Xperia X10 :: Where Has The Gps/wifi Shortcut Gone
Oct 21, 2011
I recently updated my x10.... But now I have lost the toolbar that allowed me to switch on and off things like gps/wi-fi/brightsness/bluetooth Its made the phone much harder to navagate. Am I going made or was this upgrade pointless.
I just upgraded my X10 with Gingerbread. But now at the bottem next to my app menu button there are four shortcut buttons: media, messaging, contacts and phone. Now I dont mind the media button, but I use third party applications for my dialer, messages and phonebook. How can I remove these buttons or replace them with the applications I use?
i have Xperia Ray. I want to add a shortcut to wifi in status bar. Because there is not way to open/close wifi without closing the existing application and going to settings or home screen.is it possible to add shortcuts to status bar?
I want make a new shorcute of URL/internet adress from my google favorites. When I press a long time with my finger , i do not have the option to move the favorite on the Home screen. So i use another solution, create with my "widgets & applis" and i continue with "Raccourci" (mean shortcut) and i choose "Favori" (mean favorite). With this method, I managed to create 1 year ago the first shorcut "Emploi du temps" (mean Timetable) in gray on the Home screen.BUT NOW, i came across on this page !!! How can I do ??? :'( (But not using the widget "Favoris" from google chrome in my list, he is too big !)
The shortcut widget for having shortcuts for apps in the symbian 3 or symbian Anna platform is made for having four shortcuts and nothing less. If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned. Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Try this link...www.mediafire.com/?a01dw4w4azasjmn2. Install the app anywhere in your phone, phone memory, mass memory or memory card.3. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. Once the shortcut bar is added, tap it and go into the settings for adding the shortcuts to it.6. Now if you want to add only one app in the shortcut bar, select the desired location from one to four and add the app. In the rest of the locations, add the vacuum app.7.
Now close the shortcut and return to home screen. You should see only one shortcut in the shortcut bar. This way you can place any one app at any location on the grid with app. What's actually vacuum app? Its a dummy app which when installed, results in an app which doesn't do anything on installation and has a transparent icon. So an unknowing tap on the shortcut also will do nothing. Tada! You've a shortcut bar with just one app... Its customizable between one and four apps. This has been tested and works in my Nokia C7 with Anna. So should work in other symbian
After one year almost with my XPeria X8, yesterday I came across a Widget named "Smart Search". It opens a great contact search with a small dial pad and the list of found contacts. It searches by the text or numbers typed on the dial pad, and is very fast. Much better than installing a third-party app.But the widget is HUGE. And I don't need a widget. Instead, I just want a shortcut to the application. Widgets use more memory anyway.how can I access the Smart Search without using the widget?
make an app that can enable user to make a short cut to home screen for a selected picture or video from galery. so when i have somekinda video that i just downloaded from Internet (via my xperia ofcourse) and i want to show that video, i can do that more more quickly by just pressing that shortcut, instead of pressing menu, scrol, scrol, scrol, select galery, scrol, scrol, select videos, scrol, scrol, play,. uh.. feels like forever to just play a video ah?! but, if this app is there, i just unlock the screen, and just press the shortcut, and, wallaa.. video played...
as in the beta ics ROM,there was a good and smart notification tray with toggle options with many shortcuts like the samsung UI.but in the original upgrade of xperia ray ics, there no shortcut.
I've updated to lollipop & new built update & everything works nice.. Love the new update so far.. Battery drains much faster though. Is there any possibility to change google now shortcut of home button long press? Can we set something else to that shortcut?
How do I control what shortcut icons appear in the screen corners ?? And yes I have attempted to glean the info from the manual but without success. My immediate problem is that the bottom left & botton right icons have changed to something I never use, which makes it a PITA to find the applications I really want there.
Is there a way to put a shortcut on the main screen for the battery level? I have been unsuccessful so far. I don't think the shortcuts option will let your drill down that deep to place that specific shortcut on the main screen.
There is no shortcut for search with the menu button after the ICS upgrade. Is there any solution to it? I had already asked it before on my previous post but didn't get any reply yet.
In my old Xperia phone, I can create Direct Dial shortcut on Home Screen. In which the icon displayed for the shortcut is the photo in the Contact. However, after I changed to the new Z2, the photo can't be displayed as icon on the Home Screen.
As the title of the thread says, i'd just like to know if this is at all possible. I've tried getting to it via the shortcuts menu, and by navigating through the menus and trying the long press method. Nothing happens though. Please share your knowledge if you have found a way.
So i'm browsing something like twitter or anything else on my phone by scrolling down. There has GOT to be a shortcut to go strait back to the top. I must be missing it right?
