View 9 RepliesThe drag down quick settings menu has disappeared from my Z3. Dragging down from the top with 2 fingers does not bring the menu down. Neither can I use the notifications at the top right to access the menu. However, I get to the sounds setting panel by using the volume button.
Tried this:Settings > personalization > Quick settings
but I do not see Quick Settings option.
I am experiencing the following behavior in my Xperia:
It is important to notice that I didn't removed such icons, because IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. When you remove/insert icons on this panel, they auto arrange in this screen. So it is not possible to leave the screen with these "holes".
This happens when I switch users in the phone. The guest user does not have the same icons than the proprietary, so when I switch back, my icons are not restored. To workaround I have to edit this menu and move any icon, or restart the phone.
my nokia x7 lost ovi store after format by camera+menu+power+sound down and i cant install it again because the phone said its unable to install?

View 9 Replies View RelatedEver since Lollipop upgrade I see many issues with my Xperia Z2. But most of all that makes me mad is that the upgrade changed my notification sounds I had customized. not only that now I can not select my favorite sounds for specific notification. can only get sounds and ringtones that are on Lollipop by default.

My device: Xperia Z3 Dual, Android Lollipop 5.1.1 .
I've just upgraded to the Galaxy S5 (I've defected from the 'other side'!) and updated the OS to Lollipop. There's apparently a new feature which allows you to access things like the flash light, wifi etc from the lock screen (Screen shot below). But I'm swiping down on the lock screen and nothings happening. Is this something that needs turning on in settings somewhere? I've been hunting round on the net and whiles there's plenty of articles covering the new feature, theres nothing on how to enable it.....if it needs enabling.
View 1 Replies View Relatedas you know within any screen on the phone when you press and hold the Blackberry button for less than 2 seconds it will bring up a "quick menu". Some icons are ALWAYS listed under this "quick menu" whether they are closed or not, such as BB messenger, Browser etc. Is there any way I can add or remove icons in this quick menu?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne thing that I miss from CyanogenMod is the ability to add things to the quick settings menu. Is there an app available that will allow you to modify the quick settings menu on stock Android? My phone is rooted so but otherwise it's stock. I don't miss the instability of CyanogenMod, just that one feature, so I don't want to install a custom ROM, I just want to add a couple of things to the quick settings menu.
View 8 Replies View RelatedProblem with the N97...Basically, ever since i have had my phone back from Nokia Care.
Regardless of whether you launch Ovi from the quick launch type thing on the homescreen or on the menu, it doesn't work.
If you attempt to click on the icon on the homescreen, nothing happens.
If you click on it on the menu screen, the clock in the top right corner flickers and nothing happens.
I can't bear another hard reset, but i guess if i have to i will, any ideas?
After updating to ICS, the album pictures were almost lost. Only a few songs have album pics even though I deleted the songs and replaced them, the pictures just couldn't be shown...

I updated my mini pro yesterday night. Overall response is fast.Camera application is looking weird with limited functions. The 2.3.4 version of camera application shoots better pictures than the updated camera application. Camera window opens and shows up the visuals as if they are zoomed in by default despite not using zoom in feature.I'm disappointed with this update of camera functions.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBack in my early Android days I had an app that allowed you to set complex scripts to run based on certain events. Much of the functionality has been incorporated into the OS now, but there's one thing that I can't do - it's basically a secondary DND "lite." I want to set a schedule to silence the phone ringer only. For example, from 8-4 AM I don't want to hear my ringer, but I want to hear notifications and texts (actually, I don't want people on the other end of my various conference calls to hear my ringtone.) I already have DND set up at nighttime, so is there any way I can accomplish this either natively in the OS or with an app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI haven't had any issues with my Verizon Galaxy s5 until after updating to Lollipop 5.0. The default/pre-installed music player crashes very often. It won't start playing until pressing play a number of times, once it finally does play it will stop after the song has finished, if I try to skip a song it will usually crash once I hit the skip button but if I get lucky it will let me skip 4 or 5 songs before giving me the "Unfortunately, Music has stopped" error message.
It does crash sometimes mid song. I'm not sure what the issue is, as I said I haven't had a problem like this before updating. I will also randomly get an error message saying that Contacts has stopped working, which I have seen others report happening, but I haven't seen anything about the music player crashing. I have a 128GB sd card but I don't think that's the issue. Everything has worked fine until this update. Attached is a screenshot of the blank music player after I receive the error message ...
I just tryed updating to lollipop on my stock s5 and now it stuck in a boot loop is there anyway I could save my pictures on my device or get it out of this loop?

I have spent ages to get it going but no success,I am getting into Gmail through the Browser. But I like the original Gmail app. The last resort is to hard factory reset and I am hoping it would solve the problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot stand Lollipop, so I returned my phone to Motorola and received one that has KitKat on it. If I can turn off auto-updating of the OS, I will be good to go. I do not want to root the phone as that will mess up my warranty and insurance. If I cannot avoid Lollipop, I will get an Iphone or go back to a flip phone. Lollipop is the worst user interface ever. It is like the "New Coke". You cannot turn the phone to silent with the VOLUME button, how counterintuitive is that!? Also I don't want to see every update on the locked screen, the little pictures are fine. However with Lollipop, it is all the alerts or none at all.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince I've updated my S5 a month ago (now Android version 5.0) it keeps restarting unexpectantly. At first I thought these restarts were random but 'I've noticed it happens only when my connection to my network provider is lost (f.i. if I step into an elevator). When my network connection is good I've not noticed any problems.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWith my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust noticed that sounds will start out at a low volume for first 2 seconds then jump to normal volume thereafter. It is easily reproduced by choosing ringtone sound and previewing or setting countdown timer in the clock app and listening to the expiration alarm. Checked sound and notification settings and didn't see any choice for turning a feature like this on or off.
Running Verizon L 22.21.11
The next day, after installing Lollipop 5.0, my alarm did not sound. It went off, but since I keep my phone on silent, it made no noise. It's never done this. I've always left my phone on silent through the night, and my alarm has always went off, nice and loud, waking me up. Not so, since installing Lollypop 5.0. I've smile some experimenting and it works fine in vibrate, so this will have to suffice until a fix is found. I did speak to a Samsung rep at Best Buy yesterday and he told me that they are pulling Lollypop 5.0 and coming out with 5.0.1
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm super confused regarding the new way sounds, vibration, muting, and notifications are handled in Lollipop.
For instance, I just found out that to get LED notifications, I have to have vibration or sound turned on. No LED notifications on mute/silent? Are they serious? There seems to be no way to get a notification now without having my phone vibrating or making noise on my desk at work, which means I'm either annoying my coworkers or not getting notifications. It seemed that if I want to disable vibration and still get LED alerts, I need to go into every app and disable it there, which is totally counterintuitive—I used to be able to control this by pressing the volume button on the side of the phone.
Not only that, but I currently have vibration turned on so that I can get LED alerts, and I unchecked vibration in Hangouts for both Hangouts messages and SMS messages, and it's still vibrating. Is there any way at all to get LED notifications without vibration?
I got my 9900 in October, 2011. Sometimes when I use it, the pointer always points the upside of the page even though I choose the bottom option. and it totally loses control.
