Apr 18, 2012I don't use my handsfree so much, but it was working before without any problem. today when I tried to connect the headset I saw a message: "accessory not supported" and I found out that the button and mic were not working.I searched the forum but didn't find similar topics with original SE headset which came with my phone.I guess it is because of my latest update (from .42 to .62 baseband) cause I didn't do any thing special with my phone.

May 12, 2010I have been experiencing a funny problem when charging my N97. I bought my phone in August last year. It had been working fine till now and still is. I really have no complaints when it is concerned to performance and usablity. Initial issues were promptly solved with the firmware updates.
Yesterday night, I found out that I had this problem. When I hooked up my phone with my charger, it did not show any light. I tried to use the charger on another mobile(SAMSUNG) which sports the same USB port as my N97 and it worked ! I also used the samsung charger (though its only 700mA) on my N97 and the charging indicator glowed ! To my surprise, the charger adapter pin that ships with the N97 allowing us to charge the phone with older chargers also allowed me to charge my phone. In short, everything charged my phone(including USB) except the provided charger.
Secondly, of lately the headset has become dogdy. Earlier, even if I ran while having hooked up, the connection was good. Now, even if I move the slightest, the phone looses the connection with the headset and the headset icon disappears. Then I need to plug it out and the plug it in again for about 2-3 times to get the icon to reappear. Now if anyone can explain to me why this is happening and the solution to it, I would be really happy.

Aug 22, 2011I have currently installed GB (generic) on my X10 which is rooted and have xRecovery installed. Last weekend I installed the "Stutter Fix" and it solved a few problems I had and I love it! The problem now though is that when the phone rings or a notification comes (SMS, email etc), if I have the headset plugged in, no sound comes out of the phone's speaker. It only comes out of the headset and that wasnt the case before. When the headset is not pluged in the speaker works fine, so there is no harware issue or anything like that. I have the headset pluged in 90% of the time so I really need this feature. I looked at the settings and such but I didnt find anything that could change that and put it back as it was. I dont want to flash a new ROM again.

Nov 6, 2015When I have my headphones plugged in, the music plays both in them and still comes out from the phone. This also happens with conversations... When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.
I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. I have also googled it, and I have tried to restart my phone. And I have checked if they really are inserted correctly. What I can do? I just want to hear my music in piece and keep my conversations for myself.

Nov 13, 2012i recently updated my neo l to 4.1.b.0.626 and started getting this volume issue with headset. it is stuck at around 60%. increasing the volume using the settings menu briefly pops up a warning that says something similar to "high volume can damage ears" and vanishes before any action can be taken. using the volume rocker in application such as Internet causes the playback to stop. the volume itself is way too low to be practical even for someone with good hearing. no such issues without the headset. i am using the sony supplied headset. i have tried a factory reset and didn't work.
