I suddenly got a problem with camera. The trigger button on the screen disappears. Then when I look closely, the display (not ths camera preview, but the whole interface of the camera) is magnified. Which means that the trigger button is located somewhere outside the screen. And the side menu only shows 2 icons with another 1 only partially shown on the border. I have tried clearing the cache, restart, etc with no avail.

on the first day i tested the camera, which worked just fine.But 3 or 4 days later, the camera suddenly stopped working. When i open any camera app, and i really mean any, the display shows me a blurry, wrong colored image, and when i press the button to take the picture, the shutter sound sounds, the display turns black, the app freezes and the picture is not saved.I have repaired the update several times, through PC Companion and Service Update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI love my new M8. I previously had the HTC One S, and when in camera mode, you had a camera OR video button at the same time.
On the M8, I see this setup for my front facing camera, but on the rear facing, I have to keep going into the menu and selecting one or another. I frequently flip back and forth, and it's soooo annoying. I'll be ready to snap a pic and oops I left it on video mode. Then I have to stop the video and go back and change. And when you're taking pics of a 9 month old baby, they don't understand to stop and wait a few seconds.
Anyways... is there some kind of setting to display both the camera and video button on the same screen at the same time? I looked around but couldn't find anything.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi would like to start recording some Internet videos for a community i joined recently, and although i could just record them using my macbook's built-in camera, i'd rather do it in hd, and the only way to do it is using my iphone 4s.
now here's the deal, the front facing camera, as far as i know is not hd, so when recording with the back camera, which is hd, i can't see what i'm recording. so i was wondering if anyone knows of any app that would allow me to see what i'm doing in real time in my computer's screen. do you know of anything like this?

I have a motorola i1 and use it for work. There are times when I need to take a picture and send it out through email, however upon opening the camera today I find that the view finder and the pictures it takes are upside down. All menus and overlays are in their correct position and right side up. I can't find any settings that would reverse this effect, and what's more is I don't really see that much about it on the web. This is a new problem that I've only just encounted, the phone was not always like this. I really don't want to go back to the sprint store again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI take new photos on my blackberry 9900 they wont open or display... so the photo shows for the few seconds after i have taken it, then i can send it to someone if i want to within about 5 min of taking it - then if i try to access it later the photo doesnt open and i just get the picture icon instead? The first 30 odd photos I took in the begining are still there but all my newest ones dont open, I have tried downloading them to my computer but then it says :file format not supported on all the defective photos? And i tried restarting, taking out the battery, taking out the memory card??

It happens in a split second upon launching the camera app and upon exiting, you will notice it reverts back to the current display mode you are using. In my case Basic.
I also noticed this only during my recent update to OG8 firmware (Stagefright) update... not sure if it does it before also.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
My camera flash keeps going off randomly on it's own and when I try to run camera, it says: "Cannot connect to camera."

This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.

The issue is the same as in this thread for Z1, however it disappoints me that the same happens in Z3 which is so much newer.

The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .

Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.

However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.
I have my Z5 now for 1 day, and I see a big difference in the screen from my Z1 and the Z5. There is too much red on the Z5. On pictures faces are red instead of normal skin tone. I have disabled the X-reallity mode on both phones.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes (actually quite often) when I try to wake up my phone from standby, the display will just stay black with the LED turning white.The screen itself reacts, I can feel it vibrating when I touch it.Same when I recieve a call that would wake the phone or an alarm etc.Taking out the battery fixes the problem temporarily, so does waiting around 10 minutes then try again, but not all of the time.I already tried the following things:
1. I reseted the phone to factory settings. The problem still occurs even if it's just like out of the box.
2. I connected the phone to the computer to check if there were any new updates since 4.0.2.a.0.69 but there weren't any (please correct me if I'm wrong).
3. I took my phone to my carrier (Germany) and they sent it to a service center. I got it back and they said they fixed it (the carrier couldn't tell me what exactly they did though) and it worked fine for exactly one day. So this forum is my last chance, I saw a similar thread here so I think I'm not the only one with this problem. None of the posts could help me though and I was afraid if I posted there my problem would go unnoticed. Please don't be mad at me if that is considered rude or something
I don't want to take the phone to the carrier yet again seeing as I took them almost a month to send me my phone back without even fixing it correctly. I will if I have no other choice as I still have guaranty on this not even half a year old phone, but as long as I can avoid it, I'll try to fix it myself..I have the feeling the problem came with the last update. I don't want to upgrade to ICS as I don't like the look so I'm wondering, will there still be other updates for GB coming out?I don't want to flash the phone back to an older firmware as that would mean unbranding it and makes me lose my guaranty?
I bought SE Xperia Pro a few days ago, and everything on this phone is great except the battery life. It only last's one day max with min. usage. Main battery spender is display, with 59%, even with all options turned off, besides auto rotation. It rises by !% every day. I don't know if this is some software bug or else, current Android is 2.3.4 version. Would update on 4.0

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought my Z3 in January, 2015. Now the display broke at the edge. I went to a specialist for repairing Smartphones. They changed the display, but direct after the repair its flickering at the borders. I can also see some pressure points at the bottom border of the display.
The IT guy says its because of the battery. Within time it is getting bigger and now it is pushing against the display. That should be the reason for the flickering. I can't believe that, because the smartphone is only 7 months old.
I hardly took it in water for not more than 5 sec , the display has turned complete black n cant see anything, why do U sony have to claim its waterproof when it isn't actually...
