Feb 2, 2011I would like to know if it is possible thave your contacts list as pics rather than just text. I've been linking all my contacts with facebook and while it's nice to have a pic to see who's ringing me it would be even nicer to be able to search through pics rather than just names to find who I want to call.
I have only had this phone for 3 days so still finding my way round it but have had no luck in finding a way to do this.

Jul 22, 2011However big was my surprise that even if I download a picture and size it up to 960 * 854 I still have to 'resize' it on the phone when trying to use it. Funny thing is that if a few wallpapers I have downloaded with same size ( 960 * 854 ) it fits perfectly. Also tried to downscale the pic to lower resolutions like 480 * 360 without that helping.Last weird thing is that they also spans instead of just being fixed on each 'site' on phone.How to take any picture, like the one attached, and make it to fit without resizing it on the phone upon use?

Jun 3, 2012Tried to upload pics directly from phone (gallery) to my Picasa albums for the first time today.It takes me to the screen where it asks for Caption. My Google account shows on this page. However no album appears in the drop down list. When I'm done with this screen a message saying: "Failed to retreive account information" is displayed below briefly. The sharing/sync of course does not happen.I was using Picasa to upload my pics with my previous Android, with the same account. Why isn't it working with the Ray?

Jul 3, 2010Brand new Z5 Compact out of box. Switched from iOS and thus used iSMS2Droid/SMS Backup & Restore-trick to transfer text conversations to android. Worked like a charm apart from the fact that the profile pictures i messages are not the same as in phone book. Not a major issue but quite annoying.
I have tried the following
1. Delete conversation, delete messenger data & cache, restart, write new message - fawlty profile picture comes back
2. Delete contact in phonebook, create new contact with new picture - does not sync
I notice that if I click faulty profile picture in messages I get transferred to a contact which is not in my phone book, while if I click a correct profile picture in messages I get transferred to the proper contact.
So, how to get this to work correctly? Go back to factory settings is an option I guess but I'm worried the messages are synced somwhere so nothing will change by the time I come back.
I run Nova Launcher but don't quite think that matters.

Dec 3, 2011can I delete "thumbnail" pics/files at DCIM folder? Before no other folder available inthere other that the dcim, now maybe due to image or camera app, it added some folders. I assume this is for the "fish eye" app. I have all these files in my image folder. Would I have a problem if I remove it? I want to remove to free up some RAM/spaces.

They used to show up in the album as one photo which I could click into and move the slider up and down to select my favourite pic. Now it is showing all 61 pics as separate photos in the album.
New timeshift burst photos are behaving correctly. How can I fix this?

Jul 22, 2010Another day another teeth clenchingly frustrating problem with the Nokia X6 a.k.a "the most overpriced piece of fecal matter in existence".Now I am attempting the highly ambitious task of transferring a picture from the phone's memory to the PC. Oooh now I know you are probably gasping at the sheer complexity of this action. It is on par with rocket science you may think.So I am I om the dreadful Ovi Suite, and I have found the picture. So like a cad I try dragging it from the Ovi suite page to the desktop. Silly me, that only how every other program would allow you to do it! But no. Not ovi suite. Thankfully it stops me doing this, hell I can right click all day but the fantastic Ovi Suite just doesn't repond with a helpful pop out box giving me options such as "Copy" or "Cut". No, that would be too helpful.
Instead I have to click the picture then go to "copy to computer", where the wonderfully designed Ovi Suite then proceeds to whizz through it with a progress bar, but seeing as though just below this bar is a vast space containing nothingness I think it was a sensible decision for the programmers not to include, oh I don't know A DESTINATION FILEPATH! "Copying to computer" does not tell me where it has been copied to!
Christ was it a conscious decision of Nokia to just make this Ovi Suite the least user friendly as possible? So I have trawled through the millions of Nokia files in my Local disk and cannot find this image. This one little image that all I wanted to do was attach in an email. With a camera its a 30 second job, but good ol' Nokia has other ideas and improves the process by hiding the images away, deep in a folder that is completely secret to the user.So my question is does anybody know which file I should be looking for?The very fact I have had to sign in to this forum sums up how poor Nokia devices are.

All that comes through is an MMS with the pic file name in the subject and the sender's caption in the body. There is no option to download the file in the menu. I have the following apps installed: NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile (Ver 2.0.54), Pandora (ver 1.1.6), Sprint Navigation (ver 2.8.0.1199) and The Weather Channel (ver 1.1). A battery pull won't work and my security settings are fine.

Dec 28, 2015I have a few pictures that are 'selfies' that I cannot delete. I copy them to another gallery folder and then try to delete them from the 'selfie' folder. When I do it deletes the ones I moved too.
I have tried renaming them, changing the date, cropping them. Nothing.
I have tried emailing to my pc, changing name, date etc, then texting and emailing back to my phone. Same thing If I rename them, and copy them to another folder, it automatically renames them back to the original name.

Feb 3, 2014when I try save my pics off my HTC One to my PC, they are stored on the phone in a 'thumbnail' folder no. Once I transfer them to the PC, I cannot zoom in on them at all as they lose all clarity completely. I can only imagine that the problem is the phone somehow saving the pics as thumnails rather than as they used to save.The pics used to store in DCIM/100media.They now appear to save in DCIM/thumbnails.

Sep 8, 2015I am hoping to recover some photos off of my SD card. I previously used my 4gb sd card in a Blackberry Z10 and have switched to a LG G4 about a month ago. My pictures first showed up on the SD card but I was unable to see them as it said file type was unsupported. Now the SD card shows nothing at all and says it needs to be formatted. When I put it in my PC it says the same thing, that it needs to be formatted.
I see there are a ton of recovery software options but nothing seems to be working. Maybe because I haven't deleted it? Will formatting delete my files? Do I have any other options? I have pictures of my baby I really don't want to lose...
