Xperia PLAY :: Unlock The Screen Using Gaming Buttons?
Sep 6, 2010I woke up this morning to find that the screen on my Xperia Play had stopped working. However, after a couple of restarts it began working again.
Now when the screen stopped working I began to panic as I am awaiting a phone call about my start date for a new job.
So when the phone screen was temporarily not working, I slid out the game pad to see if it was possible to unlock the phone and enter the pin unlock for my sim card by using the PS keys and dPad.
Successfully, by pressing a combination of the MENU button and another button I actually got to the screen which required me to enter my pin - from which I could have done successfully using the dPad and 'x' button.
Unfortunately, before I got to enter my pin the screen locked and I didn't quite catch the key combination in order to get back to the same pin unlock screen.
BB Bold :: White Stripes On The Left Side Of Screen?
Sep 8, 2012Recently i bought a BB Bold 9700 and it was working just fine until one day a white stripe appeared on the left side of my screen. This didnt bother me so much. A couple of days later another stripe appeared; this was when i started to be worried. I looked for a solution online and i tried pressing on it and then clicking the "p" key, i've tried pulling the battery, and i've tried simply resetting it. I have never dropped this phone or gotten it wet. I did get a private screen for it and the stripe appeared after i got it so that might have something to do with it. Now there are 2 stripes most of the time but sometimes it switches to 1.

Mar 1, 2010Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

Feb 28, 2012I bought my ray a couple of weeks ago. It seems to have an intermittent fault where the right side of the screen goes dead or top if the phone is in landscape. This means I am unable to delete in texts and push icons to the right in the home screens etc. It seems to rectify itself for an hour or so then goes wrong again. I have emailed Sony and they recommended doing a software repair through the pc centre. Other than deleting all my apps etc this did nothing. Can anyone suggest a solution for this. I was wondering if it was a calibration issue and if there was a way to adjust the calibration?!

Sep 18, 2011ive bought Xperia Game cus there had a joystick and look good for gaming ... and when im playing to ( Eternal Legacy HD or Asphalt 6 HD ... ) and more game that have good grafic , the phone can restart alone between 5 min - 1 hour ... also restarting from playing some lower grafic like Spectral soul and some other .. they are all compatible with xperia play and ive bought those game ( Android market or Gameloft ) ive also read some ppl have this bug from playing Bruce Lee !!! . do the Xperia play will have update to fix that soon ?

Apr 4, 2015I have bought my Z3 just 2 weeks ago and already having problems with it, actually had screen issue on 2nd day of purchase but it became alright after a restart and phone worked properly, now today I can see black lines running across left side of the screen after several restarts and PC companion repair, screen is working fine though it flickers from time to time also the left side touch isnt working! I feel some connector is loose inside my phone or might be some bigger problem? I'm not sure myself.
Its been only 2 weeks, such an expensive phone and i'm already experiencing problems also my phone has not been dropped or been subjected to water.
Xperia Z3 :: No Response When Touch Right Hand Side Of Screen After Last Update
Feb 9, 2015After last update my screen doesn't respond when I touch the right hand side of the screen. The only way to type text is in horizontal position. When I try to draw with Sketch app, there was a vertical line in the right side that don't respond on my touch and stays blank. I didn't drop the phone, glove mode is not on, e.t.c.

Feb 4, 2011Newbie here with a brand spanking new Xperia 8.This may seem petty, but on the camera viewing screen there are two black lines down either side, similar to a widescreen TV broadcasting a show that is in a non-widescreen normal format.
I have convinced myself that I have done something to make this happen and that it wasn't like that at first. So my question is, can these be removed in some setting somewhere is this how it actually is all the time?

Aug 6, 2012My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

Jun 6, 2015Today i booted up my phone (Z3) and saw that the screen is awkwardly milky and there are white "strings" on it. I can see everything and my phone is fully working. But that milky thing is annoying as **bleep** since i cant see any image as it is. already did factory reset it. Didnt change anything.
The phone is protected by tempered glass on the screen and the backcover. Its also protected by a rubbercase. It never fell to the ground and it never got wet. There is no damage on the phone. Jan 17, 2012This has been happening with my R800i Xperia play for a while now. During use, the phone would freeze, and when I turn on my phone again, I am greeted with a white-pixelated mosaic. I can receive notifications, and I can unlock my phone, well everything works really but I cant see the screen. Usually taking out the battery would work, but that stopped working. Now I just pray randomly pressing stuff will work. Then whenever I opened the game pad, the same thing would happen, every time. When it came back, I tried updating the phone, all my apps, I tried everything, and it keeps happening, and now its stuck, and wont come back to normal. I got my phone for a reason, I rarely even played on it, I just called and sent texts, and now its not working.

However, my girlfriend and I are currently on a Verizon family plan and despite me constantly explaining how the iPhone will be the best investment she will ever make (I even used to have my own iPhone at the same time as the Verizon phone), she still needs more convincing that AT&T is at least pretty similar to Verizon's service and monthly bill.
Shortened story shorter (the point): I'm looking for some type of up-to-date comparison chart/website to compare the two. I tried Google but couldn't find anything worthwhile. I have a feeling if there's anything out there, MR would know.
I just thought of something else. Incase Apple is so busy tonight that they don't want to cancel Verizon and set me up with AT&T until they "officially" open the store (10am), can I still just pay for the two phones and set them up with our old Verizon numbers and new AT&T plan at a later time? Obviously I would do this to insure I have the phones in my possession and won't need to wait until they have new stock.
