How can i flash a stock rom on a Live Demo Unit S6 Edge. Is there any way to get rid of that Retail Mode ?
I like to use this Phone like a Tablet so wifi is okay i just need to get rid of this retail mode. I now there are many Threads here but i just want a yes or a no.
Is it possible to flash a stock rom ? Is there any way to delete the Retail Mode ? Are there allready custom roms ?
i have a s6 demo unit G920x.i want to install custom recovery twrp but when i do (twrp-2.8.7.1-zeroflte.img.tar) via odin the phone doesnt go any futher than the samsung boot screen (even when i hold the volume up, power and home button)
i managed to go back to the original recover with CF auto root (CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltedv-smg920i.tar.md5), but when i boot the recovery up, i cant wipe the phone because it is a demo unit (mdm does not allow factory reset).on the end of the recovery there are also two yellow lines saying '''dm-verity verification failed...'' and ''Need to check DRK first...)
So, how to get the custom recovery working so i can install a new rom through the recovery, or official firmware for the demo unit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI root my S6 without trigering knox. But I know if I install custom recovery that will triger knox. So is it possible to install custom rom with stock recovery? Do I have to rename rom zip file as update.zip? Will that triger knox?
I am on 5.0.2 not 5.1.1 yet.
I flashed to 5.1.1 T-Mobile when it came out, then learned it was a leak and wasn't ready for release yet. Unsurprisingly I'm having issues with System crashing, etc. I tried to flash back to 5.0.2 and I end up in a bootloop.
I'm stuck! The only ROM that seems to work now is 5.1.1, all others get me stuck in a bootloop in which I must use TWRP to flash back to 5.1.1. How to be able to go back to a stable 5.0.2!
I see that when i use odin to restore i used this to see if it will get rid of lags or not .... I started a thread about the lag i am facing but apparently odin does not format the device my only hope to get this device running smoothly is this method ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyway as usual I don't do lot of research (I'm stupid I guess), so first I flash CF-Auto-Root via Odin and... surprise phone is stuck on boot logo, so I don't panic too much , I install TWRP via Odin and everything is ok, then I download a stock firmware 3483.1 MB and try to flash it via odin but oh surprise, it fails, on the phone screen say

Some reason a monster energy wallpaper from zedge somehow turned into a splash screen that won't go back to stock even after Odin flash stock multiple times .It was only a wallpaper at that point now after Samsung boot then the monster energy logo then the t-mobile boot screen.Everything works fine just can't get rid of it even after multiple Odin flash to stock and factory resets

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have SOL25 ( ZL2 ) and when i bought it it had a rom ( D6563 ) which is Z2a rom i think so i put the sim unlock pin and i wanted to flash the SOL25 rom using flashtool but with no luck, i get error, i flashed back ( d6563 ) and it is working for now
1. Is there a side effect for keeping D6563 rom ?
2. SOL25 is supposed to be 32 gb but i only get 11gb, is it cause the rom is not the stock one ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI switched from my s4 to the s6 and I am having bluetooth complications with my pioneer avh p4400 headunit. I did some google-ing around and found that a a few others are having the same problem but seeing as the phone came out a few days ago not everyone is inquiring about it. Bluetooth audio does not auto connect/play like it did on the s4 and there is no song info/description displayed which then renders the track skipping buttons useless on the headunit. I found an app to fix the auto connect issue at least.
I am using Google play music so this is kind of unusual. I am not sure if it is an s6 only issue having something to do with the new touchwiz or if android 5.0 is using different bluetooth protocols than prior. Everything is updated to the latest firmware. I was debating on upgrading to the 4100nex but if this issue is going to be present there also I would rather not have an extra expensive paperweight.
Is it possible to unlock bootloader, root, flash twrp and somehow flash the stock rom? If yes, where can I get the rom files for flashing with twrp?

I have a Sony bluetooth head unit in my car which acts as my hands free and the added bonus of connecting to my music on my phone thus having no need to change CD's or have your friend be a DJ next to you. This worked perfectly with my previous Sony Ericsson W995 phone however now I have the GSII these two things happen: -
1) I might be imagining it but I think I hear crackling in the music when playing over the bluetooth, might just be my speakers but can't remember conciously hearing and noting this to myself on my old phone and when my mate connects his 3GS iPhone to it there doesn't seem to be this problem?
2) There are definite, noteworthy interruptions in the playback over the sound system however the music hasn't been paused on the phone and so I miss bits of the songs! This is both unusual and annoying as you can imagine!

View 2 Replies View RelatedThere are a few live streams I like to watch daily but what I've noticed since getting my S6 is that the stream works when on wifi but will not work if I'm not connected to wifi. Unfortunately a lot of time I don't have wifi available but I still want the stream - I have a great data plan so no concerns there. I have a feeling it must be some sort of data saving default that's put in there which says don't stream unless there is a wifi network available. Is there a way to turn this off so that I can stream live video without wifi?

Well once you click on the live stream icon in the camera it asks you to sign into youtube, which I do and then the darn youtube window/app comes up on the camera and it prevents you from starting the live stream. How do you close out the youtube window once you sign in for the live stream on the camera app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to play a live news(Atlanta TV station) streaming YouTube video on my S6.
It would play on the YouTube app on the S6. I've tried everything I can think of, including restoring the entire phone twice.
The same video can be played just fine on my old Note 2, Note 4, Galaxy Tab S tablet, as well as my Macbook Pro.
The only way to transfer contacts, as far as I've read, is that i have to import my contacts into my gmail account. I don't want to use my gmail account to hold all my contacts because I used Outlook.com for emails. If i were to ever make a new contact on my phone, it then wouldn't sync with my windows live acct. Am I missing something?I should just be able to hook up my email on my phone and have it sync everything, not just email
