View 1 RepliesCurrently, my HTC one m7 requires that i swipe the screen and then enter my screen lock password to access the phone.
I would rather that i didnt have to use the swipe before entering the password, but i cannot seem to disable this without disabling the screen lock completely.
I have tried several apps to do this including No Lock and Anti Lock, but both just seem to completely disable the screen locking at all.
I dont use BES or BIS I use this on Boost. How can I remove the password from appearing every few minutes. Its annoying as heck. I know the password so its not like im locked out of the phone. Is this the same thing? HOW-TO: Remove IT Policy without blank IT policy file

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to remove the camera shortcut form my new Samsung Galaxy S6 which is running android version 5.0.2.
I go to settings, personal and then to lockscreen and security and there is nothing. I browse and there is nothing.
I also would like to have to type in my PW before answering the phone which means I want to remove that shortcut too form the lockscreen.
I've tried many things but it won't go. I've stopped all three processes but even this won't remove it!
This transition from iPhone to S5 has proven to be a total nightmare.
Is there any way of removing the camera and phone icons on the lock screen. Could do it on my Alpha, but cannot seem to find the settings on my S6.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my lock screen there's a small black bar that says 'Bill Cycle' and has some other information on it and no matter what I do I can't get it to go away. It just stays on my lock screen and therefore I can't see my wallpaper behind it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI hated the screen lock on my G5 ( only had it on one day)so tried to get rid of it - typed in password - then I tried an option and it asked me to type in password again and confirm 2nd time. Maybe I tapped in something wrong which didn't match ( did it without my glasses) - but it annoyingly said wrong password now and keeps saying it's the wrong password. What now? I can't find anywhere how to turn screen lock or password off or to reset/forgotten password or the like. Who can I get in touch with if problem is bad. I don't want to factory reset and all that malarky. I've had the phone for nearly a year on my contract and what the hell made me do this stupid thing I don't know. There should be a caution warning on it. Is my phone going to lock me out once the lock sets in if I don't use the phone for 5mins or whatever the activation time was?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy password comes on too quick once the screen has gone off. How do i delay this as its very annoying to keep having to enter my password after i leave it for a minute or so. Best phone i have every had and i have had every phone there is!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI somehow managed to change my screenlock password, it used to be a four-digit code.I had the phone in my pocket for a while and after that I can't get in.s there anything I can do besides reseting to factory settings? If I connect the phone to my computer I can't reach any data on the phone so I can't save pictures and stuff like that so I'm not very keen on reseting the whole thing. read somewhere that I might be able to use my gmail-account but I don't have that option. When I type in the wrong password five times it just says I have to wait for 30 seconds. Over and over again..

