Nokia Music :: File Format Not Recognized On Certain Files?
Mar 24, 2011I am facing an error on some files downloaded from ovi player as- "File format not recognized". I have ovi music unlimited subscription. Although i have tried reinstalling windows media player, Ovi player etc., but those certain files just redownload in few seconds and also they have Unknown Artists and unknown Albums with them. While i have no problems in playing other files , so i don't think this is a codec related issue.

Feb 18, 2010I just started getting this message this week I don't know what happened but I can't play any .avi or .mp4 files only .wmv and .mp3 are working.Any help? I did battery bulls, spamming the play button but there is still an error playing the videos and stuff I record won't playback either.

Aug 30, 2010When I power on my N900 I get a notification message saying device storage format unsupported. Note: I don"t have a memory card, this is the Internal Memory Card. When I check (settings, memory) It says memory card corrupt 1.86GB available. When I check File Manager, It says no files/folders. I tried flashing the firmware and emmc and it worked everything was back. But when I restart my phone same notification. When run mount/home/user/MyDocs via X-Terminal. In File Manager I can see N900 folder but in Settings/Memory is still says memory corrupt. When I restart phone everything does not work again. Can someone please assits me.

Aug 22, 2010I got a Samsung Forever (SGH-A886) and I would like to be able to put games on it that I have DLed onto my computer.problem is that rogers and there infinite wisdom have fixed it so that you cant do this. I transfer the game to the phone, fine but when I try to run it it tells me that its an "unsuported file format". Now I know this is because the phone has been locked so that you have to DL stuff directly to the phone but I don't have a data plan and would really like to be able to put these games and such onto my phone from my computer.

Jul 8, 2011I have bought a X10 mini pro on ebay and replaced the 2GB card by a 16GB sdhc. I copied the contents of the former onto the latter via my PC.Since I did that, the phone starts to play one of the mp3 tracks I copied to it (always the same) as soon as I connect the USB cable, regardless whether it's for synchronising or charging.The song is not played by the audio player app - if I start a track there, then I here both at the same time. Killing all processes doesn't stop it either.The only way is to switch off the phone. Switching it on again doesn't restart the music, unless the cable is removed and plugged in again.Obviously this is more of an oddity than a problem, but it is somewhat annoying, especially since I usually intend to fill the battery when connecting the phone, not drain it with a song on its lips.

Aug 8, 2015When I had the Z3 for only a few months, everything was working fine. After a few updates it seems as though the videoformat has changed, because I can't import them in any software on my computer. Windows Media Player won't play them, Sony Vegas editing software won't accept it, Avidemux won't convert it. When I open the folders with videofiles from the Z3, no image of them can be displayed. It suddenly seems completely incompatibable with anything on Windows. How do I get to use the stills and video shot with my Z3 again?

if I click yes, it just downloads a very small file and won't let me open it -- its not the full .JAD file anyway, only about 3kb. But what could be wrong?

Feb 14, 2012.wav files that come as attachments to an email from our office voicemail system won't play. On device, it says" the media being played is of an unsupported format" The files will actually play the first time the email arrives if you chose the preview option. But subsequent attempts to play the file, or if you choose download and save them, they then can not be played. I confimed that these files can be played on a computer, and my Torch can play other .wav files.
I've tried having the files sent to all of the different types of email accounts that I have on my Torch(both Enterprise and Internet), and they won't play from any of them. So it seems that something happens to the file once it's received and stored. If I forward the email with the attached .wav file, it can be played on a computer.Also, I've downloaded other media players to the Torch, and none of them can play the file either.

Jun 27, 2012I was listening to music on my Blackberry, and leant on it. Somehow, I managed to make the music fastforward so that four seconds of the song is played in one actual second. I've tried everything to stop this, I've stopped the song, played other songs, turned the phone on and off again, and yet the same thing happens.
I really can't do without my music and I use my blackberry as an ipod, so I have no other alternative.

Aug 21, 2014I have a new iPhone 5S which plays music at a much quieter volume than the radio in the car with the stereo at the same level. My old iPhone 4S is fine and plays music [i]very[/i] loudly, but both my new and previous 5S phones had the same problem. Even if I turn the car's stereo system up to full volume neither 5S phone produce loud music. I have a new Volvo XC60 and all the phones and the car have the all the most recent available software updates. I usually use the phone on Bluetooth but I get the same problem if I switch the input source over to iPod and Aux. The phone settings have Sound Check, EQ and Volume Limit all switched off and the Volume Limit set at maximum.Â

May 20, 2010I am hoping you guys can give me some insight as to what is going on. The other day, I got a phone call, and when I pressed the ignore, a song started playing. Now, more about the situation, I have OS 5.0, and my phone was on silent. The song played after pressing ignore is not a song on my blackberry that I am aware of, not my ring tones or music I've put on here. So, I don't know how the music started, why, but I couldn't get it to stop either. I had to do a battery pull to get it to stop. Anyone have any clues to get this to never happen again?

Apr 15, 2012MA 1.6.6. N16 Playing music works ok but the first time this happened it was after 1 hour. Then I get a popup dialog saying "You must set a fit song". The music then skips through the song and then skips songs continually.
This happens everytime I workout. Today it happened after 20 minutes Since I have never set a fit song I tried to set one. I had to turn off the music.
