I'm having the problem using wired hands free (not bluetooth) for making and receiving voice calls after updating my experia x10 to android 2.1. i'm unable to hear the opposite party voice through the hands free.

It is properly getting connected and getting paired with the device but while making the call the other end cannot hear my voice but I can hear them clearly. Initially I thought my bluetooth hands free is having problem so I bought another. But the problem was still the same. I can hear from the bluetooth device but the party cannot hear. Then I tried the same bluetooth handsfree with another Nokia 5800 express music and found it working fine. Is there anyone can help me to solve this issue. The difference between my mobile and other is the software version. I am having the latest version but the other is the first version. Is there any hardware issue or software issue with this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedUse my wife's Z2 for a while and wanting to buy but fortunately didn't because the phone been having call quality issue as in the other party can't hear clearly, sound muffled or voice breaking up. Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.

I have a Sony Z3 D6653 running Android 5.1.1 and I have noticed a slightly frustrating issue. When on a call using the Sony headphones that came with the phone, everything starts off well. When the screen locks however, the microphone on the headphones mute. Unlocking the screen does not unmute the headphones, nor does muting and unmuting the call through the phone application.
The only way to unmute the microphone is to unplug the headphone, then the phone's microphone will work. It also starts working once the headphones are replaced. I have been having bluetooth microphone problems, which I still haven't resolved, and will post on another thread. In order to try and fix that, I have taken off noise suppression, equaliser, and any other microphone / noise related enhancements. I have left Okay Google working on all screens though.
I'm using a Xperia pro along with a Dell BH200 Bluetooth headset, Unfortunately calls does not come on Bluetooth, I can hear Audio/Video anything other than taking calls, Sometimes when receiving calls i have to receive call turn off bluetooth and then answer phone.

This is full volume, and the speaker on.I don't have a landline to check if it's ringing or not, but I have called one of my own numbers that rings twice and goes straight to voicemail, so I know something is definitely wrong. I think I can hear static and the other party, but it's so faint it's hard to tell.

When I call others it happens once in every 3-5 calls that others can not hear my voice. It sometimes happens that the voice mutes in the middle of a call.. Sometimes I hear an echo of my own voice. It has kept happening since a month ago while before then I hardly had any problem using the phone. I eagerly wish to get it solved since I surely believe this is a software problem or perhaps a bug.

But what's odd is the voice memo feature works to what seems normal and normal phone calls (without speakerphone) also sound fine. Even If I plug in my apple earbuds or third party earbuds the mic works too.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Z5 Dual. Others have mentioned to me that they have a hard time understanding me when I'm on the phone with them, so I did some tests. The thing is, if I hold the phone as close to my face as possible, the audio quality on the receiving side is okay. However, if the phone is away from my cheek even just a centimeter or so, audio degrades very quickly. The impression is that the sound gets quieter, as well as cutting out occasionally. I know what this kind of thing sounds like and I'm pretty sure this is some kind of suppression mechanism running wild. I searched, and for lots of previous Xperia Z... models there are recommendations on these same forums to switch off the call option for noise suppression, but the Z5 doesn't have that option anymore.
What can I do? For the time being, I have that workaround of pressing the phone to my face as best I can, but this is not comfortable, especially since I also have a beard. I can't quite believe that the noise suppression mechanism should really overreact like this... any way of configuring this at all?
All of a sudden I cannot hear voices on incoming calls. I hear voices on outgoing calls perfectly fine. My phone did not fall or anything like that.

I tried calling out again this morning and the same thing happened. The only way I can hear the other person is to have the phone on loud speaker. I just purchased a new Z5 Compact and have found that when making a call using the speaker phone / handsfree option the person on the other end of the call hears the echo of their speaking. Its like what is coming out of my speaker is being picked up by my microphone and sent back to the other party with a slight delay.I have seen other posts in a similar vein.I like to use the handsfree speakerphone option for calls a lot and this is a big problem for me.
