Google Nexus 5 :: Attach Animate Files (GIF Format) In Android Stock Gmail App
Dec 29, 2014I have questions about animated gif file(s) which is send by Android Gmail as attachment My device is non rooted N5 with kitkat (4.4.4); gmail is 5.0.1 (1642443).
1) Unable to open gif attachment as animated file in gmail, I usually use Quickpic to open gif file in my device and in cloud storage because Gallary dose not work. But in gmail i do not have to option to choose the app, the default image viewer in gmail ( may be gallery ?) dose not display the animated effect. So i have to save the file to my phone or to Gdrive to see the animation. Is there a way to view the animation directly in the email without save the file??
.2)Could i send image files in Android gmail as 'In Line' Similar to the 'insert photo' function in desktop gmail instead of 'Attachment', how?

Aug 9, 2011Have configured three email accounts on my curve 3g and have been receiving emails and can also send emails from all of them. Can also view attachments such as pdf, xls and doc. The only problem I have is that I cannot attach pdf, xls, or doc files present on my device or media card to any emails. When I go to the attach option in email, only Picture and Contact pop up. Called up service provider (Ideacellular, India) and they told me Blackberry needs to send me attachment services. Called up redington, blackberry support partner in India. After 4 unsuccessful attempts got hold of the supervisor, who told me that " Files cannot be attached to emails on a blackberry". Prevented myself from fainting and told him to check again. He did check again, told me the same thing and has arranged a callback from Blackberry on tuesday. Researched on the internet, found out about blackberry attachment service. Cannot find it on my device. Connected to desktop manager/Applications/ cannot be seen there too! Have downloaded the OS 6 and installed on my comp.

Nevertheless, I used the Android Sideload Wonder Machine (after many pain staking days of trying to load the JDK & SDK) I finally loaded my surveillance system software and it works. However, the surveillance system also sends emails to my Google account whenever it sense motion in the room. When I access the email, the JPG file is attached, but I can't view it inline. I can only download it to view the picture. Given the email and the JPG attachment are related to security issues, I need a fast way of viewing the JPG file without having to download or use the browser. Both are time consuming efforts

With bb10, while composing an email i can click attach files it takes me to BB10 file manger which has all my drives integrated - I can choose files from dropbox or skydrive and attach it to an email while replying to an email (remember. However, I am not able to attach FIles and Videos while sending emails; I only get 2 options when I press the attach button while I am compising emails which are pictures and contacts. I also have a friend of mine who gets the attach file option on his emails.
I have tried everything, from rebooting the device, to wiping out the memory, to uninstalling the software completely but my problem remained.
I do get a long list of options while I am sending a text or BBM message.

My data connection is fine and other apps are able to connect to internet through wi-fi or EDGE without any issue.
