop. so it was like on a spring and the battery was pushing it into its working position. And this is the root of the problem. The sim card has to be pushed home until it clicks into position. I have small fingers and I still could not push it to its fully seated and clicked position with my fingers alone.eventually I managed to do it using the edge of a small screwdriver, but even then it took several tries before it clicked home. I believe this is a flawed design as it is not easy to do by any means. And yet using the battery to push the sim to the seated position is the way it was et up for me at point of purchase and this also gave adequate contact for me to get uninterrupted use for several months. But this is NOT correct, the Sim must be clicked and locked into position so it is no longer movable on the spring mechanism.Once it was clicked home - Hey presto ! like magic, everything worked perfectly, only had to reset the date. However, and quite worryingly, when I called the Sony Erickson help line befor I found the magic solution, I was advised that to overcome the locked system and to bypass the dreaded message, I needed to go to the Sony Erickson site, go to support and downloads then click on Update your product software/Update Service. My friendly support advisor said this would overcome the problem but the downside would be that I would lose all my memory ! I would have to start again, Calender, Tasks, Notes, Contacts. everything. This would have been a heavy price to pay, for a non solution ! Clearly the advice was a shot in the dark from the advisor ! I had already downloaded said updates as a matter of course 2 months ago so I was sceptical of solution that SE had suggested. No, this problem is mechanical/circuitry. NOT SOFTWARE !
The sim card is not locked home unless clicked, do not depend on battery pressure. Thus the phone when in "battery pressure mode" may have a circuit or a partial circuit, leaving the user at best to be in my situation to get several months of usage, and then kaputt ! as the circuit is lost and the phone thinks it needs re setting up. and it gives the message you can not get past. or the worst case of continual working /non working scenarios, which are linked to the partial contact and partial circuit.I think this may also be the route cause behind many other of the problems raised on this forum, ie; Phones turning off, or just a red light, or just a slight vibration, or phone behaving like it's dead, or phone locked etc.(from other posts it appears all the above issues are are further "encouraged" by a low battery charge) which seems to be a separate quality issue altogether. So at the end of this ramble - the tip is make absolutely sure the sim card is locked home, be patient, you may have to try many times, but it will click home if you use a tool to assist you, (fingers are not enough) and you may well just solve your problems too.Essentially I think the phone is a very good mid range phone and this design fault may be hugely tainting its performance /likability.If Sony Erickson are listening? they will correct / make easier the sim card clicking action, They will also instruct the help desk to give out the "clicking the SIM card home" advice.Rather than the totally useless - download software advice which will do nothing to create a good circuit, but will ensure lose all your information unless backed up somewhere. And while SE are at it they should also re work the battery life AND the cover panel removal. To get the back panel off is a nightmare and can lead to creating other damage as such excessive forces are required. Not good at all - BAD COVER DESIGN
couple of weeks agao the stupid thing switched itself onto flight mode i did a seus update all has been fine untill yesterday the battery was charge but it turned itself off anyway and now it wont come back on all im getting is a red flashing light! Iv'e tried everything i took the battery out for an hour put it back in tried to charge it left it on charge for a couple of hours nothing.Iv'e tried to re-update it but it wont recgonise being plugged in to the computer.
Whenever I take a photo and then either exit it (the camera) or tap onto the photo I have just taken, the camera makes this small click sound. It's quite annoying actually. I was wondering whether it's just my Ray or whether it's a norm?