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan I have a pattern on the lock screen, but have it switch to a password after a certain amount of time?
View 2 Replies View Relatedif you have an ecrypted Samsung Galaxy S5 you already know that once you've encrypted it your only option for a screen lock is to enter a secure password. This gets annoying fast. When you want to access your phone quickly on the go it can be difficult to unlock it with any speed. Well I've come up with a way to get past the password lock screen with the same speed as a password and consistently quicker than the finger print scanner unlock.
What I've done and I've included on how to do it yourself instructions below. I've set my password to be one of my hot key options on my Samsung keyboard. I've also shortened my delay for the long press but how to do that isnt included here. (hopefully with screen shots we'll see first time attempt at posting pics here)
Doing this will allow you to quickly get by your lock screen and still have an encrypted device.
**NOTE** This is not a substitute to remember your password. Know it regardless of this being setup or not.
**NOTE** If you have auto space turned on (factory default setting) you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the added space or you will receive an incorrect password error message.
Here's how to do it:
1. Enter the pull down menu and click settings.
2. Tap Language & Input.
3. Now click on the samsung keyboard settings icon.
4. Next if turn on the my hot keys icon.
5. Enter your password under any number to long press to have it typed.
*Don't forget if you have auto space on you will need to press backspace 1 time to delete the space or your password will not work.
I don't want to use the password anymore but can't get back to none. Also I had smart lock setup with bt.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my S5. I am trying to add a much needed added layer of security to the device through either a password or finger print. I have gone through the process of enabling both, each time when I return the lock screen it is not enabled?? Settings clear show it is on.
I restarted the device, upon restart the finger print scanner was enabled upon restart. but once i return back to the lock screen it is gone. Why they wont stay enabled or enable at all?
Figured out it was set to only enable after 10 mins of no activity.
Is there any way to remove the password lock for my z2 when i have the VPN connected? The only for me to remove the password for lock screen is only when i delete all the VPN settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with the new Android, 2.3.4 while using ActiveSync to connect to my corporete email on Exchange Server ... A corporete policy gets pushed to my phone and I need to accept it. OK, no problem ... I accept it, but the Lock screen settings ( under Settings -> Location And Security -> Change Lock Screen ) only allows the "Password" option, saying the other options,e.g. the PIN way is remotely disabled by administrator, although that is NOT the case. I've double checked with our system admins on this.Our system admins are NOT forcing the "Password" option ... they're OK with just using the PIN, and I had it like that, in the old 2.3.3 version !For this setup ... this will display the long PASSWORD for lock-screen, instead of just a PIN which is what I prefer to to use instead:
* Android 2.3.4
* gingerbread.xwki4 on Samsung Galaxy S2
* Exchange 2007 sp3
This policy is NOT forced by our admins, since this is the policy:Here are my complete Password tab settings on the server, so you can see the admins are NOT requesting this long password ( PIN is enough! ):
Require Password - checked Require alphanumeric password - unchecked <--- attention, this is UNCHECKED.
Enable password recovery - checked
Require encryption on the device - checked
[code].....
But with this update, you need the following for the unlock screen of ActiveSync for Exchange Server:6 letters, and one number in the previous version ( 2.3.4 ) you needed 6 letters, TWO numbers and one sign I want to be able to use ONLY 4 letters PIN, as it is allowed on our network, as you can see in our policy just pasted above in this thread!
I set a 4 digit lock pin and now I want to remove it. I don't want to set a new pin just remove the pin that is there, i.e no pin.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have Android 5.0 and there is no option to remove the stock lock screen to make room for a third party lock screen application. I bought the mobile with 5.0 Lollipop already installed so I do not know how it was on 4.4 KitKat. I have no carrier as I am using the D855 international version of the G3. Here is what comes up when I try change the lock screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMessage "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device."I have got a Samsung S6 SM-G920P Sprint with FRP Lock. The method is very simple - using OTG connecting a flash drive with downloaded app to a phone and then file manager will pop up, then just run app. The app basically just letting you get to phone settings where it will let to reset the phone and remove FRP Lock
Problem is that file manager wont automatically launch when i plug it in and so as far I understand the method doesn't work for most or all owners of Galaxy S6 and Note 5. I wonder if the file manager wont pop up after latest update or it was that way originaly? If it happened after update is there any way to flash earlier version? I tried ODIN to flash stock ROM but it fails and I am getting message SW REW. CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3 BINARY: 2
I did restore to factory few times, last time - using Smart Switch. The phone has official Rom, not rooted..Or is there any other way to bypass activation to get to settings, other way remove FRP Lock?
I don't see a setting anywhere. Surely there is a way to remove these items right?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't like this feature to be unlocked, that is why I have a passcode on my iPhone. Now, whenever my you daughter is able to get her hands on it, she fills up the memory space with random pictures. This feature would not be bad if it had the option to disable.

I would like to remove my camera from the lock screen. I went to settings and I don't see an option to turn this off. Does anyone know how to do this? I have already updated to the new ios5.1 software

I got a new phone and set fingerprint password. It didn't really work so I got rid of it and just used a PIN. Now that I got my scanner fixed I want to use it again but it needs the backup password which I don't have. I tried scanning my finger and it didn't work. It will not let me scan again and is asking for the backup password for it to be able to open. I am not locked out of my phone rather I just need the backup password to change some settings. I would like to know if there is a way to reset the backup password without resetting my phone and keep in mind I am not locked out and still have full access just not the backup password? I have tried android device manager also the samsung one and cannot seem to find it. I do not want to reset my phone and am rooted.
