I forgot the password for the screen lock on my xperia neo L phone. how can i unlock my screen now? Oh and I just tried the PC companion software update but it just doesn't work.
View 1 RepliesI've forgot the screenlock pin of my Sony Xperia Z2, the smartphone is stock so i don't have the bootloader unlocked so i can't go in recovery mode.
From Sony PC Companion i can't do nothing because i must unlock the phone.
From Flashtool i can't do nothing because i have USB Debug Mode set to OFF and i can't enable it if i can't unlock the smartphone. Otherwise if I can set the phone in Flashmode or Fastboot Mode.
I have put a password on my phone and forgotten what it was so now unable to get into it!

View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently, my HTC one m7 requires that i swipe the screen and then enter my screen lock password to access the phone.
I would rather that i didnt have to use the swipe before entering the password, but i cannot seem to disable this without disabling the screen lock completely.
I have tried several apps to do this including No Lock and Anti Lock, but both just seem to completely disable the screen locking at all.
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed

2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song

View 6 Replies View RelatedI hated the screen lock on my G5 ( only had it on one day)so tried to get rid of it - typed in password - then I tried an option and it asked me to type in password again and confirm 2nd time. Maybe I tapped in something wrong which didn't match ( did it without my glasses) - but it annoyingly said wrong password now and keeps saying it's the wrong password. What now? I can't find anywhere how to turn screen lock or password off or to reset/forgotten password or the like. Who can I get in touch with if problem is bad. I don't want to factory reset and all that malarky. I've had the phone for nearly a year on my contract and what the hell made me do this stupid thing I don't know. View 2 Replies View Relatedif you have an ecrypted Samsung Galaxy S5 you already know that once you've encrypted it your only option for a screen lock is to enter a secure password. This gets annoying fast. When you want to access your phone quickly on the go it can be difficult to unlock it with any speed. Well I've come up with a way to get past the password lock screen with the same speed as a password and consistently quicker than the finger print scanner unlock.
What I've done and I've included on how to do it yourself instructions below. I've set my password to be one of my hot key options on my Samsung keyboard. I've also shortened my delay for the long press but how to do that isnt included here. (hopefully with screen shots we'll see first time attempt at posting pics here)
Doing this will allow you to quickly get by your lock screen and still have an encrypted device.
**NOTE** This is not a substitute to remember your password. Know it regardless of this being setup or not.
**NOTE** If you have auto space turned on (factory default setting) you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the added space or you will receive an incorrect password error message.
Here's how to do it:
1. Enter the pull down menu and click settings.
2. Tap Language & Input.
3. Now click on the samsung keyboard settings icon.
4. Next if turn on the my hot keys icon.
5. Enter your password under any number to long press to have it typed.
*Don't forget if you have auto space on you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the space or your password will not work.
Just curious... I have my lock screen enabled (with numbers, not pattern). If my phone were to get lost or stolen, how hard is it for someone to bypass the lock screen? I was looking around on google and it looked like there were some issues in the past with the ease of bypassing it, but couldn't find if it has since been resolved with Froyo and beyond (left the phone at home, so can't test).If the built in password functionality is bogus, can you recommend any apps that you all like and are impossible to crack (or at least thug proof if I were to get robbed on the subway)? I'm really not interest in apps that locak individual applications, just the overall phone.

I restarted the device, upon restart the finger print scanner was enabled upon restart. but once i return back to the lock screen it is gone. Why they wont stay enabled or enable at all?
Figured out it was set to only enable after 10 mins of no activity.
