I have tried to back up my iPhone and re-sync to remove data that I don't understand on my iPhone. There are over 5GB of "other" storage on my phone and I can't load my music because of this unknown stuff. How do I get rid of the "other" storage?

I'm facing this problem since the first M Preview, I recently updated to the preview 2 hoping that problem wold be fixed but it wasn't.
The default mass storage device label shows Unknown instead the device's name (Nexus 5), I'm not facing this issue on my Nexus 4 running 5.1.1 stock so I don't think it's an adb driver issue. I've tried to update the drivers to the latest on Google page, but no success.
I have an iPhone 5 and its at full capacity. Mostly due to my large music library. I noticed I can increase my iCloud storage to up 50GB with yearly payments. Does this increase the overall storage on the iPhone 5? Essentially, I am trying to increase how much music I can hold on my iPhone. If I add 10 to 20GB of iCloud storage, will I be able to add more data (audio files) to my iPhone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've run into a bit of a problem, as have MANY Photon 4G owners have as well.since mounting my Electrify as a USB mass storage device (the two "MOT" drives pop up in explorer), now the internal storage (which is where everything is) comes up as an unreadable drive.It mounted fine when I got it, then stopped working, then worked for a day, now it doesn't work.I've tried uninstalling drivers, taking out the battery, SD card, etc etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased the $100 per year additional storage, however, upon purchasing it, my phone has still not upgraded to the additional storage and will not allow me to take anymore pics; it says go to settings & upgrade storage, I did that already, but it is still reading the old 5 storage bites. I do not know what else to do! I tried to reboot my phone, that did not work, after rebooting I thought perhaps if hooked it up to my laptop and tried to sync it that might help, it says itunes cannot sync due to not having enough storage, go to settings to upgrade storage.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got an iPhone 2G, jailbroken and unlocked, running 3.0. I got my iPhone back after a month of letting my gf use it, and it needed 6 app updates through the app store. On the 3rd update, it wouldn't download the updates any more. I restarted the wifi connection (turned off wifi then back on) but it didn't get the download going. I powered off the device and turned it back on. Now it has three "blank" (kind of a fuzzy white) icons attempting to install itself, but only downloads something and stops at the install. The phone subsequently becomes unusable at that time (i.e. really slow). Cydia crashes on me, so that's not an option.

I'm trying to update to 4.0 with jailbreak using a custom cooked ipsw file with Snowbreeze 1.6.1 and keep getting error "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2)."
I've tried both DFU mode AND Recovery mode. I also remembered to remove Saurik's server ip in the hosts file. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling iTunes and rebooting. I even removed WiFi Sync software thinking that might have affected it somehow. I've uninstalled my vs/firewall software. NOTHING seems to work.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a 2 gb per month data plan, and never used more than ~500 mb. a few days ago i all of a sudden started getting notices that i was approaching my data limit. after some digging i found out i had apparently used 445 mb on 5/13 and 929 mb on 5/12. i have no idea what it was. i did play the iphone game hunters2 and stream some music for a while using the rixfm swedish radio app, but the game is not online and the radio was only for maybe an hour total. i watch the occasional Internet video but never video chat or download movies.

After the restore I got a popup on my phone that was asking for my Apple ID and password, the weird thing is there was already an email in the Apple ID field, the email that was there I have never seen in my life, and I don't know anyone by the name that was in the email.

Just went to update my iphone 4 (32gb) from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 to be greeted yet again with 'update failed, unknown error' followed by iphone in recovery mode.Now, my 3GS did this on 4.0 and 4.0.1, my 4 has done this on 4.0.1 and now 4.0.2.
